A really lovely class, Lesley's voice is soft yet clear. She stays really focused on the postures giving gentle reminders which we often forget (like don't let ribs flair out!) and love, love, love that there is no background music or anything, just pure silence and the instructions so you can simply concentrate on your own practice. There is a peaceful humility in her teaching, so refreshing, thank you :)
I'm just getting back into Hatha yoga after being away from yoga for 15 years. I was a teacher back in 1999. Your teaching is excellent and moving. I look forward to watching more of your videos as I go through the aches of starting over. I will use blocks this time around. :)

Good basic instruction! May I suggest that you include a list of equipment used before the instruction begins as well as taking a bit more time to explain pose positions. Just thinking of those who are true beginners.

I\ve been practicing Dharma for almost a year and have yet to do Yoga but since my body has been getting so tight with sitting and fast running sessions and the gym, I decided to try it today. I got hip surgery when I was 17 and it took me out of all sports. I've avoided going to yoga classes because I didn't know if I could even do any poses anymore.

Awesome! I have just started yoga, I had heart surgery a couple of years ago and was advised to give it a go, and I must say I am loving it (I had been putting it off). This is an amazing introduction to Hatha Yoga that felt invigorating yet soothing. Wow! What can i say???! Im 13 years old and i really want to lose some weight as i have put some on and this tutorial for begginers is amazing . Thought this would be a good way to get back into the routine before getting back onto YogaFix90. Pulled a muscle in my left lower back just over a week ago so had to stop. This was a gentle test to see where I am. There is still a little pain but more of an ache than a twinge. Absolutely gutted I had to stop for so long and even this class shows how quickly everything can tighten back up. Will reform the habit slowly. Any tips for the lower back?
James Robson I'm so sorry about your lower back. If your back hurts more when you fold forward, be sure not to go past 90 degrees until it heals fully (body in an "L" shape, standing or sitting). Laying on your stomach and practicing locust pose variations is good to strengthen your lower back when it hurts folding forward (flexion). If your back hurts more when your doing a backbend (like bridge or locust), stay out of backbends...take low cobra pose instead of up dog until it heals fully. Abdominal strengthening exercises are helpful when your back hurts in backbends (extension)
