We can all learn a lot from latif. about cooking? yeah. but more about just being happy in what you do. his natural way of saying insh'allah and bismillah (muslim expressions for 'god willing' and 'in the name of god' (used when beginning something, like a task, or a journey for example) respectively), and flitting between his mother tongue and our language (shows respect to the elders to speak to them in their native tongue), is an absolute joy to watch (the smile at 24:48 says it all), and more importantly a lesson in bringing down cultural barriers. we are all the same and we all seek joy; the main reason many of us, including me, come back to these videos is not solely for the cooking; there are so many cooking videos on here, but some you can only watch one or two in a series. the reason we come back here is his effortless joy in what he does, and that is the most wonderful thing of all, as it lifts all our spirits.
thank you latif not only for gorgeous recipes and food, but more importantly for making us feel the warmth you have for what you do. i wanna say thank you to your mum as well (I know how important mums are in your culture) for raising a person like yourself.
GOD bless you :)
Wow. This touched my heart. ❤️
Since discovering Latif's youtube channel I have tried a lot of his recipes at home and have not been disappointed with any of them for flavour and taste, I am fortunate to have a Halal store and an Indian spice shop where I live in Carlisle so have a well stocked larder. I love the BIR meals and must admit to putting on some weight during lockdown but I would like you to know that if there was a local Bangladeshi restaurant that did home cooking I would gladly sit and wait and pay the extra cost. Keep up the good work Latif we all appreciate what you do very much.
I love this kind of entertainment, there is always more to learn. I got back into lamb chops about 3 months back and have them with mash each week, sometimes for a snack around 22:00 I will cook 2 frozen ones on the lowest heat I can for 10 mins to defrost and then whack the power up to 12. Deglazing the pan with a little butter is just wonderful and everyone needs to be doing it.
I love how you show us how to make all this stuff from scratch, I live close to Bradfords most popular curry house and all their youtube channel shows is how to use their licensed jars of stuff. Thanks for keeping it real
Whats the name of the RUclips channel pls?
The masala paste mix alone is fantastic, could be used for so many other recipes ! This one is the weekend project!

Gosh a band saw I haven't seen or operated one since I left Sainsbury's 50 years ago. Absolutely love this east meets west stuff, did a risotto adding base gravy a ladle at time, came out really nice.

Your videos are a joy to watch, they are very informative and educational.
Can you freeze the marinade you made for this recipe to use another time due to the quantity made when your recipe and instructions are followed?

It looks amazing will try
Man i love Indian and other asian food, nothing like it out there, thank you to all the good food and cultures out there, not just asians but African and European too, (ps. Americans dont have culture, dont let anyone tell you otherwise)
Absolutely tasty and impressive. It’s worth spending time and money for this recipe. Thank you so so much Latif for teaching us.
I did my nurse training with lads from mauritius, and they did the most amazing curried lamb ever, I have never yet found anything like it, the melt in your mouth lamb, potatoes that just disintegrated, an the dhal was to die for, I've tried and tried but have never managed to replicate it, I'm now a head chef myself and it's still beyond me, I am thinking that I will have to take a working holiday to Mauritius. Have you ever come across Mauritius curries before and any advice please.
Try Mauritius lamp chop bbq better than the curry
I was from Mauritius; you will find nothing, trust me and you will thank me. There lots of places in Asia that you can go to. Enjoy your holiday elsewhere my friend!
You should definitely take a trip to Mauritius. I am Mauritian myself, we don’t have the best street food per say but our food in general is amazing. The fact that most of our dishes are a mixture of Indian, Chinese, African and French flavours. Our curry is way lighter compared to Indian/Bengali or Pakistani curries but still very full of flavours.
That looks awesome 👍
Been after a decent spiced lamb dish! Cheers lads! New subscriber here
Love your cooking
My brother is top of the range bless you brother 🤲🏻
EXCELLENT Latif!!
I'd travel from LINCOLNSHIRE, where i live, with my good lady for THAT supper Latif: it looks absolutely amazing!
I always think that what the staff eat is the best.
Years ago (80's) I used to have early lunch when running my business and used to eat with the staff at a local eatery (chinese actually) before they opened for lunch, had amazing food, not generally on the menu, but great anyway, they charged me the normal lunch rate, which was great, I wouldn't have minded paying more , but they were really great: one of the wait staff I'd known since he was about 9yrs old.
Dude that was amazing! Better than Texas grill. From Dallas..
Mashalla 👌👌👌👌👌👍🇬🇧
Aww you guys are lovely MashaAllah.
Love how you don't forget to say Bismillaah x
Latif looks like a firm boss takes no messing but looks after his guys 👌
