- time laps outlining how i rebuilt my swivel hubs. i left out the kingpin grease caps and instead used a gasket maker to seal the kingpin shim so no water will enter the internals. any questions leave them in the comments
Packing Bearings 18:39
In the finally stages my axle wouldn't come out far enough. the driver side came out enough to get the cir clip on with some manipulation but the passenger side was just 0.5mm too far in so i send it and skimmed the bushing at work.

Was considering maybe doing this job myself, but way to much involved, so I’ll be leaving it in the trusty hands of a mechanic 😂. Great video 👍
Well done mate. I'm just about to do similar. Thanks for showing. peace from Poland :)
Great video, I am from Argentina, and own a Y60, same hub, I need to replace the four little bearings, those you changed in the first part of your video, i was wondering if you have the specs or serial number of those bearings, I don´t dare extracting them before knowing there are available in my country. Thanks!!
Good video! I'll be doing this exact front diff overhaul in a few weeks minus the wheel bearings are they were done recently. What prompted you to do this? My CV's are making a cracking/clicking sound when in 4wd and turning. 380k and probably the original ones so they did well
are you sure about the orientation of grease seal...? my stock bearings had it installed other way around..., double lines towards inside of bearings(facing away from the diff)...?
What's the grey stuff you where spraying on the parts?
Did you need to put the kingpin seal caps back in?
Where do you live? Need your help. I am a Sydney sider
Hey could you list all the tools you used to do this? Cheers
I don’t understand why your painting the king pins and wheel hubs before pressing in the bearings etc.
Nice work mate but you need to invest some money in more appropriate tools lol
Just noticed my front LH hub leaking, omg this is a huge job :( Anyone want a job?
I got dizzy and fell over. Slow down!
if you cant get it on machine it to fit lol so wrong
You done this wrong you didn't grease the cv joint and you didn't put the caps on for the king pin bearings
