However, when I saw the A95L on display same day, I was blown away and told myself that I had to come back and get that television to replace the Sony Bravia LED that was in my living room. When watching my A80L each day, I'm amazed at the picture quality. At one point, I even thought about getting a bigger A80L for the living room instead of the A95L. It would have saved me money. But I wanted the best for my living room and went back to Best Buy two more different occasions just to look at it. A couple of months later, when it went back on order at Best Buy, I bought the 77" inch. It is a step above in picture quality to the A80L, but the A80L is no slouch. And the sound quality in both makes it feel like there's already surround sound in the room.
@faultless18 I do love my A80L OLED, but you can tell the difference between mid-range and Master Series. The A95L OLED does stand out much more. The only way that I can explain it is that the A80L OLED does have great colors, but the colors on the A95L OLED look to be more deeper colors. Just stood out more. The A95L OLED is a better TV, but the A80L is still a great television. I'm glad I made the choice for the A80L OLED at 65" inch for the bedroom and the A95L OLED at 77" for the living room.

No one who got g4 would say oh those colours look dull. G4 processing beats Sony at its own game. I currently can get 77 g4 for 3.3k vs 5.5 for last year A95L. Sony is hilarious with pricing

I was also underwhelmed by the A95L in person despite me wanting it the most before it came out. The S90D looks promising. Love seeing the S90D next to these two flagships! I’ve had mine for over a month now, and although the out of box quality was terrible, imo, a few tweaks here and there has it absolutely singing. Best TV I’ve ever owned by a country mile. Of course the one drawback is it’s lack of DTS pass through for physical media, but besides that given the deal I got on it in comparison to how expensive the G4 and S95D are this year, you can’t beat it 👌🏻👌🏻
This idiot just plug & play right out box without any calibration I know for a fact b/c if you do calibrate the S90d it with out perform Sony & LG especially in gaming & on paper Samsung s90d & s95d out performs any LG C4 & G4 in gaming & movies if calibrated properly. In terms of sharpness, details, colors, processing and upscaling, Sony wins by leaps and bounds, the first reviews of the Bravia 9 proved that the xr processor is unbeatable and that it is not just a step forward but a leap, everyone thought that LG had managed to closer and Sony launched an updated and much better processor
The Lg G4 has processing on behind the scenes even with the settings off. Sony done this with the a95l increasing sharpness above reference and I think Lg is doing the same this year with their color and their contrast. The 3d effect comes down to contrast and sharpness. Even the detail will be effected by those parameters. Turning on contrast enhancer and increasing the sharpness on the a95l will increase the 3d effect. Even decreaseing the black level to 49 will increase the 3d effect. Also, baseline sharpness is 50 on the a95l, i use 60 on my 77 inch, however lowering the sharpness too much will lower the detail and 3d effect. Edit: I dont recall if contrast enhancer is available in game mode, peak luminance low will offer a contrast boost in its stead. Also I prefer to keep tv sharpness constant and adjust game sharpening to taste.
I'm viewing this on a 77" OLED and this video actually shows the S90D being much more detailed than the G4. At time 23:23 on the G4, look at his right shoulder pad under the axe and also the chains on his forearm, the carved fine details are blurry, soft, and hard to make out, but moving to S90D at time 23:43, the details on the axe, the carved details on the shoulder pad, as well as the chain around his forearm are all much sharper, much more detailed and pronounced.
I completely agree with you. Yes, QD-OLED does have amazing colors. However, LG oleds have that 3d effect and clarity that you just can't let go of once you are used to it.
LG G4 is also extremely hot. I returned it because it made my living room into a heater. Going to be buying a S90D because I couldnt do the matte finish of the S95D
@@pablozapata9694main folks who got it as complaining about the heat and you are not the only one,it could ba a hardware issue at this point and nothing can be done to fix it with software.
Put my G3 next to my G4. Turning up the sharpness to about 20 on the G3 exactly matches the G4 sharpness and clarity. LG just raised neutral sharpness for the G4, something that Sony has done for years. I also put my A90J and A80J next to them, all look the same at different sharpness settings. People go nuts over “processing” but I’m telling you it’s just how they calibrate OOTB sharpness settings.
@@redshine06 they look exactly the same if you keep sharpness on the g3 around 20-25 (keep mine at 23 to avoid artifacts) so no point in spending the extra money IMO
@@redshine06 I own a 65 and 77 G3 and recently got a 55" G4 for my pc gaming monitor. Unless the 144hz, small gains in processing and brightness are important to you I would say they are pretty similar. Depending on how much cheaper you can get a G3 it will get you pretty close.
@@FadeToBlack2181 well they offer me an open box g3 at Best Buy which was a demo for 1900. So I was on the fence. But I mean seems like u guys are convincing me.
@rohanwardan8184 Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I personally like DTM FOR MORE PUNCH although it sometimes blows sout larger highlights. But if your gunna keep it in hgig just go woth the g3 if you prefer an LG oled tv. Cause it looks identical and the fine details are close enough. Just a personal opinion
U mentioned the G3 is pretty much close or the same to the g4 not in game mode. If I’m not a gamer would u say the g3 is equal to the g4 and would u recommend someone like me buying it over the g4? Or is the g4 a big upgrade still
@redshine06. Hey, thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Yes, I don't see any perceived differences outside of game mode. I think if not mistaken, the g4 only measures about 100 nits brighter over the g3 in 4k hdr. And I believe again if I'm not mistaken that outside of game mode, the g3 actually has a very small percentage better color gamut in dci and bt 2020 too. So if I were not a gamer, I would most likely and personally go with the g3. But if you want the newer ai features, new tone mapping customization settings, and the small percentage better fine details because of the new A11 processor, then you would obviously have to go with the g4.
Can anyone who has actually owned a WOLED and a QD-OLED that are EQUALLY as bright as each other in terms of luminance please tell me if the difference in colour is actually all that significant and noticeable?
@gordyonfreeman5958. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I think it's definitely noticeable. But certain colors look more noticeable then others when comparing. Like reds and blues.
This video save me some money I was going to get A95L but now am getting the S90D 77 black friday because I love Color more, thank you bro add a best buy link under it for when am ready 🎉
@X4Piper Yo please tell me more about the motion. I remember seeing the demo reel in Best Buy of bikers riding across the screen and the processing just fell apart trying to display the spinning spokes
If I looked at a Samsung instead of a Sony or LG, how would my Dolby Vision 4K Blu-Rays be processed? Is HDR 10+ as good as Dolby Vision or aren't they at all compatible? I replaced my Blu-Ray player (from x800 to x800M2) for the DV capability and my Denon receiver is already equipped. Do I need a DV-capable TV to get the best picture?? Just want to get the best I can all things considered (with apologies to NPR).
@garyausten5939. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I think for the most part your tv will default to hdr10 not hdr10+. That is of course pending your dvd 4k player supports it. Meaning that if your dvd player does support hdr10+ , then it may very well default to that. I would go to your dvd settings and see how it's defaulted and or if you can switch it if it's not.
@@consumerreview2k I just looked up the specs on BB and read through parts of the manual. From what I gather, the X800M2s HD format is HDR10 and outputs Deep Color info, but I guess it just passes through Dolby Vision when it's present to a compatible TV. Watching various movies or Y-T videos, my TV has either displayed "Filmmaker Mode", "HDR", or "HLG HDR". I'm thinking this has mostly to do with my TV (50" side-lit LG QNED) rather than anything to do with the player. In your opinion Is BRAVIA mode worth it (using a Sony TV) or is it more of a gimmick?
@garyausten5939 you should be able to go into your dvd settings and see what hdr formats your dvd player supports. And depending on which dvd player you own, you should be able to turn off dolby vision if you want it to default to hdr10 or 10 + to pass through by default.

Many thanks for any advice..
@Odank. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I have never tried that before sorry. But I'm assuming that it may possibly look over sharpened and to artificial for my personal opinion if it was set that way. Seems pretty high for my personal preference.
@@consumerreview2k The reason I ask is that Sony Oled's sharpening limit is 60 (there is a huge difference @ 60) where as lowering the default sharpness while enabling a little Reality Creation is a much more natural way of creating a nice effect. The pop of the G4 is most probably native sharpening with micro contrast enhancement that is always on.
@@OdankMy a95l settings are sharpness 60, reality creation auto, and contrast enhancer set to low or medium...these settings give a good 3d effect, if it seems too artificial lower the sharpness to 50-55 however I found 40 to be too low.
Will get my G4 next week. All 3 are good TVs. But certainly not a Samsung, matte finish and the black box. I always hang my TV on the wall. I already have enough equipment in my TV cabinet.Traded in my G2.
Okay so this is interesting… because I honestly believe QDOLED is superior and next gen. It’s truly the best all rounder, because you’ll get super close to a95l and 95d for way lower of a price. At 77 inches, if you make sure you get a QD OLED panel, phenomenal purchase and tv, sad there is no Dolby vision. But I’m considering it over the c4, which can now hit almost 1110 nits in cinema home DV. So decisions decisions…the G5 will have no choice but up their game somehow or buy panels from Samsung.

@trapt29. Hey, thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Means allot. LG looks very good to me this year in terms of that clarity, for sure. To me, it's a well noticeable.
I have a g3 and it is a very good TV, for me it has some flaws such as the game mode, but I am happy, I don't think I will change it for this year's ones, but I will wait to see the 2025 ones, which will be much superior.
Hi man, what is your lg g4 clarity settings? On my LG C2, I set input to game console, so that I could use more features. I turned off allm, vrr, the reason behind this, is that with these turned off, processing features like clarity work better. Input lag is okay, good enough for story driven games. In addition, I use cinema picture mode and Ai picture pro turned on, it upscales low res textures But ai picture pro is tied to sharpness, without it, it won’t work. Also I use super resolution medium and sharpness 28. Ai picture pro work when sharpness is set to 25 or over, same with super resolution. I am using this because, when playing in performance mode resolution suffers and this workaround helps with upscaling. But I want to compare. I would really appreciate for your settings, thank you👍🏻
Good video. All of these sets look good but I have no interest. I will be upgrading to 100 inch this year. After I got my TCL 98 inch its so much better gaming with immersion. Keep up the good work!

Is The G4 The TV (In Your Opinion ???) THE GO TO TV OF 2024????
According to calibrators the extra detail on LG comes from undefeatable sharpness setting. But it does very well with highlights placement.
@@MariaJose-nv3tj no one mentioned Sony sir. Im a Sony fan and owner myself but Lg is better at upscaling then Samsung
How do i get vivid like colors and brightness in game mode on my lg g4 77" ?? Just mounted my tv on Saturday. Coming from a 65" C2

@westibbs can I ask u if u think the G4 is worth it over the G3. I am on the verge of getting a g3 but sometimes I think it’s best to just get the 4.
@@redshine06 they look exactly the same if you keep sharpness on the g3 around 20-25 (keep mine at 23 to avoid artifacts) so no point in spending the extra money IMO
Have you tested it playing the same scenes in different movies/shows?
There has to be some difference between the two
@@redshine06 I own a 65 and 77 G3 and recently got a 55" G4 for my pc gaming monitor. Unless the 144hz, small gains in processing and brightness are important to you I would say they are pretty similar. Depending on how much cheaper you can get a G3 it will get you pretty close.

I too, like you, always play with the settings! Which of these three has the best motion processing in high/soap opera effect?
Can I ask you, what is the G4 like with watching blu rays 1080p? Still the '3d look?'
@@consumerreview2k thank you for the reply! It’s always hard to chose especially since we always want to spend money wisely. The TVs ain’t cheap. lol

Yes, that is the first part of the scene that I noticed. I'm using a 55" G4 as my pc gaming monitor. It is a beast!
Do you have G4 settings you can share for your Gaming mode?
Are you planning to do a video of your settings for your G4?

If you have the Sony on sharpness 40 and Reality Creation on 2-5 - is the Sony now closer in effect to the G4?

Hi man, what is your lg g4 clarity settings? On my LG C2, I set input to game console, so that I could use more features. I turned off allm, vrr, the reason behind this, is that with these turned off, processing features like clarity work better. Input lag is okay, good enough for story driven games.
In addition, I use cinema picture mode and Ai picture pro turned on, it upscales low res textures
But ai picture pro is tied to sharpness, without it, it won’t work.
