Great interview... The Three Eastern Councils have done a great job, albeit AC charging prices have been increasing (Council chargefox network 40c, Intellihub Exploren 50c and Jolt Free then 49c) which lowers the utility as a driver, particularly once you include cable cost. But theyve together done a much better job than City of Sydney
If that’s a long range Tesla with lithium ion battery then charging to 100% will shorten the life of the battery. You should only charge to 80% and top up along the way. Only charge to 100% if there are no chargers to top up on the way. I learnt this lesson with my first Tesla model 3 performance. Battery degradation after 4 years was starting to bite. My model Y performance has never been charged above 80% and I’ve driven from Melbourne to 100km north of Dingo in QLD with it.
@@peterwundersitz3715yes that’s the correct practice for an LFP battery but not an NMC battery. The standard teslas have LFP batteries while the long range and performance teslas have NMC batteries. NMC shouldn’t be charged above 80% too often. I’ve never charged mine above 80% and usually keep it between 40% and 60% which extends the life the most. Between 40 and 60 or 20% is about 100km which is more than I drive per day so it’s easy to stick between 40 and 60. I also usually charge during the day (I’m retired) and I’m with Amber Electric so it doesn’t cost me anything.
Doesn't Wentworth electorate have public parking restrictions to between business hours, so residents can park in front of their houses like we do in Melbourne (I'd like to show a picture of what I mean, but youtube doesn't allow for that)? If not, they should look into doing that.
Awesome video; great to have an MP weigh in with lived experience 😊
Always great to hear from our local MP, especially when she's driving an EV with @electrifythis - how could you not enjoy it.
Thanks @AmazingEV x
Oh gosh how excellent. I volunteered on Allegra’s 6 month campaign in 2022. A great social and political representative and an excellent interview.
Thank you! She’s such a delightful person. Made the whole process and joy.

We love this at Chargefox!
Would be interesting to know the EV ownership figures between the major parties and independents 😊
Me too. I plan to find out.
Love your Video, Keep up the good work.
Thank you!

My new model Y says; charge to 100 once a week.,,,,I don't know from what though. I get down to 60 generally.

"They're not free, that wouldn't be an appropriate use of taxpayer funds"
...Actually nah hard disagree.
