- In a midair collision scenario, assigning responsibility can be tricky-but in the case of the September 25, 1978 collision, it was clearly on Pacific Southwest Airlines 182 to avoid the smaller Cessna plane that was ‘staring them in the face’ plane-so why didn’t they?

We don’t know what was spoken inside the Cessna aircraft as there is no voice recorders in light airplanes. We only know what was transmitted via radio as ATC communications are recorded.
It was so sad at 2:34 when the captain said "mom I love ya".

Mayday as well as Air Disasters are executed so perfectly in terms of recreation, animation, and aviation science accuracy. They truly deserve Emmy and golden globes for these series.
Mayday and Air Disasters are the same show. They are called different names in different regions.
@@TorchRBXand different narrator accents
To be honest, in different episodes you can find a bunch of inaccurations, i remember once they were filming episode about Boeing 727 in DC-9 cockpit.
The pilot of the 727 last words were pretty emotional like he said "i love you mom"
That was the first officer
I like how the plane was still smiling when all of that was happening
Video: (Two planes collided, and crash and burn)
Smithsonian: It's brighter here.

what do we got here” pilots were pretty cool, even after they had been hit and falling from sky. I think they are very brave 😮
Most pilots are trained to be calm under pressure even during a disaster
@@joetamburello6292 👍 until the disaster is done.
@@alawagedagoa well they don’t have to worry about panicking at that point
@@joetamburello6292 , panicking is one thing but being chilling cool is another 😊
@@alawagedagoa ok…
I remember this one. I think the Cessna was told to go around and turned the wrong way.

Gotta love these aircrash videos
That traffic controller ,he knew he gone😢
Flight 182 impacted about 4 miles from where I was standing. The thunderous boom shook the ground.
Why are these videos so addictive?
Person talking in the background has the voice of god
What about people onboard and on ground
This is so sad, he thought of his mom 😢
My dad was in middle school when this happened, and one day he was at school while this happened. He told me for a few seconds he saw the plane on fire going down. After that said he there was a ton of paper and things that fell to the ground from the plane
Cause: Mid-air collision resulting from pilot error on the Boeing 727 and ATC error
“ma i love you” this words will be passed downed by generations
"Traffic 1 mile, Cessna"
Bruh at that point there's not much they would be able to do with that small a distance and that fast a rate of closure...
Yeah I wouldn't think these planes could even fly less than 200 mph, so you would be a mile ahead in less than 20 seconds and those airliners aren't the most evasive planes
We are sorry for that ma I love you 😢😢
I applaud Hans Wendt for being able to photograph the damage of the Boeing 727 shortly after the collision and before it crashed and was destroyed.
The fact he said “incredible”
What episode is this? Season and episode number

I like Psa flight 182 I always whatch every day
The cause of this accident was the pilot adjusting his seat i think also Off topic but they should really do a video like this but for the 727 Angola disappearance
excuse me for my lack of knowledge, but how would a pilot adjusting his seat cause a mid-air collision?
@@popsicIes well the field of vision will reduced but I'm not sure what happened but that's my guess
@@popsicIes so the pilots of PSA 182 was supposed to keep visual separation with the cessna, they lost sight of it while doing other cockpit tasks and didn't communicate it to the tower. They assumed that the cessna already passed them. Meanwhile, the cessna pilot changed heading for unknown reasons and then both jets collided

Yes sir I read about that. I read also PSA had people sent to hotel where the PSA employees had party the night before, to get rid of empty bottles of alcohol before the cleaners came to clean the hotel rooms where they stayed at.Alot of PSA employees were on that flight.
