They just had an insurmountable performance advantage through cheating. All athletes train hard and do the same work across the world steroids or not bu the steroid users simply have unmatchable physical ability from cheating. Steroids in women are unbeatable, a 3-4% performance boost, a level which is simply unattainable for an athlete competing without steroids. Almost 40 years later and current legendary female athletes can't threaten these records despite all the technological, nutritional, sports science and training advancements
