Good lord
That's Disney for ya 😂
i will say that game 7 was probably sean’s best stint in the booth for hockey yet, but as the great captain price said “that was an improvement, but it’s not hard to improve on garbage.”

I'd rather wait another decade then watch the current oilers fan base win a cup.
The Panthers in this series became the equivalent of the 2023 Miami Heat.
Rattle off 3 quick wins, momentum completely in their favor, then they forget how to hockey for 3 consecutive games, then they finally remember and finish their opponent off in an electric Game 7.
It's just what makes playoff hockey great.
And both are Miami area teams. Safe to say that fans living in the Miami area have had more than their fair share of heart attacks over the past two years.
@@thekingbarrelmaker7642 Well the Florida Panthers reside in Broward, not Miami-Dade, so it's more like a Ft. Lauderdale thing instead of Miami. But for South Florida, yeah it was definitely a time to celebrate. There's a famous little intersection in the suburbs of Miami, Galloway Ave and Bird Rd, which was notorious for having many Miami Heat fans flood the streets there when the Heat won the championship some years ago. Gotta give it to them. Tampa isn’t the only team with a Stanley Cup in the Sunshine State anymore. It pains me to say it, but as a hockey fan, I have to tip my hat to them. They deserved it.
ESPN fucked up A LOT on the NHL postseason, I’m ready for NBC to come back and give us the real hockey playoff watching experience
They don't call us cardiac cats for nothing! Lol shout out to the oilers for making this a seriously compelling series. To go from nowhere to th finals is impressive. I expect good things out of that club. However, TONIGHT WAS OUR NIGHT BABY GO CATS
Shout out to Luongo, although he never had the chance to get it as a player, safe to say he has his closure with his name etched in Stanley Silver now.
I mean, he had *a* chance to win it as a player, and he was one of the main reasons his team failed that year. (Seriously, over a decade later and I can still barely comprehend the clusterfuck that was the 2011 Finals)
But yes, it's about time he finally got his name on the Cup.
@@BAMFshee he wasn't one of the main reasons.
How many goals can a team score in a 7 game series and reasonably expect to win? How can a team score 0 goals in game 7 and the goalie still be at fault?
@@cousinpatsey2471 If Luongo hadn't been an absolute sieve for half the series, the Canucks would have won it in 5. He got pulled less than halfway through the first period in Game 6 (after giving up 4 goals in less than 9 minutes), and gave up a combined 12 goals in Games 3 and 4! The Canucks finished that series with a GAA of just short of 3.5 (and that's with *two* shutouts!), almost all of which happened while he was in net.
Yes, Vancouver's offense also laid a massive egg in that series, but you can't excuse a goalie being *that* unreliable in the clutch (even if he was a stud for the other half of the series). I'm not blaming their loss that year *exclusively* on Luongo, but he was definitely a big part of it. When your offense needs to score an average of nearly *four* goals a game just to come out ahead, how could he not be?
@BAMFshee because across the 4 games they lost, they scored a combined 3 goals for his support.
Even assuming, for whatever deranged reason, all of these goals were reasonable to blame the goalie for, the simple fact of the matter is two of those games were unwinnable, one required a shutout to win, and the other he could give up 1 goal and win. That's not the goalies fault.
Luongo choking in the finals is a grossly over told story, that only has traction because casual fans wanted a scape goat, and the goalie is the easiest one to blame. Vancouver doesn't win that series if he "stops being a sieve"; they lose that series faster if he isn't playing great. Boston outplayed them offensively too much to blame the goalie.
As Florida allowed the series to go to 7 I was kinda disappointed/disgusted with how they were playing, thinking they didn't deserve to win, I was pulling for Edmonton last night, but I'm proud of Florida, good job guys, despite how much harder you made it than it probably needed to be, you earned it and you deserve it
I'm just going to take a moment to reflect on how utterly devastating 28-3 has become as the defining choke job in modern sports history. Conglatruations, Falcons!
