As a diehard VGK fan that had our taste of the cup last year, I hope the panthers can bring it home this year. Such a special team! I'm rooting for you guys all the way! Best of luck!
I’ve been a panthers fan for a little over 10 years I’ve gone from getting mad at relocation rumors to now watching my team play for Lord Stanley’s mug for the second consecutive season. If the cats lift the cup this year it will mean so much for us that stuck with the team through the dark times LET’S GO PANTHERS
The first sporting event I ever went to was a panthers game with my dad as an 8 year old in 1996. I'm now a father of three and I appreciate my son's got to witness them win the cup with me, something I never got to do with my dad. He's definitely celebrating in the great beyond though! Let's go Cats!
I was at the very First game at the old Miami arena. 2 to 1 penguins, One goal scored by Marty Straka (wonder why I Remember such s thing). I got the ticket Just a couple of days before. I've bene thru thin and thick, mostly thin, but the journey has been Amazing. Thx mr. Viola, thx mr. Zito, thx mr. Maurice. You have no idea what this means to a lot of us
I grew up in Miami and was in love with hockey growing up. I went to several games as a kid in the 90's, until we moved up North. I used to go to a ton of minor league games and went to a few Flyers games, but always loved the Panthers. I think this is our year. Game 1 was sensational for Sergei Bobrovsky. We need just 3 more!!
Been a far away Panther fan since 2004. I've followed them more closely the last 7 or so years, ever since drafting Ekblad pretty much. I love what they've done, taking each step and putting the pieces together, especially under Bill Zito. Hiring Paul Maurice was genuis. He seem to suit this team of players so well. His pressers are awesome to listen to. I love where this franchise is going and I hope they can get past Edmonton. 2 games won, 2 to go!!! Cheers from Malmö, Sweden.
I was there first exhibition and first game Got there in the 2nd period(we were late) man I've gone through so much pain over the years but I'm glad I stuck it out
If the Panthers do win it this year, it'll be extremely well deserved! As someone who grew up in the NYC metro of the late 70s and early 80s, the Panthers remind me of the NY Islanders. They have all the pieces to become a dynasty. Go Cats!!!!!!!
Funny you should say that. I grew up in Miami in the 70s and early 80s, watching "Hockey Night in Canada" on Channel 2 (PBS). The Islanders became my team going back to when they came back from being down 3-0 to the Penguins in 1975. Then came a number of tough playoff losses to teams like the Canadiens, Maple Leafs and the Rangers before embarking on their dynasty. Man, I can still recite almost the entirety of that roster. Getting back to your comment, I totally agree that the Panthers have the potential to be at the top, or very close to the top, for a number of years. This provided injuries respect the team and they can keep their current nucleus together.

Am I crazy or did you completely miss the sale of the Panthers to the Violas. The ownership of the Violas is what turned the team around. I worked there. One step at a time, one division at a time, the Violas completely changed how the organization was run both from the team to the arena to the community involvement. They brought in Zito. The Violas were a pivotal change and impact to the team, fanbase and community. Even the new facility downtown helped revitalize Fort Lauderdale too. Tell you what. The previous season starts the story of "We Want Florida". The Cats being a runner-up in the previous season didn't end that story. The continuation makes it a turning point of their story as they make the finals again. If they win, even if they sweep the Oilers, the story ends with a happy ending after they won their first Stanley Cup.
This is a good video, but wouldn't it have been a good idea to wait until the finals are over before releasing it? I get that people are looking up videos on Panthers now, but years from now this end for the video is gonna look really odd
with their success over the last three seasons, there's no longer any concern for that. Amerant Bank has sold out every home game for two straight years now and have more than doubled their corporate sponsorships while tripling the prices of tickets over that same period. And still sell out every home game, so they're fine.
They just moved into a brand new practice facility and their lease at Amerant runs until 2028. With the recent success the team has had, they’ve had no problems selling out Amerant Bank arena and aren’t being plagued by attendance issues. They’re here for the long haul.

While police were en route to that restaurant, first responders got a call about a woman behaving in a similar fashion at an Outback Steakhouse just down the road.
Man we were a laughing stock for so many years
A stanley cup would be huge for this team
literally if you piss away game 7...Panthers become Steve Bartman....the whole team...just 23 Steve Bartman's and the GM and coach...25 Steve Bartman's...and the towel guy...don't even touch me with those loser towels
The Lighting are still the king of hockey in FL......come see us when you win a couple more cups.....honestly glad to see the Panthers get better as the rivalry between Panthers/Bolts is exciting now (lets be honest, it was a one sided rivalry up to this year)

out of 32 teams in the NHL
Florida loses the most money for the league
So...the franchise LOSING the most money DOES not deserve a cup.
They will relocate eventually.
They bled 152 million in the past decade...it is UNSUSTAINABLE..
Tampa lost 74.4 million and made the finals 3 times...Florida is one of the worst hockey markets on the planet. And by far the worst market in the NHL (in terms of generating revenue)
@@sampicano lol 😂 nope
Am I crazy or did you completely miss the sale of the Panthers to the Violas. The ownership of the Violas is what turned the team around. I worked there. One step at a time, one division at a time, the Violas completely changed how the organization was run both from the team to the arena to the community involvement. They brought in Zito. The Violas were a pivotal change and impact to the team, fanbase and community. Even the new facility downtown helped revitalize Fort Lauderdale too. How can you do this whole video and leave them out?! And also not really discuss the current season which will most likely produce the Cup! I would love to see this whole history of the Panthers redone and done more thoroughly.
I AM CRAZY...and he conveniently failed to mention....
The NHL teams that lost the most money over the past decade (2012-2021):
-$152,900,000 = Florida Panthers (Miami - 6,183,199)
-$141,600,000 = Arizona Coyotes (Phoenix - 4,845,832)
-$108,800,000 = Carolina Hurricanes (Raleigh-Durham - 1,509,231)
-$83,500,000 = Anaheim Ducks (Los Angeles-Anaheim - 12,799,100)

-$74,400,000 = Tampa Lightning (Tampa-Saint Petersburg - 3,342,963)
-$59,900,000 = Buffalo Sabres (Buffalo - 1,155,604)
-$130,000,000 = Atlanta Thrashers (Atlanta - 6,307,261) [Atlanta lost $130 million in 5 years from 2005 to 2010]
Number 1 - Florida Panthers....
Fun Fact:
Tampa won TWO cups and made the finals within that span and still managed to LOSE $74.4 MILLION USD.....
Yay Florida hockey, I can't think of a less deserving state.
Arizona. Nevermind.
Georgia. Nevermind again.
2 games away from the Glory!

Bro, u cant talk about panthers history without talking barkovs drafting and development
Hopefully this saves the panthers from relocation.
with their success over the last three seasons, there's no longer any concern for that.
