I agree on the track alignment. I did about 5 events on stock alignment and then switched to -2.5 F / -1.5 R and it feels much better and really no negative effects. I normally start in sport 1 for warm up now and then go to race once I am familiar with the track and the tires are warm. Awesome videos man, that course looks really fun!
Yup bro that's exactly the way to do it. Those tires need to warm up, once they are doing that gripping thing then full off t/c works the best. Appreciate you watching man!

Did you have any issues with the helmet touching the roof? I am on the fence about a sunroof because I'm worried about the top of my helmet hitting the roof liner, me being ~6' - 6'1". Was curious to see what your experience was?
Good question really. No issues in the non sunroof. With the sunroof i ran into scenarios where i would fit fine but i had to be in a specifically dialed in seat position that worked. You can save the seat position and just have it auto set when your ready to track. But since it was so specific i went with no sunroof on my ZL1. I rarely used the sunroof tbh and when i did it always put the sun in my eyes.

Yup thats the way to do it! I had a friend i met on the track and he let me test fit myself in his car with the sunroof haha
Where is this event at? I’ve been doing the Adams Motorsports park in riverside. Pretty fun but not forgiving if you go off track.
This was at Fontana raceway but they since moved to Anaheim stadium. I dont really suggest the event organizer though as they randomly have 30 teslas show up and push back everyone's day for hours to prioritize them. It was corner exit. When the teslas show you get about 8 minutes of driving in a 8 hour day lol

23 SS1LE here and I only see tire temp on readout and not PSI amount. Bone stock.
how you learn how to read the cones??
We walk the track a few times before. It makes since when your in it, good to ride with someone before or just go through the course at a slower pace. Its not all that bad I thought I would be completely lost lol but wasn't at all. When you see a cone laying down with one standing in front of it, (like this: ^< ) that means stay at the inside of this.

@@pontiaco it's just in the steering settings. You have to make the switch next to the shifter only change your suspension.

Hold the traction control button down for about 10 seconds, turn off all the grannies. The car will be much faster.
I second this. I always go race with everything off. The car boggs when you push it hard enough without turning Everything off.
I run PTM on race. It’s no slower if driven right.
‘19 SS1LE, ‘18 ZLE, ’21 ZL1, I have never appreciated any intervention ever so I shut it all off every time I get in regardless if I’m going to the grocery store or the track.

Despite popular belief, the color of your car doesn't affect your insurance rates.
@@Hot-1LE thanks my parents have always told me colors like red blue and yellow made the prices go up but now I feel more confident getting mine in red instead of white lol
@@sixto7217 haha yeah man old time myth. I got a buddy that does auto insurance and he as well can confirm it wont affect anything. Your driving record, years driving and the cost of the car, and the area you live is the driving factors. Get it as BRIGHT as you like brother!
