      @@Nikparmer I do not but maybe one day I’ll make one 😂. Put the clutch in, first gear. Rev up the engine to 3k rpm’s. Dump the clutch and put your left foot with decent pressure on the brakes and full throttle on the gas and you should be good!

    Great video. You’re a natural. I had a 5th Gen 2SS1LE 6M, now a 2020 2SS1LE 6M for a couple of months, with a 3 year gap between them. I forgot the sequences and the control locations from days in the 2015, so you just kept me from having to read the manual. Thanks! 6th Gen feels more refined and easy to use to me than the 5th Gen, but I’m a geezer! You can teach an old dog new tricks, haha!

    good lord, i had a 2018 1SS 1LE for 3 years and i never knew about the no lift shift. with that feature why would you even consider an automatic?? you get the glorious sound of the rev matching downshifts with the 6 speed along with automatic like shifts of an automatic…. best of both worlds

    I'm not sure if you've noticed, but throttle response is different in all modes. Sport Mode is more aggressive, Track Mode is more lineal, and Touring Mode is... "normal" I guess. And yes, I agree... no one uses the "Snow/Ice" mode.

    I have no lift shift on my 2009 Cobalt SS it is pretty cool my lunch control is not so good I will spin the crap out of my wheels if I'm not carful. informative video brother! I want an SS 1LE bad but a 2018 or 2019 year I love those body types.

    I have a 2022 Camaro ss 6 speed. Does mine also have all these options? I was not able to get some of the options that you did to pop up on my own car on the dash.

    For the no lift shift do I have to be in a certain mode? and would it possibly harm my transmission if I do it? Some say it does, others say it doesn't so im not too sure...any help would be much appreciated!

      So you can do it in any mode as long as you keep your foot buried into the throttle above 5,000rpm. At 5k it engages no lift shift. In my experience it hasn’t done any harm. I’ve been doing it since new and now have 10k mikes on it.

    The book says that in Sport 2 that both TC and ESC are both off. Sport 1 has TC off but ESC on. I'm curious what you said about the nannies still being there in Sport 2.

    Do you get more power by taking the ETC off? Lets say in a roll race at 50 would this help by having it off...

      Yes, because basically what TC and ETC does is that it apply brakes to the wheel that is braking loose, so it will slow the car down every time it loses grip. Is not that it gives more power but it doesn´t apply the brakes.

      @@sissymarylen15741a you can turn everything off by holding the tc button for about 5 seconds. First tc will disable and then stability.

    So I'm trying this on my 2020 2ss 1le 6 speed manual. I do all the steps but it doesn't sit at 3.5k rpm. It just revs to red line.

      Clutch fully engaged on the floor? First gear and full throttle? Competitive mode on in sport or track? It should engage launch control.

    How to you get to that active handling screen? Is that only for manual transmissions or does the autos have that screen too? Not sure if maybe I missed that

      Automatics do it as well! Go into track mode and double click the traction control button twice.

Just to make sure what I’m trying to find is the dry sport 1 sport 2 and race screen that I cannot seem to get into but just to make sure I have a 2018 1SS automatic…. That screen should come up with this model??

      @@Shipchasers when you double click slowly. It will bring you into competitive mode, and then from there you can use the selector up and down to chose between the settings.

      With 1300 miles so far and was debating in installing one or not , didn't really wanted to mess up the warranty.

      @@ptown19929734 you’ll be fine on warranty for a catch can. Has nothing to do with the drivetrain. Easy to remove if anything.

      No problem. I sell cars for a living. This car isn’t too expensive to afford l. I also bought this car during covid, fully loaded for price of 42k. My payment is 660 a month. It’s cheaper than most mom cross over now a days. They are a lot more expensive these days. If you can try and get a deal in the used market.

      @@StirlingMossDrives thanks man, everything here in miami is really expensive so i cant find any with monthly payments between 540-800 here, used. New from the dealer they go upwards of 50k, and you can find them used for mid to high 40’s. Used zl1 1le’s cost about the same for some reason so im thinking about just skipping straight to one of those. Had a 750whp mustang so i dont think it should be too hard to handle lol

      Does your car have track mode? Double click the tc off button twice to enter competitive mode in either sport or track mode. If it goes into competitive mode then your car should do the same as mine I believe.

      @@erickdj2009 So you go to track mode with the mode selector and then you enter competitive mode by clicking the tc off button twice. Once competitive mode is active you then use the mode selector to toggle between tc settings: wet, dry, sport 1, sport 2, race.

      No lift shift works any time. Just make sure you’re above 5k rpm and gas fully depressed.

      Pretty sure it is, leave active rev match on to be safe. But it has always worked for me dependent of mode.

    Is this your daily driver? Any issues with splitter scraping?

      Not my daily, only had one scrape with the front splitter in 10k miles. It was a stupid mistake. Clears mostly everything.

      Ease off but be fast enough so you don’t burn the clutch. Faster than anything tho, if you go too fast you’ll prob bog down but since it’s launch control the computer will prob sort it out.

    Hey so tried the competitive mode but I can't figure out how to get the menu to go into wet or the dry mode, that window. How do you do that? I can't see how you scroll?

      In the 6th gen you have to be in track mode to get the traction settings. Go to track mode then double click the traction button twice to get into competitive mode, then you the mode selector to chose between the traction settings.

      Not on a manual SS. But auto you can. I believe a manual zl1 can adjust the rpm.

      @@XimeplaysVR Thank you, there is no gas on down shifting. When Rev match is on just down shift normally and the computers will apply the throttle for you.

    Ive been watching so many Camaro videos and getting super hyped on potential buy next wk as Im waiting to hear back from dealership on a 1 SS......forgot to add.....I rented 1ss during my vacation a month ago and didnt know about the paddles til I saw this video so chances are I was doing 130mph on tour mode lmaooo....did anyone here get emo when they hand over the keys? lol.
