- 2022 Camaro SS 1LE - NASA SE SANTA'S TOY RUN 02-03 December 2023
315/30/18 Square Hoosier A7, Hawk 60 F/R brake pads, SRF Brake Fluid, Camber Plates -3.1 - 1/32 F, -2.4 R + 1/32 R, SPL Semi Trailing Arms Rear, BMR toe rod, no engine modifications, stock power.
Fun rainy weekend, car needs stiffer suspension to run Hoosier A7's, tires are rubbing the outside on the front fenders and on the inside somewhere (yet to be determined). The higher G's sustained by the Hoosier A7's make the car lean too much. Need to find a solution.
TT3 1st place Saturday
Best time Saturday was a 1:36.059 but the track was still wet from rain all day. Bridgestone RE71RS 295/35/18 on Saturday.
Sunday was a no points day but the rain finally stopped so this lap came from my Sunday session. Official transponder time was 1:33.061, AIM2Solo read 1:33.11.
NASA runs their last event of the season as double points on saturday and no points on sunday.
A lot better driving than I expected coming in. NICE.
That thing sounds fucking amazing through the shifts 😩😩😩😩
Low 90s" thru turn one..
I'm impressed !! Great lap..
Wow man that’s crazy! Congrats on the stock power 1LE record
Ty, I saw you're selling the thunder roadster. Moving to something else I hope?
@@SpyderRacing yeah actually going back to drag racing. I’ll still be out at some nasa events though with my dads C5
I see that you are using the no lift shift 👍 awesome driving
Amazing, thanks for sharing that.
Thanks for watching! Roebling next in January with A7's to see what it can do.
Awesome Lap!
Great results. For the stiffer suspension and car leaning too much, I run stiffer sway bars and am looking at getting MCS 2-way remove coil overs from Vorshlag.
I'm installing the ZLE multimatic DSSV suspension. Which swaybars are you using(what brand/settings)?
@@SpyderRacing I run the Hotchkis 22118 front bar and BMR SB054 rear bar with BMR adjustable end links. Lots of discussion this setup on Camro6
Im running a 1:37 based on the onboard lap timer. on sticker SC3, RBF600 fluid. kooks 2" long tube headers, dyno tuned. everything else is stock. pads, tires, etc. I get about 2-3 hot laps then the tires start to give up.
Sounds about right, Hoosier A7's are worth about 2 seconds over SC3's at this track. But yes anytime you're going for all out lap pace you can expect to set it on lap 1 or 2.

Awesome 💪🏼
Great driving! Was this a regional event?
Yes this was the last event for NASA SE
Imagine if you didn't have that Supra in front slowing you down and going off roading in front of you.
That's just draft baby. The lap you went off probably wasn't going to be faster for me. I also need more speed at the entry of 1, wasn't 100% committed in either lap.
@@SpyderRacing wait til you see my turn one on my “best” lap of if I can ever get it to upload 😂
@@Slinkii_ Rain line
@@SpyderRacing literally same min speed lmao
Nice T5. Blew my SLE up in T5 a couple of weeks ago 😢.
What are you using for audio here?
Any luck with gm warranty? my car is still going strong, about to start my 3rd year with it. I'm using a Tascam DR10L with the mic on the license plate. I think the audio clips a bit but it's ok. Probably need something with a higher dB limit
@SpyderRacing Sweet. I'll have to pick one of those up.
GM gave me white glove treatment. They picked the car up from the Road Atlanta paddock, replaced the engine and a bunch of ancillary stuff, and are shipping it back down to me in Florida at no cost. I'm impressed! Hopefully I get it back in time for the first regional TT event here at The FIRM.
I need to go back to RA and set a better lap. Would be fun to run with you - any events you recommend? JZilla had too much traffic and short run groups, so getting a clear lap was rare.
@@chuckfdanger Wow that's amazing, glad to hear. I'm doing roebling road this weekend.
I honestly think almost all groups kind of suck, you just get stuck in traffic, even if the advanced groups. I basically only run time trial at this point with NASA and I'm going to be doing Grid Life Time Attack this year as well. Advantage of TT is that you get clean track and you're usually not held up by anyone.
I think the general idea to get least traffic possible is to be in the most advanced group and start at the front of the group, control the pace on the outlap and then you can get like 3 or 4 clean laps for the most part.
But yes only those 2 orgs for me at this time, planning on doing Roebling, CMP, VIR, Road America, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, Pitt and possibly Mid Ohio this year.
Are you no lift shifting? I hear the timing blip on up shifts that sounds like it.
Yes I usually always nolift shift except from 2nd to 3rd gear. Sometimes I don't but I should. The "farting" noise you hear is the engine cutting power for the no-lift shift, happens around 58 seconds in the video and 1:09 or so.
Do you have a vid of you using paddle shifts?
I'm sorry I don't understand the question. This car doesn't have paddle shifting(its manual). I have other videos where I use a paddle shift in an M2 at roebling and a gt3 at VIR, both are on my channel.
@@SpyderRacing ok. Thanks.
