    If you are chatting with someone and you are planning to go to sleep, which one would you use? The listener is not involved with you going to sleep, but since you will stop chatting with that person, then the listener becomes somewhat involved in that regard.
    So 자러 갈 거야 or 자러 갈게?

      Great question! Happy you asked! 😀 Since ~(으)ㄹ게 indicates the listener is somehow involved in the speaker’s future actions, it’s used to inform the person you are with. 자러 갈게 sounds flexible as in ‘this is what I will do, and you are involved in my future: you can say no or let me go to bed’. On the other hand, if you say 자러 갈 거야, it becomes a declaration of your own future plan excluding the listener as if you are saying ‘I will go to bed regardless of what you say. You are not part of this decision’ 🙂 Does this make sense? Of course somebody just asked what you are going to do, and you both know that you are not doing anything together, for example on the phone, you just say 자러 갈 거야.

      @@KoreanJream Oh thanks! I think I got it. So -(으)ㄹ게 adds a nuance similar to saying "if you don't mind", right?
      Should I expect an answer when using it? Like, if someone uses -ㄹ게with me, should I reply telling them if I agree or not with their decision? Or is it fine if I don't say anything?

    문법 '지 뭐' 설명하는 영상도 만들어 주시겠어요?

    • @KoreanJream
      @KoreanJream  2 года назад +1

      네, 그럴게요! "~지"는 정말 진심으로 이야기할 때 써요. ruclips.net/video/h78ZlrGYskQ/видео.html
      그런데 "뭐..."를 같이 쓰면 조금 부드러워져요. It softens your strong commitment that is carried out in the ~지 ending.
      "...뭐." is like shrugging "whatever", "I guess".
