One of the best feelings is realizing a year ago I wouldn't have been able to follow anything in this video. It would sound like calculus. Now I just...get it! Keep studying everyone. It gets easier and will literally unlock doors to understanding everything else.
This! Couldn't agree moreeee! I wish I could tell my old self 'that it's okay'
Same!Content I tried to understand few months ago is now a piece of cake❤Consistent work and being kind to yourself is everything.Good luck everyone.앞으로 우리 함깨 열심히 공부했으면 좋겠어요🎉😊
이 형님 뭐지?! 한국인인 나보다 문법을 잘 아시네... Lol
thank you so much for these lessons, i find them extremely helpful! you are great at explaining things in a way that is easy to understand
I had to pause and stare into space for a minute because I didn't realize we do that "I go tomorrow" thing in Spanish too.
in italy we do the same thing :)
i realized that it's so much easier learning a language when you've already learnt one before
Omg…………….. i didn’t realise until now I-
Wow you are very good to explain, I am improving my english listening skills and at the same time learning korean, so I understood you very well new sub
@@ryukim5595 yes!! is White wolf, but I had to use the translator to change my nickname in korean, a bit sad :c
Same. I`m improving korean and english at the same time
Same, I'm brazilian and I don't speak english very well, but his explanation is really good, I can understand almost everything.
It's fun to revisit these livestreams (and edits) years later. I agree with one of the other commenters who said they noticed progress. It feels good to go back and realize how much you've learned, and to pick up some details you might have missed!
Something I have noticed from hearing the ~ㄹ/을게요 form for awhile is that it seems as though people are implying something like "if it's okay with you..."
For example my husband said the other day: 더 필요한 게 없으면 내가 바로 주문할게!
Does anyone else get the same kind of feeling from this grammar form?
It's not so much asking for the other person's approval, as it is "letting you know I'm going to" when you use it. But close!
@@GoBillyKorean Ahhh, yes this seems accurate!!
우와 빌리 정말 가장 좋은 선생님이에요 🙏 감사합니다
I am so happy that you made a video about this topic! I am majoring in Korean Language at university and just yesterday I had a lesson on the difference between future forms. This video was such a helpful review, thank you so much!
was how they were teaching it, difficult to understand?
Thank you for amazing content, like always!
BEST. (and i can't stress this enough) EXPLANATION. EVER.
Thank you, Billi, so much! I find the emotional explanations the best :)
Oh my gosh this is so helpful!!! I just found your channel recently, and I'm learning by myself
Thank you, I really appreciate what you do🙏
I love your lesson so much! Thank you so so much!!
Well-explained! Thank you 🙏🏼
wow you explained that amazingly. Really helped me understand the tense in all its forms. Thank you!
Your videos are so helpful! Você é um ótimo professor. Obrigada! (from Brazil)
thank you so much! your lessons are absolutely helpful 😄
this has been really useful, thank you so much ^^
love your explanation
Thank you for the great explanation
Thanks Billy
Thanks for clarifying the meaning between them!! Very useful to Korean too XDD
Billy you're the best korean 선생님!
This was super helpful, I really was struggling with getting a good overview on the future tense and honorific speech in it
this is so helpful thank you
감사합니다 💗
Thank you
I've been always confused about all these future tenses... uu but this explanation is really clear, thank you!
예약 and 예매 difference
Thanks man!
thankk you again
Finally, thank you.
What is said in the first couple of minutes is very interesting about present tense verbs. I came to this after writing a sentence and I wanted to use a plain form in my writing (because it's a journal) that might happen in the future. It seems that if a present tense verb can also mean future that I would not need to have these future forms. I could then use the present tense verbs and keep the plain style endings. Thanks for this video!
Thank u heaps!!!!!
I liked it
thxs
Hit the verb stem, don't you come back no more no more no more noo moooreee~ (No, idk why, the wy Billy pronounced it jst mde me think about that song. Thanks for the explanations!!)
이 수업을 좋아합니다,
감사합니다.
The professor looks like Jake Peralta.
I guess because they made a new season, I've heard that dozen times just this week.
I remember back when I could do and say almost everything in Korean but could NOT use the future tense lol
oh I get it now! If someone were to ask me "Who will clean the floor"? I would look at them and say 빌리가 할래요 !
You couldn't use the ~래(요) form about a 3rd person, but you could instead make a quote.
hi
Saw in another Korean language book where the family is going to a restaurant to eat. The kid turns to the waitress and said, "갈비 먹을게요".
How is the kid "doing the waitress a favor" by ordering kalbi? Thank you.
This broke my brain. And I am incredibly curious about the tater tots. lol
You should make a video on how to say "me too"
You can simply add 도 after nouns or pronouns, replacing other particles, Like 저도 = "Me Too"
저도 Is Formal
While 나도 Is Not Formal
저 Means "I" Formally
나 Also Means "I" But Not Formal...
Korean is very much similar like hindi
I am abit confused with which forms can only be used for yourself as it is briefly mentioned in 13:50 so I am not sure of which of the previous forms that applies for
You can use 래(요) for 1st or 2nd person, but not 3rd person.
So I know "먼저 갈게" is common, and I don't think it really means that you're doing it for someone else. (Although I guess it could sort of be interpreted that way? Someone has to go first. Who's going to go first? I'll do it.) Anyway, I don't have a question about that, as such. I was just wondering if you can think of other cases like this where -ㄹ게 is commonly used but doesn't exactly mean that you're doing something as a favor.
I cover this in a bit more detail in my Beginner Course here: ruclips.net/video/ier1WSrJp6w/видео.html It's also just to say you have the "will" to do something.
@@GoBillyKorean Thanks!
I think of it as "you only it as a response to someone". As a reaction to what someone did, will do, or you think they will do. It's always about the other person.
This information is fantastic. You’re great at this! However, you speak really fast. Before I can process one thought, you’ve already gone on to the next 3-4 statements. I will watch this video more than once, as I do most videos. But, you talk really fast! Thanks for sharing!
I'm not speaking fast - it's actually because this is the "Abridged" version of the live stream :D I recommend watching the unedited version, which is still on my channel in the live streams playlist.
@@GoBillyKorean Thank you. Fantastic!!! I really appreciate the reply!!!
I want to know 🤔how long you have been studying korean? You're really very much good teacher👨🏫.
Sonsaeng- nim annyeong haseo.
I just learnt this after 2 months practice😂🤣🤣🤣.
he mentioned in on eof videos. i forfot but somewhere between 2003-2007
In 2005
Wait, I thought all these while ~ㄹ게요 is the shorten form of ~ㄹ 거예요... Can I clarify this?
It's not a shortened version. As I explain in this video it has a completely different usage.
this made nooo sense to me two months ago and I can see why. It will only make sense after you stop seeing it as a grammatical point and rather seeing it being used
What are the difference between
(으)ㄹ래요?
(으)ㄹ까요?
ruclips.net/video/-eC8Q707WUQ/видео.html
Difference between ㄹ게 and 게 ending.. e.g. 않게 vs. 않을게??
I did a different live stream (and many other videos) talking about the ~게 ending, in the playlist on my channel :)
i just realized i’ve been using ~ㄹ/을 게요 with the wrong nuance this whole time. so it must have been weird every time i told my friend “저 잘게요”……
It's also used in that way too in some cases. Here's some more info about it: ruclips.net/video/ier1WSrJp6w/видео.html
@@GoBillyKorean oh cool, thanks billy!
파이 먹을거야?
네.
진짜? 내 생각해-
만져지마요! 저 내일 먹어요!
아니 얘가 뭐라는거지
칠판 보다 모자 갓이 넓다 히 히 히 good
예문: 너는 내일 안 먹을거야! 내일 굶하고 죽을거야
우리 이름이 비슷합니다
I suffer from Billy-sama handwriting sometimes
ㄹ/을 거야
This is the reference i saw. Is this the same as:
ㄹ/을 가요
을 가요 is object marker and the verb “go”(가다) in polite speech in present tense. It’s not a future tense
You speak very fast... Why u are runing 🤔🤔
This is an edited video. You can find the full version on my channel in the Live playlist :)
我個人看法覺得學韓語特別非常難因為韓語不使用漢字來表達。韓語發音特別難。
