    Hi~~ I’ve been watching and learning through your videos for one month now. I can’t deny that your lessons and the way you teach were quite effective and efficient than when I was enrolled in a Korean class last year, with three non-Korean mentors lol. I have never had this motivation to learn Korean not until I found your channel. Looking forward to more lessons! Lovelove! ♥️

    Hi Miss Vicky I really love you literally! But most of all i love the way you explain things, Please make a content explaining the difference of 있다 and 가지다, and when should we use these words. thank you and more power.

    • @KoreanwithMissVicky
      @KoreanwithMissVicky  2 года назад +1

      있다 and 가지다 both mean "to "have" and are sometimes interchangeable, but in many cases they aren't. 가지다 more means "to have something with you," whereas 있다 means to have as in, you have it but it's not something/somebody you can always carry along with you. Also, 가지다 is oftentimes used in present progressive (가지고 있다).
      e.g.
      저는 언니가 있어요 (O) - I have a sister.
      저는 언니를 가지고 있어요 (X) - (your sister isn't a portable possession.)
      저는 고양이가 있어요 (or 고양이를 키워요) - I have a cat.
      저는 고양이를 가지고 있어요 (X) - (it sounds weird to treat a pet as a portable possession.)
      연필 있어요? (O) - Do you have a pencil?
      연필 가지고 있어요? (O) - (연필 is a possession that you can carry with you.)
      제가 어제 준 책 있어요? (O) Do you have the book that I gave you yesterday?
      제가 어제 준 책 가지고 있어요? (O) (책 is a portable possession)
      가지다 can not only be used with tangible possessions, but also with intangible ones (like interest, hobbies, passion, personality etc)
      저는 한국어에 많은 관심을 가지고 있어요. (O) I have a lot of interest in Korean.
      저는 다양한 취미를 가지고 있어요 (O) I have various hobbies.
      언니는 부드러운 성격을 가지고 있어요. (O) My sister has a soft personality.

    so interesting, thank you!! I have a question regarding of this matter: Is there a pattern for future with verb+볼게요, as in, for example, 가볼게요? or are they fixed expressions?

    • @KoreanwithMissVicky
      @KoreanwithMissVicky  2 года назад +2

      가볼게요 is a combination of 가다 + 아/어보다 + ㄹ게요 :)) Verb-아/어보다 is sometimes used to soften your sentence. You can learn more about 아/어보다 auxiliary verb here : ruclips.net/video/ITsgPNEHXLo/видео.html

    • @KoreanwithMissVicky
      @KoreanwithMissVicky  Год назад

      공부+하다 can be separated and be used like 공부를 하다. Same applies to other verbs that consist of noun + 하다.
      공부하다 : to study
      공부를 하다 : to study
      공부를 열심히 하다 : to study hard
      요리하다 : to cook
      요리를 하다 : to cook
      요리를 즐겁게 하다 : to cook joyfully
