Thought they are not "sentences" I do go out (not literally) and do the video/virtual tours around Korea and do my best to read the signs as well have downloaded quite a few books to try reading comprehensions on my own... Great lesson! Now the other uses of -게 finally make sense! 드디어 ‘-게’의 많은 사용을 이해할 수 있네요! I have one question though: how are -러 , -게, -도록 different from -려면? Does connecting a sentence with -려면 just add the nuance of “IF in order to ... THEN you should...” to an imperative sentence?

My pleasure! And I don't know many books, but I personally find Korean Made Easy for Beginners by Seung-Eun Oh a good book to start with. You can also use "Korean Grammar in Use" to study the grammar specifically. TTMIK also has variety of great books you can use, especially the vocabs and expressions. But ofc the best would be to visit the bookstore and check out the books yourselves to find the ones that suit you best :)

Hello, Iva! 나가다 is considered a moving verb, so unless it's in imperative mood, you can use it with both 러 and 려고 :) May I ask which one in the quiz you mean?

Hi, great video! I had a question about 도록 and 게. Are they 100% interchangeable in every sentence where applicable, and it's more of the speaker's personality and/or choice of which one to use? Or, is it more natural in certain sentences / phrases to use one over the other? I'm sure I will discover that myself as I get more familiar with the language but I was just curious. Thank you!!

could someone elaborate for me on the differences between using -게 and -도록? I know Ms. Vicky said they're interchangeable, but after researching a bit, I found that it sounds more natural in certain sentences to use -게 over -도록 and vice versa. Sadly, I couldn't find any good explanations, so if someone could tell me some of the differences it would be really really helpful ^^

So do you have to use 도록/게 if the subject of the intention and action is different, even if it's not imperative or is a moving verb?
So taking the song lyrics 내 몸이 달아오르게 what does that mean? The English subtitles say "let my body burn up"...is that accurate? I learn a lot through song lyrics and I can't figure out how they got the English translation. The more lessons I watch and read the more confused I get. I'm still a beginner so any sort of explanation or direction would help!

Does (으)려고 same with 그러려면? Because they both means "in order to". Thank you
Ahhh I see, learners can sometimes get them mixed up, but they're different.
그러려면 is mostly used with imperative mood and verbs like V-야 되다/하다 which means should/must/have to.
For example, you can say
한국어를 잘하려면 공부를 열심히 해야 돼요. (In order to be good at Korean, you should study hard.)
일찍 일어나려면 일찍 자. (Sleep early in order to go to sleep.)
But you cannot say 한국어를 잘하려고 or 일찍 일어나려고 in these sentences, because 려고 cannot be used with imperative mood.

so 으려고 used just with the intention of the first person only.
but 으러 with both the speaker and the listener so it accept the imperative mode as an action sentence.
