The flying on the video starts soon after we have commenced the approach to Stavanger in Norway having left Manchester earlier. The dreaded message that no pilot wants to hear in an aeroplane: smoke in the cabin!
I walk through the process, starting with the Smoke Fire and Fumes QRH non-normal checklist, followed by Smoke removal checklist, then when we have no other alternative, the ditching checklist.
I used the PDMG supplied QRH non-normal checklist. These procedures are not for use in real life/ flight. Even before working commercially, I found Microsoft Flight simulator to be a great training tool.
