Every airliner, be it in a Simulator or real life, deserves a youtube channel with that much dediction and effort that you put into the 737. Its truly amazing, keep going!
You can't do that manually. Well, I suppose a mathematician could figure it out, but us pilots are simple people. Either it's in the database, or you draw a ring using the FIX page and navigate along it using HDG SEL.
Just use PBD at perhaps 10 degree intervals. You could also just fly it yourself using heading select which is really quite easy. To adjust your descent, arc lengths are usually published on charts
I must admit my vnav skills are questionable so this video is gold. Setting up the fmc and the usr waypoints usually becomes a mess and the route is ruined. That’s why I’m an armchair simmer. However practice study and practice more. Thx as always for videos they are priceless as you just carnt find this type of info easily
I really appreciate your videos and channel. You provide very pertinent information that makes my sim flights more enjoyable and realistic. Keep it up!
Wunderbar! - These tips are just that - been trying to understand why I've been struggling with Vnav path and Vnav speed and also slow descent rates. Vielen Dank.
Oh how I love these little high value tid bits. I'm gonna have to watch this one a couple more times before putting it into practice. Thanks once again for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Very helpfull tip for preparing the shortcut in case the controller give you one. I found it always difficult to prepare for this. Question: will a controller tell you to expect a shortcut when he is not vectoring you in? For example LEBL ALBE1W in to ILS24R with CLE1W as TRANS is very 🐉 One time the controller let me fly the full waypoints while there wasnt much TFC and another time he suddenly gave me a shortcut with as result that I needed to capture the GS from above... He could have at least tell me to expect an shortcut or something ... or am I wrong?
In some cases they will, in others not. Good controllers will see when you're too high for the profile they planned for you, but believe me, by far not all controllers are good ones. Especially in Spain... Don't count on em. Just don't.
Captain, when I use Vnav and set my approach altitude to catch the glide slope, the airplane barely starts to catch up with that altitude when I get to that waypoint so by the time I catch up with the altitude I missed the GS, has happened twice already, what's should I do? Baro is fine and airspeed is at 200 knots or less
I have 1 question about A320 neo. When i start the flight and i m ready to start turning on the airplane, after turning on External power and all this thing... i see that a lot of instruments are "not aviable" like the IRS display, oxigen supply display and a lot of more things. Any idea why ???
Thank you for the video. This maybe out of topic but what do I do during the direct approach with no star and the turn is too steep and fmc decides to bypass the waypoint?
The amount and quality of your videos is insane Emi

Awesome, great video. Also shows how well the PMDG737 is modelled!
This is Insanely Detail explanation and i learn a lot from this
Thanks Cap 🙏🙏
A video creating waypoints for a DME Arc approach would be useful

@@A330Driver do you ever use conventional "turn-twist" method for it on an airliner?

Fantastic info. I often find my self using v/s and speed brk on descents, but this I will try today. Thanks!

Great video! The recalculation with current winds has made my VNAV much more accurate. THANK YOU! 👍🏻

Excellent video even by your standard.
Nicely explained. Thank you 👍🏻
i've been having trouble managing the speed during landing , thanks to this video i'll go try again using this information , thanks
Love this video. Didn’t know half of it. Thanks!
Thanks. Probably many takeaways for other planes as well
THESE videos are what I want and need 24 x 7. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all videos.. Please can you make a tutorial for using flaps at right time?
I did already ;-)
alot of thanks capten

Awesome Emi! Feel like im inching closer to my virtual type rating for the 737, thank you for your content!

Use HDG SEL to fly the turn and adjust speed as needed, or choose a different LNAV track.
😊
Good tips, thanks for sharing.
