You'll never get another Abody as cheap as you got that car. It's definitely temperamental. But you're making her a driver
Plus, around the same time you acquired the Heathrow skylark. I also acquired a 72 black skylark. I'm finally going to be able to work on it next month. I'm d9ne doing side work. My rides need my attention
On June 28th we got a big cruise in downtown Port Huron, traffic gets stopped up pretty good but the whole town is classic muscle and speed
Great work🎉
This is the perfect platform for a young guy looking to get into this side of the car world or an old timer like me wanting to dive into the LS world
Sounds great!
First drive fun
Hell yea Josh. Another awesome video of one my favorite car
Bad ass car man you did a great job
The car is looking good 👍👍
Bad ass car brother ...
I ended up using a stock small block chevelle radiator with amazon chevelle fans. Does pretty good
Don't ya love it when a plan comes together. You dun good buddy .😮😮😅
When i put the vacuum canister on my 78 camaro I tucked it up under the fender behind where the hood hindges bolt up. So it was completely out of sight.
I like that, I might move this one there at some point.
You never want to reclick the steering wheel! You correct the issue by adjusting the tie rods, making one side longer and the other shorter by equal amounts.
I've had the steering wheel off to mess with the steering column
What is the effective backspace of the front wheels? Like including the spacers.
The front wheels are 15x4 1.75" backspace and a 15mm spacer to clear the calipers
Very cool Josh, what ended up being the issue with low oil pressure on this car? Last i heard you were bummed because of low oil pressure.
The oil pressure sensor is junk, and the noise when I first got it running seems to have been just a stuck lifter that freed up after running a bit.
Dont cut the springs.just get new ones.
I’m like, he can hear the popping out the exhaust right? Is that detonation from too much timing? Or?
Lol yeah, I could hear it. I thought I said something about it in the video but I guess I just thought it. The plugs were junk, so I think I got it fixed but I'll take it down the road tomorrow and see for sure
What size are the tires and rims?It mainly the back and do you have any rubbing
If you go back a few videos, I show all the specs and everything on the wheels and tires. I don't remember the backspacing offhand, but the rears are 15x10. I want to say 5.5BS
How do u fix the pinion angel?
I miss Goldie Hawn been around since then 👌
On this I was able to loosen the rear U bolts and rotate the rear end
Is it me, or is the steering wheel bent something bad lol
I thought that too lol
Can you explain what the vacuum canister is for or does never heard of one being used
It's kind of like a vacuum reserve tank. As you're driving around and under different loads, your engine will have higher vacuum here and there. This is basically just a tank with a check valve so that it can kind of "store" that vacuum in the canister until you need it for whatever, in this case a little more braking pressure. It's like an air compressor in reverse lol
@@SniderTron3000 thanks for that I guess I would have to get a vacuum gauge to tell if I need one but I’m also guessing because your skylark is not stock you need it versus stock applications don’t need much vacuum thank you sir
You probly use your for breaks or I don’t know what else needs a good amount of vacuum
So is this a 5.3 or 6.0 ls in the skylark?
5.3
@@SniderTron3000 ok do you think 5.3 is good enough I have a 85 Camaro z28 ls swapped with a 5.3 ls to me I want more but then again the car is mainly a cruiser and my car has a stock gear in it I’ve been told once I put a rear gear like 3.73 I’ll feel a whole lot more power what’s your opinion on it
@jivan1348 Oh, for sure. The rear gearing will really wake it up. Even if it was a 4.8 I wouldn't be mad. They don't make a bunch of torque down low, so the gears really help. And depending on what cam is in it, you can rev them to 7,000-7,500 rpm. I wouldn't even think twice about it having a 5.3
@@SniderTron3000 what cam is in your motor do you have a link? And I have a Howard rattler .525 lift cam
@@SniderTron3000and what gear is in your car and what’s your rpm at ?
