Yep, vinyl-top cars will do that! I like the way vinyl top looks when it's mint, but the moisture and the rot they cause make me look more for a fake vinyl look. That's the way to do it; getting a real two-tone paint job instead of a vinyl that holds moisture. Imo.

The doors had no bottoms, and the trunk had no tail. Loved the car. I drove it for a couple of years, then the brakes went, and that was all they wrote. It had a white vinyl roof that was solid and hard no cushion. Cleaned it with. Comet cleaner with bleach $4.500.00 Dad bought it new. I remember how much fun it was to boot it into overdrive. Sadly sat on the porch watching it be towed away.

I had the 4 door version of this car back in the 1990's, same color too. I bought it off some old lady for like $800.00, it was a boat but so much fun to drive.

Yep some brown and tan smugglers rugs seat covers would really set the interior off the oil pressure is probably low because the old brittle umbrella seals took a field trip to the oil pump pickup 😁

Not to nitpick but I believe your car is now a Spyder, a car with no roof. A significant aesthetic improvement by far! As far as your "problem" goes, i think its a good problem to have. At least you make them live again.
