Praise the Lord. Many believe Satan is a proper name, but it actually translates to and refers to a role, not a specific being. Lucifer, meaning "light bearer," is a separate term often confused with Satan. It comes from Latin, not the original biblical languages. It is not just mentioned in the book of Job and Zechariah. Apostle John gives much more clarity in this same chapter. Here are the verses which is self explanatory... Rev 12:9 And THE GREAT DRAGON was thrown down, THE SERPENT of old who is called THE Devil and SATAN, who deceives the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, Rev. 12: 10 the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, HE WHO ACCUSES THEM BEFORE OUR GOD DAY AND NIGHT Understanding Satan and evil spirits is a complex topic.
