Matt 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, in Your name did we not prophesy, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ In a nutshell the answer is: All FAKE JEWS, CHRISTIANS and others who use the name of the LORD will be used like BAALAM the false prophet but eventually will inherit the place prepared for SATAN. First, let me clarify that I don’t believe in engaging in arguments, as they often put people in a defensive or offended state of mind. However, Scripture does teach us to defend the hope we have within us, so I’m sharing a few references to support the point. The Bible affirms that God did dwell in the temple - in a way that humans may not fully comprehend. It’s similar to how He dwells within the body of those who are born again. Below are a few verses that highlight this: • Exodus 25:8 "And let them make a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them." • Exodus 29:45-46 "I will dwell among the sons of Israel and will be their God. They shall know that I am Yahweh their God who brought them out of the land of Egypt, that I might dwell among them; I am Yahweh their God." • 1 Kings 8:10-13, 30 "When the priests came out of the Holy Place, the cloud filled the house of Yahweh, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of Yahweh filled the house of Yahweh." Solomon’s prayer and blessing make this clear: "Yahweh has said that He would dwell in the cloud of dense gloom. I have surely built You a lofty house, a place for Your dwelling forever." In verse 30, Solomon also says: "Listen to the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear in heaven, Your dwelling place; hear and forgive." (This verse shows that God is present in the temple, while also affirming His dwelling in heaven.) • Psalm 26:8 "O Yahweh, I love the habitation of Your house, the place where Your glory dwells." • Psalm 132:13 "For Yahweh has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His habitation." God’s Sovereign Rule Over the Earth Daniel 4:17 “This edict is by the resolution of the watchers, And the decision is a command of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High is the powerful ruler over the kingdom of mankind And gives it to whom He wishes And sets up over it the lowliest of men.” Daniel 4:25 “You will be driven away from mankind, and your dwelling place will be with the beasts of the field. You will be given grass to eat like cattle, and drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven periods of time will pass over you, until you recognize that the Most High is the powerful ruler over the kingdom of mankind and gives it to whomever He wishes.” Daniel 4:34-35 “At the end of those days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes toward heaven, and my knowledge returned to me. I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever. For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom endures from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does according to His will in the host of heaven And among the inhabitants of earth. No one can strike against His hand Or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’” ________________________________________ 2. Psalms Declaring God’s Rule Psalm 22:28 “For the kingdom is Yahweh’s, And He rules over the nations.” Psalm 47:2-3, 7-8 “For Yahweh Most High is fearsome, A great King over all the earth. At His wrath, the earth quakes, And the nations cannot endure His indignation. Thus you shall say to them, ‘The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.’” ________________________________________ 4. Isaiah 45:22-23 “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.” ________________________________________ 5. 1 Chronicles 29:11-12 “Yours, O Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. In Your hand is power and might, And it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.” ________________________________________ 6. Zechariah 14:9 “And Yahweh will be King over all the earth; On that day Yahweh will be the only one, And His name one.” ________________________________________ Summary of Key Themes • God’s rule is universal - His authority extends to all nations, kingdoms, and the entire earth. • God appoints leaders - He raises up rulers and brings them down according to His will. • God’s rule is eternal - His reign endures from generation to generation. • All will acknowledge His kingship - Ultimately, every nation and person will bow to Him. ________________________________________ Regarding John 12:31 - Context Is Key The verse you referenced says: “Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.” However, the answer lies in the next two verses: John 12:32-33 “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.” He said this to indicate the kind of death He was about to die. Note: The "casting out" of the ruler of this world refers to the victory over Satan through Christ’s death and resurrection. Although the victory is accomplished, it is not yet fully implemented until Christ's return. ________________________________________ Clarifying the Word "Ruler" (ἄρχων) The Greek word ἄρχων (archōn) used in John 12:31 can have different meanings depending on the context. For example: • Revelation 1:5 "And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the Ruler (ἄρχων) of the kings of the earth." Here, Jesus is referred to as the ultimate ruler over all earthly kings.
