nah terminators aren’t organized like this. They’re more like a hivemind while the Automatons have a more individualistic identity (the commissar is calling cadence like an army drill sgt)
Odds are they are once humans that somehow found a way to fully convert themselves into machines. In the first game, there was a very similar faction (with the same logo and color scheme, plus Helldivers 2 Super Earth propaganda have outright pointed this out as well) known as the Cyborgs. So whatever part of the Cyborg faction that was left in exile after the events of the first game likely found a way to go full automaton.
@RichSmithsonthough the propaganda stations are also on the big side. And lore there's been seperate "socialist" uprisings in the past that were purely human, including the one that first called for the creation of the Helldivers. However I do have a theory that these Automata have some truth to the "baby stealing" propaganda where they are actively capturing and converting those with low Patriotism scores, which would mostly include children, so they can convert them. And then everyone whose converted just sort of lives as a disembodied consciousness, while occasionally taking over the robot bodies to either better direct them in combat, or to play out some aspect of their past personality, or as like I theorized most of them are "children" so "to play and explore" might be a more apt phrase.
If I remember correctly the lore goes like this. The cyborgs from the first game were humans that started an uprising but lost. Hinted to in multiple voice lines like the one where the engineer on your ship goes “ we re-enacted the battle of liberty peak” they lost that one and went into exile. Turning themselves into cyborgs. Now in this game they’re automatons. Are they automatons or did they make an army of them since they don’t wanna go to war and lose members anymore? No idea. My moneys on the making robots and not being them one though cause that’s the only way the automatons could have a leader. Edit. After a little bit of delving deep I found a Twitter message of 2 years ago in code of the helldivers Twitter. When translated. The code is from the cyborgs. We’re they call them their children. So long story short the cyborgs created them. Search up helldivers 1 code message encrypted and you’ll find a Reddit thread that decrypted it
I've heard the Cyborgs say "I can't stop" when attacking and "Sweet Liberty" when killed, I have a very strong belief that they capture and 'convert' people into automatons... and those ones with all the skulls/ close combat beasties are the ones that were driven to madness during the process.
It's either that or this: "Cyberstan! Can't keep her down! Back in town! Auto-ma-toooons!" Basically saying "They may have won the war, but they can't keep us down!"
@@rekrn12345 It's not static, it's voice lines put through so many filters no one has any idea what it's actually saying, but just like the sound effects for the Probe Droid of Star Wars, there IS something to be heard, but its so unrecognizable it's up to everyone's interpretation.

"You cant escape"
"Your going to die"
"Do not run"
"You will die"
Yikes man, thats some scary stuff
people really do be making up awfully written dialogue from static, scary
i think it's "you cant hide" instead of do not run but i have been listening to this for like 20 minutes tryna figure out what they're saying so I may be going crazy
That isn't what they are saying at all lol.
My reaction to that information: ⬇️⬆️➡️⬅️⬇️⬆️➡️
thought i heard one say "We cant let them extract!" when we got to the extraction point, pretty cool
Damn, they actually are a bunch of Terminators
*Soviet Terminators. So much worse. 😬
@@hughmann6300
I wonder if they actually are socialists though or if its just propaganda to demonise them. Although there insignia looks socialist enough. So if they are Socialists, I wonder why.
nah terminators aren’t organized like this. They’re more like a hivemind while the Automatons have a more individualistic identity (the commissar is calling cadence like an army drill sgt)
CY-BER-STAN
CAN'T KEEP HER DOWN
GET BACK UP
GO TO WAR
(They are definetly gonna try to attack cyberstan and ally with the cyborgs i swear)
Cute song. Lets see how it sounds with fifty-thousand volts coursing through that voice box, Bot.
I wonder if all automatons have a different role in the march. Maybe the Hulks only sing the lower notes, and the berserkers only scat 😂
So are they alive or is there a faction controlling them? As in are they sentient or like droids?
Odds are they are once humans that somehow found a way to fully convert themselves into machines. In the first game, there was a very similar faction (with the same logo and color scheme, plus Helldivers 2 Super Earth propaganda have outright pointed this out as well) known as the Cyborgs. So whatever part of the Cyborg faction that was left in exile after the events of the first game likely found a way to go full automaton.
@@jtr7377also worth mentioning the grunt sword guys are made out of dead helldivers
@@SneednFeed21 what makes you think that?
Search up helldivers 1 code message encrypted and you’ll find a Reddit thread that decrypted it
Ah, excellent! This means we can teach them fear.
I've heard the Cyborgs say "I can't stop" when attacking and "Sweet Liberty" when killed, I have a very strong belief that they capture and 'convert' people into automatons... and those ones with all the skulls/ close combat beasties are the ones that were driven to madness during the process.
Ngl that's so sad if true.
We're those berserkers? Because they use the screams and shouts of people they killed before.
that helldiver scum was personal especially that second of silence as they turn and scan you, they will not forget a diver now will the rest
XD
Hearing it again is giving me ptsd.
Bout to be “calling in a orbital” all night tonight thanks.
Heart and steel
Can’t keep us down
Can’t keep us down
Marching on
ONTO TO WAR.
Also hear her … that’s concerning
Can’t keep her down…
It's either that or this:
"Cyberstan!
Can't keep her down!
Back in town!
Auto-ma-toooons!"
Basically saying "They may have won the war, but they can't keep us down!"
Its literally just static and nothing to be heard. Stop making shit up lol.
@@rekrn12345 It's not static, it's voice lines put through so many filters no one has any idea what it's actually saying, but just like the sound effects for the Probe Droid of Star Wars, there IS something to be heard, but its so unrecognizable it's up to everyone's interpretation.
When they saw you "ITS PETER GRIFFIN"
BRO I CANT UNHEAR IT 😭😭😭
The game definitely needs dedicated melee weapons, I wanna go full 40k with a chainsword
Re-purposed Berserker arm as a support weapon would be cool. Or even an armor set that converted your arm into a chainsaw or something that would be sick
Speed it up to x2 and listen again. Kinda nice
You can also hear one Automaton go "Helldiver scum!" right as he gets spotted. Never really noticed that
They did such a good job with the sound design the bots are genuinely unnerving/scary
when i first heard this last week i was shitting myself ngl
Sounds like they need Freedom.
From their mortal coils.
Did you forget comrade, that the machine is immortal?
@@TommieTheCommie i showed your response to the democracy officer. I saw his eyes move from your comment, to your name, and land on your profile pic.
He then fell on the ground, convulsed, and died.
If you see a red line going from your feet to a ship in low orbit, this is the reason.
@@zaelheimricht4978like I said the machine is immortal, you only waste value on me, I will return, we will return
@@zaelheimricht4978 The Inquisition will deal with him. Abominable Intelligence is a heresy that cannot be tolerated. The Emperor Protects!
Since some commentators here mention that they hear "Can't keep her down", i came up with the idea. In the first game privates on your ship could say that "a crazy scientist started replacing body parts on people she had kidnapped". She. So automatons can actually hail their creator in those chants.
One of them said the line before that one sounded like “Cyberstan” so it could also be that. Referring cyberstan as her (as most countries do)
0:48 "Grill me a grilled cheese"
😂😂😂😂😂
Them detecting you would scare the crap out of me
I heard one say something like “it’s easier if you quit”
This sounds like you just inserted the platinum chip and activated an army of securitrons.
The Automatons are trying to reconquer their homeworld!!! Creek was a distraction.
Bad people stay.
Bad people pay.
---------
Haaappyyy daaayyy!
Whilst trying to hear what they are chanting 😅
HAIL KU GATH
I can’t tell the other lines but it sounds like the final line of the chant is them saying “Never Die” like ne-ver die
Actually gave me a chill when he made a noise and the chant immediately came to a dead stop
Cyberstan can't keep her down? Well you put them all down with the power of Super Earth.
Well done citizen!
even tho its a third person game this game has some really good immersion
Nothing scares a patriot more than the idea of fair distribution of resources
Looks like someone wants to be liberated.
Imagine hearing this chanting behind you only to see an army of automatons headed toward your team
Imagine hearing that during the massacre at Malevelon creek and then you hear it ringing in your ears years after the campaign. Lorewise of course.
That's not just a banger. . . thats a *super* banger.
cyber banger
*automatons casually singing in cadence*
Me standing silently in a bush holding a 500 pound bomb strategem
That is terrifying 😂
The last thing we heard on Malevelon Creek
Good work soldier, dispensing justice at the end of the clip. For super earth!
it all started here
I'm going to try my first Malevelon Creek mission! Wish me luck!
I heard something like "Bones and skulls can't keep us down. Go to war! Go to waaaaar!"
had my first experience of the automatons today, squad successfully took a base fairly easily., and then i saw loads of red eyes slowly marching out fo the fog while singing this and opening fire while i jumped on a turret, my diver screaming "for the federation" as an explosion took him out. So amazing, fully of the opinion that the game fully enters its prime against automotons
I’d buy this game if I could play as the Automatons
I seem to constantly hear "You can't escape" while fighting automatons.
Ya know that sounds pretty epic honest- wait hold on I just heard a knock on my door.
I remember hearing them sing for the first time. And yelling “THEY HAVE A FUCKING CADENCE!?” My boyfriend laughed for a hot minute
Everyone when they see automatons: OH MY GOD THEIRS ROBOTS!!!!
me:dun dun dun dun dun……dun dun dun dun dun
When they are alerted, I hear "I see something."
Goes kind of hard.
EDIT: Not as hard as Super Earth's anthem, of course, in case my Ministry of Truth agent is watching. This edit was not a result of any legally binding contract or coercion.

Automaton: Helldiver around here!
Helldiver: Anyways I started shooting!
I have a few videos I am going to release of the Automotons yelling "kill me, I don't want to do this", "I don't want to hurt them" and just screaming as if in pain.
Ngl from a distance I thought they were singing " Napalm Sticks to Kids "- which for robots that hate all organic life makes sense.
"Cyberstan - Can't keep her down - Legion go - Until dawn"
"Heart steel - we kill - ?"
iron will
Been playing for a week so far and everything I hear from the internet is that I should be VERY afraid of the Automatons and just stick to killing bugs.
All of that bravado just to shot full of lightning...
honestly its sounds to me like they are saying locate the scum
Didnt think the robots had their own marching songs thats pretty cool theyd do that at all
Melevelon Creek traumatised me so much I had to take vacation of fightning bug titans!
