Hello everyone. I have 4C hair and I want to start taking proper care of my hair. I have been making a lot of mistakes in the past which I want to correct. For context, my hair is not too long and barely reaches my eyebrows when stretched. It also has low porosity. So, I went and watched some RUclips videos and read some website articles. Basically, I've planned a routine for a typical wash day from the information that I've gathered. 1. Shampoo your hair. 2. Deep condition your hair for thirty minutes to one hour. Heat can be used. 3. Rinse it out and use a leave-in conditioner. 4. Use hair gel if you want. 5. You can use a light oil like Argon oil to accompany the conditioner. Every up there is a routine for the wash day, but what routine can I use for my daily life? I don't know how correct everything here is, but I'm still confused about some things. 1. When is the right time to detangle my hair? Is it when using deep conditioner or when using leave-in conditioner? 2. How often should I detangle my hair? 3. How often should I wash my hair and should I only wash my hair with shampoo? 4. Should I only wash my hair with shampoo? 5. I intend to deep condition my hair every week since I have dry hair. However, how often should I use a leave-in conditioner? 6. Should I only use a leave-in conditioner after washing my hair when wet? 7. Can I use a leave-in conditioner in place of a moisturizer? 7. Can I leave my hair without washing or moisturising for some days? I know it seems long. Please bare with me as I am very confused right now. Also, what recommendations do you have for shampoos, deep conditioners and leave-in conditioners? What products should I buy? Lastly, any general tips you might have about black 4C hair care would be appreciated. Thank you for reading.
1. I usually do it while using deep conditioner but I don’t know how others might feel about it. 2. Once or twice a week 3. I have 4b hair and I’ve found that washing it 2-3 times a month helps it grow more 4. I’ve found that it’s better to use shampoo & conditioner 5. You can use a leave-in conditioner daily 6. This one I don’t exactly know because I currently do it after washing it or adding like some type of liquid to it and it works greatly but I’ve never exactly experienced it without wetting it first 7. Yes, it’s great since you have low porosity hair 8. Since you have 4c hair you should be moisturizing daily just to keep it from being dry and from breakage occurring but as I said washing it 2-3 times a month helps a lot better
Bro first after all, There are basic rules like Using a Sulfate Free Shampoo and condicioner (Sulfates makes your hair dry, very very dry) This is my second time growing out a full afro, i can give you some tips 1. Sulfate free shampoo and condicioner, wash you hair atleast every 2 days 2. basic rule, Your sometimes might be desesperated about how to much little progess you hair have and im sorry but afro hair is the hair that MOST takes time to grow out, theres nothing you cant do about it and NO, DONT BRUSH IT ALL THE TIME 3. always try using new stuff in your hair, but remember to dont touch it after you style it, you know that you are using the right products when your hair keeps is "curly" shape, or well it depends about the kind of afro that you are trying to grow up 4. Learn to cut it by yourselft , i had more than 1 year growing my hair out but i decided to get a "Little" haircut, but the lady dont knew how to cut afro hair and she ended up almost leaving me bald, Lmao sounds like a lie but is truth, Today people are not used to grow afro hair so is super, super , super weird to find someone that wants to grow it out so people dont know how to handle an afro 5. Remember to use something like a oil (avocado oil, I dont recommend using coconut oil ) in your hair, use it before you are going to style it (after you washed it) 6. Another basic rule is that sometimes you will have Bad hair days , when your hair looks like if it is dry and you feel like you must cut it, resist the temptation , sometimes is normal to see your hair like this 7. The secret of growing afro hair out is..... Simply "ignore it" dont be all the whole time caring about your hair, ofc care about it when you wash it , etc, but then just forget about it for the rest of the day, your hair is very very very delicated so if you brush it to much you will lost more hair, just brush it when you style it after you take a shower, thats actually it lmao, Is pretty simple

what would your routine be and how often would you condition and moisturize your hair. Would you moisturize your hair in the shower or after you shower. also would you condition or moisturize your hair first ?
I moisturize after so the water and steam don't pull the moisture back out while Im in there and dilute the product Im using. I personally condition about every other week. daily I detangle, style and moisturize!
Hey Tino, first off thanks for the video and the knowledge. My question is what can I use to keep my hair moist and soft to the touch, seems like everything I choose I put it on and my hair never stays moist can you direct e to something I should try?? Thanks again
Shea moisture has a mens line shampoo and a good DEEP conditioner Is essential to hair that dries easily. Comb the conditioner through the hair and Leaving it on for 3-5 minutes preferably with a plastic cap. Rinse the conditioner out with COLD water help retain moisture. Follow up with black castor oil. Hey man I really appreciate the knowledge here. I once had a s curl for maybe over 2 years, ever since I cut it off my hair continues to stick upwards even when is extremely short. I was wondering is there anything I can do to get my hair to lay down? I’ve used wave grease and durags which helps but only for a day.
Apply some hair gells they really help, or hair spray that you can rub in it really helps with itchy scalps, and flakes and helps keep your scalp moisturised but really all you wanna do is not wash your hair often and keep it moistured and do some research on your type of hair and how to take care of it
Scalp itchiness and flakes are typically from dryness or excessive product buildup. so if yours is from dryness make sure your moisturize your scalp ( not just your HAIR) so do what you do at day 1 in 2 days instead of three and see if that helps your routine. you may just need to do it more frequently cause your hair could be wicking more moisture from your scalp than it can produce
I get knots in my hair at like the ends and I’m not sure why or how to get rid of them. I tend to just pull them out bc it gets annoying. Any suggestions ?
It depends on your hair. Oils, Butters or Pomades that are natural. if you want more hold use a pomade after you moisturize it. if you just want o seal it in use an oil ike a jojoba or a mixed oil for natural hair.
I’m trying to grow my hair, and I got that African coarse hair so it’s taking longer than normal but when I shower should I be using a shower cap? Or let the warm water hit my head
Well warm water will open your cuticle of your hair more so if you do let the warm water hit it consider doing a co-wash (conditioner only no shampoo) ..as far as the shower cap- just make sure you’re not losing all of your natural oils
Yes that can happen. Everyones hair grows to a certain length and then it just kinda keeps itself healthy.. you can use heat or chemicals to loosen the curls so it had more room to move around and sometimes that lets your body tell your hair to grow longer lol that what we used to do with those s-curl kits backing the 90s
Hey my 5 yr old son has kinky but naturally curly hair. Should I put his moisturizer on while his hair is wet and just work my fingers through it? No brush no comb?

Moisturize probably. Idk about oil or what type of oil you're talking about. seal hydration (Water) in with the oil. Oil by itself will most likely make the hair greasy!
@@TinoXStudio yes it just the oils part mainly im troubled on. because for years i use grease. my hair felt great. i got it long but as it was long enough to my shoulders, everytime i combed it i get a big bundle of hair on my comb. an i mean big bundle. so i kinda ignored it. after a good few years i see like in loosing hair. i try to figure out whats goin on. im hearing take oils an stuff. i did but my hair was feeling like straw. later i went to a hair dresser. she says never use oils on hair. it makes your hair dry. dont believe the oil that moisturizes anything. its only good for a quick shine it should be washed off. sorry comment long but you get what im saying
I came here cause I’m done listening to these women literally doing gymnastics, and weird ass hair styles to make their natural hair grow. Takin a tip from the boys cause obviously y’all doing something right 😐
lol yeah just stimulate the scalp make sure the pores aren't clogged and keep the strands of hair hydrated as they wick and release moisture.. make sure you don't have split ends so it doesn't break.. keratin if its already damaged but really its not super difficult.
My biggest tip for black *People* after washing your hair. leave your hair ALONE. Dont even touch it ... And yes drink a gallon of water daily and eat healthier, a healthy lifestyle has just as much to do with maintaining healthy hair than conditioning. God bless everyone.
I appreciate you watching and commenting and I respectfully disagree. Black people have all different types of hair. Different patterns, porosity and types of damage. Get a consultation from a professional of you are in need of haircare. Conditioners, treatments, oils, butters and moisturizers are around for a reason. Don’t let it get try and brittle. Water is important and eating the right types of food are also essential. I’m not a nutritionist but the ones I’ve worked with do not recommend a whole gallon.
yeah was surprised I couldn't find much info on the internet only from the books and the barbershops so here it is: lmk what other questions you have idk ill tap into the barber network and check and get a group answer

@@TinoXStudio i stopped going to him. I cut all my hair off about two weeks ago and ima see how it grows back. I cut it bald so I’m the upcoming weeks I’ll see .
@@jbvisiongod hows it going
@@referee1044 it’s back to normal. I cut my hair completely off on April 1st and let it grow back. All i use on my scalp n hair was shampoo when i was it and herbal oil for moisture. It’s grown back like it normally did and my wave patterns are even back ✅
Ngl the thumbnail is hella creative
Thanks that means a lot 🙏🏽
should i oil my hiar daily?
Moisturize probably. Idk about oil or what type of oil you're talking about. seal hydration (Water) in with the oil. Oil by itself will most likely make the hair greasy!
@@TinoXStudio I used doo groo hair for hair growth, also recently I got the ends trimmed like an inch
2 things here. When ppl brush it’s good but can also lead to hair loss. Oils are not good for growth. It can clog pours
One thing here: too much of anything is bad for you even water right? Too much sleeping , too much candy etc
Seen ur face I had to watch u

I came here cause I’m done listening to these women literally doing gymnastics, and weird ass hair styles to make their natural hair grow. Takin a tip from the boys cause obviously y’all doing something right 😐
lol yeah just stimulate the scalp make sure the pores aren't clogged and keep the strands of hair hydrated as they wick and release moisture.. make sure you don't have split ends so it doesn't break.. keratin if its already damaged but really its not super difficult.
and welcome. Come back and let me know what women's hair questions you have cause I want to help however I can
My biggest tip for black *People* after washing your hair. leave your hair ALONE.
Am here to ask if you're single🥺
Yep getting things together to meet wifey one of these days
Bruh black men hair gets no care a lot. u gon never see two brothers giving hair care tips it's a problem
