Love it. I have the RF24-240 on it. Got an R50 with RF100-400. They are NOT heavy. Mirrorless allows lenses to be lighter. Both are lighter than my old Tamron EF-S 18-270. Yes. Lighter than a similar APS-C mirror lens.
I just purchased this camera and this will be my first full body modern camera. I used to have an old Canon AE-1 35mm camera with a complete set of lenses, ended up getting divorced and you guessed correctly; I don't have them anymore. I will purchase the battery packs and give it a go! I found your video extremely useful, and I thank you for making it.
Great review for the Canon RP. I'm looking at a replacement for my 80D and something full frame and lighter. It looks like the RP will fit the bill nicely. You've got a new subscriber!
Really great camera fantastique You have to get it full frame camera really cheap 26 megapixel camera Widely Compatible EF-RF Lens what else i'm professional photographer and i work with my canon RP I Get the Job Done
Thank you for reviewing the Canon RP. I have the Canon 6D and am debating buying the RP. There is not much advantage for me to buy the RP except that it is Mirrorless and lighter than the 6D. But does that justify spending $1000 on a new camera? Still thinking about it. The only thing I do not like that you did in your video that many people do in their videos is that you use side shots of you talking but you do not look at the camera! I call that the RUDE shot. If I were in front of you and we were speaking, I would consider it rude if you did not look at me when you spoke. I know some say it is to avoid viewer fatigue, but you can still have the side shots but with you looking at the camera. Yea it is some kind of technique, but it is still RUDE. Thanks again.
Honestly, I had the 6D a few years ago and came back to photography and purchased the RP. The auto focus is years ahead, really fast. It's much smaller and lighter and snaps amazing photos.
@@MrDamoHutchinson I bought a refurbed RP around Christmas, also coming from the 6D - I totally agree, the autofocus is much better, and it is lighter. The battery life is much shorter, but that can be remedied by carrying a second battery. The touch screen is such a nice upgrade, but I will say the EVF does take some getting used to

Great review, the engineering & build on digital cameras and lens is remarkable.

Excellent vid. I hope Canon doesn't totally abandon small size bodies.
Great video, thanks for sharing your opinions, I own both but my use case is so different that your outlook is interesting
Try unscrewing the battery grip while keeping the battery grip connected to the tripod.
