    I’m unable to eat a great deal I haven’t for the last 6 months but did keto I lost 14lb in 6 months so went to carnivore lost a bit more but can’t physically eat more meat in a day. After watching this you explained it beautifully so I’m adding butter to my 3 morning coffees to see if this helps my carbs are low usually between 4-14g a day so I guess I will up fat . I just assumed as I have fat on my body I’d use that 🤦‍♀️

    Have been carnivore for almost 3 months. It was easy for me - no flu and results very quickly. The meals did seem huge as I worked on matching protein and fats and with beef burger for instance I was taking in a lot of meat at a sitting which felt excessive compared to the "old days". A lot of positives early on indicated it was all working. About three weeks ago, however, the heavy meat load seems to have activated inflammation in joints and I am suffering gout-like symptoms. I still have no cravings and am seeing good results on weight loss but I am falling short when trying to get enough fat while I try to back off a bit on red meat to see if that is causing the issues.

    I'm 24 days into eating a carnivore diet and kept wondering why I was still craving sugar. I'm pretty sure it's a lack of fat. Fingers crossed that upping the fat in my meals will curb the sugar cravings.

    My favorite fats are butter, ribeyes, bacon, eggs and ground beef; and occasionally cod liver or avocados. Alice and Kevin, what fats do you recommend to someone looking at cutting back or giving up carbs?

    The second time around with my heavy meet based diet I had increased the fat and had unexpected benefits with mood and mind clarity I do try to make bone broth and freeze it and I eat a lot of eggs and butter add bacon and Ribeyes once in awhile but mostly chuck roast. I did want to ask your thoughts on coconut oil and I know that it's not carnivore.

    Every video I watch they say to eat till full/satisfied, but for example, if a ribeye is roughly 1:1 for fat/protein ratio, but then you need to be hitting 70% fat and 30% protein for a days carnivore eating, how are you adding more fat without introducing additional protein like say adding bacon to it? You can add butter, you can cook in butter (or animal fats) but what else? You'd need to eat an entire block of butter pretty much to achieve 2:1
    This is what im super confused about.

      This is the part I find most difficult, achieving higher fat without increasing protein. I've started buying higher fat minced beef and adding more cheese than I was. I've also stopped removing chicken skin. You can add extra butter to steaks and fish, and some people occasionally add cream to their coffee.

      I'm carnivore. I eat lots of fat, but here's the magic/easy part: with carnivore you really don't have to worry so much. Just eat food like ground beef (don't drain the fat), ribeyes, and cheese, which are naturally in the perfect protein:fat ratio.
      The way you can screw up is by eating unnaturally. When you dine out, food is marketed and presented in low fat ratios. Beef (say in a burger) has fat removed from eat. People are steered towards lean meats, like it's a good thing: filets, chicken breasts, etc.. Even milk (as we drink it) has the fat unnaturally removed. Eat the whole (or much as you can) animal. Prefer chicken wings (with skin and fat) to breast. Prefer ribeyes to lean cuts, and eat the fat. Get some organs when you can. Add cream to milk, or drink half-and-half (if you're like me and don't have access to milk in it's natural form).
      You really don't have to think about it. Carnivore done RIGHT is trivial. It's natural. Eat when hungry, eat until satisfied, don't unnaturally steer towards low fat options.

    If u eat a lot fat how get your body to burn its own fat??? I get confused cuz one group eating sticks butter And other promoting Psmf to lose weight 🤷‍♀️

    I am new to carnivore and really struggling with energy and carb addiction withdrawal. I am very hungry, but, just cannot eat much at one time without being really turned off; very unexpected. I am trying to add tallow to my meat bcs my blood sugar and energy are really crazy low and I am so hungry, but, get sick to my stomach or just turned off quickly after eating a "normal"palm-sized meat. I cannot force myself to eat more meat than I normally would with sides and I really want the sides. The struggle is real for me. The meats are clean and grass fed and meats that I loved until this is all that I can have.

      If you’re including zero calorie sweeteners that can make you body think you’re getting carbs. Try cutting down on any sweeteners. This can also contribute to carb cravings.
      Salt, you need more salt and water on a carnivore diet. I’ve noticed that salt can drastically help with both cravings. Getting enough water also drastically helps.
      If you’re repulsed by food, your body might not need anything. Maybe try fasting for longer periods of time.
      When you do eat, get fatty cuts, a good cheaper option is high fat ground beef. Another great option is chuck roast or chuck steaks. Don’t forget about bacon.

      Ground beef is your friend. 80/20, no fat drained. Make 5 lbs and keep in fridge. No seasoning except salt. You will find yourself craving it that way, and never get bored of it. You'll probably just eat it cold out of the fridge with a spoon.
      Sounds boring, but actually it's liberating. It's notionally just about perfect, and you get about 2 hours/day of your life back not thinking about food, shopping for food, prepping food, or cleaning up. And not going to the bathroom. And having no food/hunger related mood swings.
      Only caveat is that everyone else in your life, and their dependence on food, their whininess about what to eat, having to eat right now, making social plans based on food, and constant (as you will pick up on) complaints about how they feel....all their problems become your problems. So, 2 hours of your life back each day free of dependence on eating, but anything you do socially will still be shackled by the needs of those around you.
