The Strawberry Statement (1970) Official Trailer - Bruce Davison, Kim Darby Movie HD
Simon is a student at a college in San Francisco. He is content to be on the rowing team and remain as just a casual observer to the on-campus unrest, demonstrations and protests. However, curiosity gets the best of him and he begins exploring the inner sanctum of the students who have invaded the dean's office. He soon meets Linda and becomes a loyal member of the student revolution to meet girls. However, when he truly discovers the corruption and the madness that his comrades are protesting, his mindset also joins the movement. He becomes a revolutionary leader and prepares his comrades for a very violent climactic showdown with "the pigs" at a sit-in.

Like others said, highly underrated movie, that you can’t find anywhere. I loved it, like I loved Kim Darby in it 🙂.... and the wonderful music

My daughter gave me the movie on DVD for my birthday years ago. I still have it. Bruce Davidson had an uncanny resemblance to my first love, so the first time I watched it, I was overwhelmed with emotion.

My Dad (RIP) commented that when it was released (and he was younger), this movie was the best thing he had ever watched. He then rewatched it 20 years later and found it quite silly. Happens with everything as one gets old. He owned the soundtrack on vinyl (what else) and the cover with the gas masks was spooky as heck.

To the uploader of this video. I'm not sure if you know this, but this video is featured on the "MyRetroTVs Website!" I kid you not! I selected 70s for the type of TV I wanted to watch, and I heard two songs I TRULY LOVE! "The Circle Game," And "Our House," The song, "Our House," by Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS SONG!! Finding it so quickly when surfing through the channels on the 70s TV simulation I was watching, I nearly cried! I LOVE this song! My family can tell you that!

Saw Quentin on with a film critic hosting a showing of Elliott Gould's "Getting Straight" which had similar themes to this. He mentioned "Strawberry Statement" as also being one of his favorites.

My grandparents took me to this movie when I was 7 thinking it was a kids movie. It was
Playing with Sterile CooCoo. They stayed for both features. WTF

Too bad 4 you but both films R awesome. Of course I did not see Cuckoo until I was 13 or 14 and I really was interested in going to college after seeing how cool it was. I also liked the song by the Sandpipers: COMEW SATURDAY MORNING. Lastly I thought Liza Minelli was extremely cute and and KOOK. (STERILE CUCKOO and read the book) Saw STRAWBERRY STATEMENT when I was 22 and liked the concept and liked KIM DARBY. Hal Ashby I think directed it and he direct my other fave movie HAROLD AND MAUDE. Great films.
