Sanjeevji...i have been viewer of your recepees since my teenage..masala bhaat contains ..lots of tej pan, cloves, black pepper, dalchini, whole penauts, elichi...& Goda msaala in large quantity....its feature of masala bhaat. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor is a celebrity chef. But doesn’t know how to cook so many dishes from especially the southern region of India. He sometimes behaves as an ambassador of basmati rice. I have heard him saying that khichadi is eaten by people all over India, but the fact is that it is not prepare in the Kerala

Sir,use curd while preparing tadka for masala rice which gives superb taste.
TRADITIONALLY Masale bhat is made from Kolam rice and not Basmati rice.
