The collector is basically a chaos god. Think of him on the same level as bill cipher

@@DarkRaikon It's probably for the best, because with Amphibia a lot of people complained about 'too slow' and 'too much filler', whereas the owl house was forced to make almost every episode plot relevant with only a few simpler, character building, 'filler' episodes

@@thunderstrike101 tbh I'd rather have a fully written series with fun fillers (like a beach and an amity Luz Date which was confirmed to had happened if it the series didn't get shortened) than a rushed series
Things of note:
- Odalia forced Amity to dye and style her hair like her own, forced the twins to match each other since she, quote, "preferred them as a matching set," which gave them both different complexes surrounding that (remember during Grom? Edric's biggest fear is being alone forever, and Emira's biggest fear is being stuck with Edric forever). She wasn't doing this to protect the family as people, she was doing this to protect her family as assets, as something she owned.
- It goes by quick, but during the fight with Monster Belos, Gus uses Adrian's mirror to probe at Belos' memories. Given the slow fade of the glow from his eyes after, and the haunted look on his face, it's implied that Gus got essentially the Hollow Mind supercut in those handful of seconds.
- The subtitles are wrong. When Belos sees Hunter holding Flapjack, he doesn't say "kill him!" he says "Caleb?!" This was confirmed by Dana Terrace on Twitter. This implies that 1) Philip's brother was named Caleb, and that 2) Flapjack was carved by Caleb. Note how Flapjack is a cardinal, a bird native to Connecticut in the Human Realm. And, in the audio "Hunter's Palisman Observations," it's confirmed that witches don't know what a "flapjack" is. Implying that Flapjack was named and owned by a human. We also know Philip's brother was a woodcarver from some of the Hollow Mind paintings.
- Originally, when the Collector splattered Belos against the wall, there was going to be a "splash zone" where the kids all had to duck out of the way of flying Belos Goop. And Hunter, incapacitated by the draining spell (notice how Willow and Gus have to literally carry him out of the Collector's way when they go to move the moon), wouldn't be able to move in time and would get covered in "Belos chunks." Not my wording, this was said by a crew member on Twitter.
- The night King's Tide aired, it was raining just like that in Connecticut. People posted videos and photos. It was eerie.

I read everything in their voices (Disney’s is just a random ceo voice), and when it got to Mickey’s part, I chuckled.

For Mickey I hear mostly the Paul Rudish version now (one that has a wide range of expressions and can get angry or hurt). A Mickey who just want to enjoy life but has experienced with both the good, the bad, and the constant blaming from angry Disney fans due to being the mascot and a long worker yet actually has little power in company affairs. Overall tired of the same backstage and onstage events yet rarely shocked.
@@adamhinton3441 Mickey was created by Walt Disney out of spite for someone that tried to steal a similar character idea. Mickey later became the mascot of Disney for that obvious reason. If he was a real person, he'd probably be a hitman for Disney that "Copyright Strikes" people.

The Collector is scarier than Bill Cipher to me. At least with Bill, you know he has plans and will take you out easily. But The Collector, he is so childlike and you never know when his mood will change on you.
Definitely. And even if the Collector is happy, he could still kill someone by accident. He doesn't seem to understand the concept of mortality. "You guys look slow too. You want a head start?" If King hadn't intervened Luz and the others might have been next.
I personally disagree because with the collector you can at least trick him into doing what you want as long as you promise him a game or any form of entertainment while bill is just ruthless and blunt with what he wants, he only got defeated with plot armor, otherwise he would've won

But the difference is, Bill knows what he’s doing is wrong, he just doesn’t care. The Collector is a kid on a sugar rush.
When Belos looked at Flapjack and said Kill him he actually said Caleb, it was an error on the subtitles.
There’s actually a very good reason why The Titan imprisoned The Collector. *He’s the grand Huntsman.* Remember that person wearing the star and moon cloak that appeared in Eda’s dream in Knock Knock Knocking on Hooty’s Door? The one who supposedly tried to catch the Owl Beast before turning it into a cursed scroll? Yeah, there’s probably a reason why he’s named “The Collector”
Yeah a lot happened in a short time with these 2 episodes.
King's deal with the Collector was a smart move, even it it doesn't seem like it. Unlike Belos who had no intention of sparing anyone, the Collector is naive and more interested in playing than outright killing, so he can be distracted until a proper solution can be found. Basically King traded an Unwinnable situation for an Uncertain situation.
smart or not it was the only visible fix to a very time sensitive problem

So slightly messed up fact, when Belos gets gooped it originally happened above the hexide squad, they all managed to dodge except hunter, who promptly starts crying. It was cut for being too dark.
Another cut scene happened before the lumity kiss and it’s hunter Gus and Willow talking, hunter doesn’t get why Luz is taking so long to get amity and Willow and gus say they’ll “explain it when he’s older” to which he responds “but I’m the oldest one here?”

Collector is like a kid. He intrigued to play more than other that why he believe th owl house game so easily. BUT he's also freakin powerful. So combination of kid who still does not know what right or wong and a power that I think can literally destroy the world....we got him.
Who do the sub for this episode when belos see flapjack he actually said Caleb not kill him, also you guys might not remember but Caleb is actually the name flapjack suggest to Hunter when he try to hide his identity from willow and gus, and I guess that pretty much confirm that flapjack previous owner is Philip brother caleb

There are so many hints that luz Hunter switch place it is amazing how well they pulled that off in the show the fun fact is you guys kind of pointed it out without realizing it which is not a problem on your end they did a really good job at hiding it but you guys mentioned like noticing that loose talk to Gus at one point while they were in the bubble that was her asking us to do it if you're paying attention to gas you'll see at some point he always has blue illusion rings around his wrist and the one I actually kind of caught when I first watched this was luz uses one of Hunter's main like spells the little golden teleportation thing to save Willow that was just Hunter doing Hunter things that's not even all of them it's so good that I'll like cool little foreshadowing moments they put in there and I think still were able to pull it over most people's eyes.
Man you all need a truck load of tissues by the sadness of King’s choice to save his big sister and her friends 😭 I can’t wait to see what happens at 15 October as it be one episode for this last year of owl house. Next year just have two than that’s it.
You guys are correct on all sides for the release of Season 3. The 1st episode will air on October 15th of this year, and the last 2 will somewhere in the spring of 2023
Fun Fact: when belos was splattered by the collecter, hunter was originally going to be in the splash zone and instead of him saying "eep" when asked about the owl house he was going to just sob. The creator really wanted to traumatize this boy hunter.

This confirmed that Belos’s brother was named Caleb and that Flapjack is Caleb’s palisman

Theory of mine
Vee could possibly suck the magic out of The Collector, that way they could defeat him in a more peaceful manner
Sending a kid (even if they are a literal god) back to another millennia in solitary confinement or killing him just wouldn't feel right, since, at their core, The Collector is a child motivated by loneliness- a yearning for family and friends to play with
If Vee were to render him powerless, they could finally be able to enjoy life as a regular kid
Also a quick little thought I had

Dana Terrace just released a post that the first 44minute episode special will be aired on Oct 18th! So, not too long to wait guys c':! However, this is the only episode Special that's airing in 2022, the others won't be out until next year~

The collector is affectively the closest thing they have to a deity when I first watched the episode I assume kings father sealed him because him and the Titan trappers were killing all the other Titans I would actually assume king‘s dad died sealing the collector away. I got chills when they let him out though he is on a level of power beyond anyone we’ve ever seen in the show it’s gonna be interesting to see what our characters can do other than appealing to his heart or having king somehow trap him again but when he has a WandaVision like rule over the world I don’t see how they could make it back over there and do anything against him
The ending is so emotional man... I can't wait for season 3 part one

This is such a great finale, I’ll never get over the fact that this show was canceled. At the very least we do get those 44 minute specials for season 3, I’d be more upset if Disney tried to end the show at season 2. On the other side of things, I feel really bad for him given what he just witnessed but hearing Hunter’s squeak when the collector showed up is a little funny to me. Poor kid he sounded like a scared cat, I know he’s bound to go through a lot more trauma but I want him to have more happy moments or a happy satisfying ending, he deserves it.

Not just in terms of five more mouths to feed, but Luz couldn't eat a lot of the foods in the Boiling Isles, so I wonder if there are Human foods that her friends can't eat. On the other hand, Vee's been doing just fine in the Human Realm, so maybe it won't be that big a deal.
Bright side, Gus gets to see authentic Human stuff in a Human environment. Maybe he'll even get to go to the zoo and see a giraffe!

There's prolly someone who already said this but as a wittebane obsessed guy belos actually said "caleb" instead of "kill him" when he saw flapjack. This was confirmed by the show creator dana terrace on twt. The subtitle is kinda wonky ngl but it *is* a really intense scene and it does sound like kill him so I don't really blame them.
Can't wait for thanks to them, I wish this show wasn't cancelled and got to do the actual story (fun fact: in the og script the collector doesn't exist) but I'm happy we got three specials.. There's too many shows that doesn't have the same luxury to finish their shows, it's still shit but here I come oct. 15!!

I think it's not just that he said he's going to keep them safe I think he told Adalia he is going to keep them safe and make them rich so it's You could argue she's trying to keep her family safe but I think it's more important that she is essentially willing to sacrifice everyone else in the boiling Isles for her family to come out on top
