I personally think he was the one exploring the isles, and Philip was in the human around, but he found out Caleb was traveling between the worlds and went to stop him. That’s when he discovered Caleb fell in love with a witch

I meant to say this in other reactions to it: Luz was already relatable to hundreds upon thousands of people in multiple aspects, but to me, similar to how Elijah (Not-So-Average Fangirl) interpreted it, that line bears massive significance not just with her being an adorkable nerd, but also with her being neurodivergent and bisexual. Not that many people understand those with mentalities like this or with sexualities different than what most are accustomed to, but people who undergo those traits shouldn’t feel scared. And I can just say, the imagery in Luz’s tearing face is emotionally wholesome. (I’M PUTTING CAPS LIKE THIS TO INFORM YOU HOW I MADE THIS COMMENT BEFORE A BOT USES IT)

It really is satisfying to watch. Think about it Belos started as this soft spoken and respected emperor and ruler who was always in control and now he’s been reduced to nothing more than a rampaging barely alive monster
Surprisingly, Mew was pretty damn close to what Luz's palisman turned out to be.

First of all- love the intro for this episode. I also love Raine's reaction to Eda's Harpy form, that i was theorizing ever since seeing the trailer.

Luz's reaction to seeing Kikimora again was spot-on lol. I also loved the collector in this episode- the last few frames he was in were terrifying ngl- the expressions and the lighting-

Ngl i was surprised Disney let some of the things into the episode- the bloody dagger and below legit melting away being some of them- but I think it makes the episode just a little bit more interesting if that makes sense? It adds a subtle nod to a slightly darker side to the show

oh the scene in the detention pit with hunter and willow? amazing. I feel like it was just so well done-
and eda and lilith's new looks are amazing. I gotta say, lilith's new look surprised me when i first saw the trailer for the episode but it grew on me
and the fact that hunter immediately went to summon his staff at 6:47 and then realized flapjack was gone- so heartbreaking
Finally someone noticed that Terra was wearing a hedgehog pelt as a wig.
19:55: you might be thinking of the Twilight Zone episode "It's a Good Life," which Owl House is definitely taking some inspiration from. Turning somebody into a jack-in-the-box is straight out of that episode, and sending people to the Archive has echoes of sending them "to the cornfield".
I think he meant the movie Brightburn (spoilers for the movie btw) where a baby with super powers from another planet comes to earth and gets adopted Superman style and all but he develops into a villain and starts a murder spree. Truly horrifying seeing a kid with such power and who can do whatever he wants because he can.

Seeing Belos finally haunted by his actions is actually quite satisfying. He's on his last few tricks.
Collector definitely seems like the neglected child according to the art lining the archive. Makes you feel for the little guy, I think once all is said and done he'll come around.
I didn't notice it the first time (specifically with Eda), but Eda and Lilith have been cleverly recreating the potions they take for the curse by using their own hair.
Perhaps the concoctions they usually have must contain an ingredient from the Owl Beast itself, which is like converting the poison into an antidote.
Although it makes me wonder now how and where they were getting the ingredients necessary to help Eda for so long. (And by they I mean Morton lol).
You need to take Belos’ EXISTENCE personally.

Things that give me a bad feeling;
-Raine and King's fate by the end of the last episode.
Things that make me hopeful;
-Haven't seen Bat Queen, Mama and Papa Clawthorne, Owlbert, Steve, Tinella Nosa (big nose demon) , and (surprisingly) Tibbles.
And I get the feeling they'll be some sort of "Wild Card" for the last episode that the gang needs to fight the last battle all out once more.
As Eda and Tibbles said, "This is when you bring out, the Wild Card." 👌🏽💯
just now hitting me how similar this was to gravity falls' finale, waves weirdness/sparkles, an all powerful chaos god, rich people siding with said chaos god, destroyed main character homes, people being turned into inanimate objects, and a three part finale, just to name a few.
Love the implication that the collectors already have burnt and reset the planet in the past. They torched the place so fucking hard that all titans (who are the most powerful beings on the planet) DIED, had life evolve on their bodies for what must have been *millions of years* and the water is STILL FUCKING BOILING.
Also, whatever sigil was engraved in the tower King hatched in that hides him from the collector was apparently strong enough to shield him from the scorching.
The movie you were thinking of is most likely bright burn. It's where a kid gets superman powers and does average kid things with them.
Say, i have had a thought about The Collector sort of somehow ending-up as Lumity’s Child, with Lumity simply just filling-in that kind of role for The Collector, until maybe becoming official when Lumity has grown-up? I don’t know, it was just a thought, what do you think about it?
Honestly, I would just like to see Luz and The Collector have some kind of close relationship with each other by end of it all, bonding over what they have in-common and maybe finally give him a actual Name, if he doesn’t already have one.

Something that Luz' Palisman reminds me of is a certain power system from another series, where a spirit b3comes a God's partner and weapon (and no, not Soul Eater).
According to their lore if a spirit takes the form of an object or weapon that is of a different era (such as a modern earring or western style clothing) the compatibility between the god and spirit is strong.
Perhaps Stringbean's rare and unique form denotes a similar compatibility to Luz, which is really cool, and proves she is worthy to live in the Demon Realm.
If feel like the 2nd special should have showed and been about what happend in the boiling iles while the kids were gone and the 3rd special could have actually been a movie being 1-2 hours long about when the kids arrive back to the boiling iles and stopping Belos and The Collector. So instead of hearing it was getting canceled we could hear it was getting a movie sequel! But I am happy that we even got a season 3 since we could have just gotten nothing

I really hope things doesn’t go too bad for The Collector, I think it would just be boring for him to just be treated as a full-on Villain.

What if Hooty is the author? The entire show is just some elaborate plan cooked up by the crew after going through everything and having a need to use time travel to make sure Luz makes it to the isles. They plant the door for Ida to find.
