Brad and Krista, just had to hop on and thank you both for this roll recipe. I’ve been making it regularly for the past 4-5 years and it is our family’s favorite. We also make your Amish Sweet bread and cinnamon rolls and honey whole wheat…they are all amazing. Thank you thank you thank you for great, real recipes!

WOW, I made these and they are wonderful, making another batch as we speak. Only change i made since i have wrist issues and can't knead, i used my bread machine on the dough cycle. I used quick rise yeast. These are truly the best.
I made these dinner rolls yesterday. My husband and I loved them. I've tried other recipes but the next day, the rolls are hard. This recipe gives you soft rolls that are as if you just made them! Do you have any cookbooks with your recipes in them? The relationship you both have is wonderful. My husband even watches your videos. Thank you so much!

Love this recipie- in the UK we have a similar roll, with a little less sugar, but esentialy the same. Called iced buns - the rolls are made into finger shapes and topped with water icing once baked. Brilliant sweet treat most of us had in school. Since using your bread recipes, I have stopped buying store-bought bread (less waste too) & have had lots of requests to make bread for others.
This makes me happy! An awesome roll recipe without using a mixer or bread machine is hard to come by. Thanks so much for sharing!

what i found helps my dough rise in a cold kitchen is to bring a small pan of water to a boil and set that in the closed oven.
So they grow inside the closed oven with boiling water? That actually a great idea!

Crista, your demo (and a great recipe) was the key to great bread for me. I haven't baked in years, then recently 'got a hankerin' for home baked rolls like mama made. I tried a couple of other recipes with meh results (even mana's recipe) but your video made the difference. Thank you. Out of this, I made a loaf and 9 rolls. Perfect for the two of us. I will be baking these again and again as well as trying your other recipes, for sure!

I literlly just took mine out of the oven and...OH....My....GOODNESS! Hands down the best rolls ive ever had in my life! I also took this recipe and split the dough and made the cinnamon roll recipe with the other half. This was perfect considering I only need to feed 2 people and this allows me to have the cinnamon rolls in the morinng and rolls for lunch and dinner. The recipe made 6 cinnmon rolls and 4 LARGE dinner rolls. Obsolutly esquisite recipe keep posting more cooking videos im obsessed!!

I Made these Earlier today and Oh Boy... They are TASTY...I Used AP Flour ( Thats all I had on Hand )The Name is Exactly Right.. Sweet and Easy... 1 Batch and it Made 28 rolls..

I am not much of a sweet eater so I assumed your "sweet and easy" was a figure of speech, these are really sweet. I do like them though and I will probably modify the recipe to reduce it's sweetness but everything else about them was what I was hoping for.
Damain XI I am making them now and reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup rather then the 2/3 cup.

Oh also I topped mine with some homemade honey butter! you should defianlty try making your own butter for your family, its super simple to make and whips in less than 7 minutes. Plus no icky nasty preservatives!

Just made my first successful homemade yeast rolls for my son with this easy recipe! Oh my, they are so good! Store bought never tasted this good. The only problem I have now is that I used your recipe for 9 and there are only 2 of us. I will have to take some around to the Auntie's to keep from eating it all.YUMYUMYUM
They freeze well I just put in zip lock bags when cold then pot in the freezer

omg I just made these and couldn't wait to try them hot and dipped them in butter lol. I put a bit of butter on top after they can out of oven as I cooked them a bit longer by mistake as I got distracted and forgot to set a timer. lol. but they taste awesome.

Wow. Perfectly simple no skill involved they look exactly as yours do (mine are never as pretty as the videos) very pretty very delicious. I'm gonna be the roll lady this Thanksgiving 😆 I cut the batch in half and did 12 normal sized rolls with that lol and they are still on the bigger side. I think for one of my Thanksgivings this year I'll do a full batch but make them into 32 rolls.. that should end up being the normal size of a store bought roll but obviously way better
