For Thanksgiving this year I got invited to a little elderly church couple for dinner. The husband asked if I would bring these rolls but he had a special request that I bring 8 dozen 🤣😂🤪

THANK YOU! EASY Dinner Roll Recipe
    4 cups warm water
1 and 1/3 cup sugar or can use honey
    3 tbsp dry active yeast
Half a cup of Butter or one Stick (can use olive oil or coconut oil)
    1 tbsp salt
10 to 12 cups flour (depending on Humidity in Air)
Pour 4 cups of really warm water into a bowl. Pour sugar into bowl with water and stir to dissolve.
Sprinkle 3 TBSP of yeast over the top of sugar water then whisk it just a little bit to get all yeast wet. Doesn’t all have to fall to the bottom and get saturated. NOW LET SIT for a couple mins(2). Yeast will get Activated.
Now that Yeast is bubbly add 5 cups of fluffed flour on top of bubbly yeast.
Add Salt on top of flour and Melted Butter then stir in with bread whisk till smooth.
Add 2 more cups of flour and stir in. Add 2 more cups of flour and stir in. Add in another 1 or 2 more cups flour. Will get very hard to mix with tool so use HAND to mix. Fold those last 2 cups of flour into dough with your hand. If the dough gets sticky add a little more flour to the top of the dough, not too much tho or it will turn into a Brick. Fold(Knead) dough on the counter when it gets really big. You want it to be smooth. About 11 cups of flour were used when she made it. It should be a touch sticky and should spring back up when pushing a finger into the dough.
Put into a Greased Bowl covered with plastic wrap and leave sit for an hour in a warm place.
Put flour dusting down on the counter and knock down dough then roll out onto the counter.
Put a dusting of flour on top of dough and knead just a little bit so it’s not sticky. This will Knock the air out of it.
Divide dough into 4 parts each (pound and half) Roll into a bread ball set aside. Put a plastic over the 3 of them on a greased sheet so they don’t dry out.
Break the dough ball into 12 pieces for 12 dinner rolls. Now tuck one piece under into a ball. Put into a greased glass pan. Leave 1 to 2 inches of space between them.
Put plastic wrap over them or a wet towel and Let them rise for 45 mins to an hour so they are doubled in size.
Now BAKE them for 20 to 25 mins in your oven at 350 degrees till they are Golden Brown on Top.
After baked Golden Brown, take out of pan and put on a cooling rack. This is the time where you can Butter the tops if you’d like. Stick back into the oven and bake for a few mins. Not Necessary tho.

Kneading more instead of adding more flour will produce a lighter product. I mix mine to a shaggy dough and let mine rest 30 minutes before adding more flour.

So I'm going to my besties in-laws for the first time for Turkey Day. I KNOW you're busy but I've been appointed to bring the dinner rolls and green bean casserole!! I'm a bread baker but have NEVER tried dinner rolls. I want to make some ahead of time so I know I've got them "down pat". Can you tell me if this dough is freezable?? As I've never frozen bread dough do you know if I need to let it do it's rising first?? Thanks so much in advance for this info!!

These are a tad too sweet for hamburgers or hot dogs (in my opinion). However I did just do a video on a great easy recipe for those...ruclips.net/video/QAA80x6rvvI/видео.html Happy Baking! Christa
