Yes you can press the +15 button or increase the minimum velocity value from what the default is.
I highly recommend sitting down with the PDF file and just spending a couple of hours trying everything out and thinking about how you will use it in the future.
I thought studio summer was just ok to begin with but I played around with the other day and it worked so well in a mix I might say it has potential to be the best.

Studio Drummer sounds great! The out of the groove box though...
I have Addictive Drums, EZ Drummer, Storm Drum 2 and Drum Core 3. I love all of them and find that they all fill different niches. I think I like AD & DC3 the best becaause of the sound, the natural sounding playing and the ability to tweak each drum in the program especially in AD. The loops are ok but most are to busy for my needs so I program my own loops. See my gripes below.
Can you tell me what is DC3 ? Another drum software? Thanks
@fladur my favorite 2 cymbals are from 1959 and 1960. They are both in amazing condition. Cymbals will last forever if you take care of them.
The one gripe I have with all these drum programs is they always have these exotic loops!! I would prefer some loops with straight ahead 2 & 4 loops with and without fills or any simple time signitures. I rarely need a super busy beat in 5/8 or 4/4 or 7/8 or whatever. These loops are supposed to aid the songwriter, but most songs require a simple straight forward groove to move the song along and for the most part they don't. I hope this changes soon. Please?

BTW, I run over all my new cymbals with a Hummer. It really beefs up the tone.

I've got the Reason Drum Kits 2.0 Refill for Reason but I think Studio Drummer is better. What are you think?

I just purchased studio drummer, there is a strange minimal but noticeable airy hiss that I am experiencing that layer over all the individual samples. They also have a harsh fall of like they just clip off
Any help is appreciate

I've noticed that when I put reverb on one kit, there's sometimes this very high frequency ring. I'm not sure if it's the reverb or the kit itself. But I don't think I've experienced a harsh falloff.
