Would love to make a review i make beats with akai..but love to make review of this beats ..so tell me can you manage to make a review of the machineplus
Hey can you plug two komplete audio 6’s in and use all the I/O?
So I have the maschine plus and everything is fine until we get to the actual audio. THERE IS NONE. It says I can use headphones but I still have no audio thru the headphones someone please help me
@Isaac Armani sounds like you’re a damn weirdo
Did you save the stuff from 2:50 somewhere. I know it's simple for him but it really blew my mind. Ordered my Maschine immediately. Can't wait for it to arrive
Bought a MK3 two months ago, knowing deep down another device would launch shortly thereafter. And here we are...
Scott Satchfield the mk3 is far better value for money.
Same here bro ... always happens like that. The mk3 value will drop as of today like a hookers panties
Mk 3 ram is limited only to your computers spec. The Mk3+, at just 4gb ram, is just limited. It should be at least 16gb ram - only then would I would even consider it.
They did the same to me with the studio and mk3
I got mk3 last month...but I think if they only add standalone feature I will not buy it cuz I will always use these controller with my labtop. Next device I want to buy is the kk s61 keyboard
Been dreaming of this since MK1
NI: Ok everybody what do you want improved on Maschine?
Us: PLEASE JUST GIVE US A DAMN TIMELINE TO WORK ON!! WE’VE BEEN ASKING FOR A DECADE!!
NI: ...A stand-alone version? Ok if you say so :))
Was it not standalone all this time?
Jean Nibard this. It’s amazing for getting a loop based groove going, but forget about trying to compose a linear song with dynamic changes. All we want is a timeline! The new “clips” feature is still missing the point imo
Jean Nibard it’s just hard because Maschine literally has the best pads on the market, as well as other amazing functions...if ableton could make a push “lite” that works more like a standard 16pad sampler I’d spend it all 😂
@@sebanrocks ya always needed a computer.
yeah a standalone without daw, not without pc. its our fault aww we didnt explain well our wish
I have both Mk3 and MPC Live. For my $1000+ I spent on the MPC, I have gotten all I needed and expected. Can't count how many times I've had to reinvest in NI because they dole out features with new hardware. I've already bought a Studio, upgraded to Mk3, invested in Jam and Komplete Ultimate. Now they drop a $1000+ new piece of gear that I of course I want, but can't justify buying for just standalone functionality. My MPC has been standalone forever and never once have I felt like I needed to throw another $1000+ at Akai. I love Maschine, but if there's no crossgrade/upgrade I'm more likely to divest.
How do you find MPC Live? I am just starting out with Ableton with a Novation Launchkey. Would like something standalone as well.
Agreed. I've been a maschine user for a bit and just made the switch to MPC one (of course right before this gets announced). I won't return it for the maschine+ though because it's half the price and can do basically all the same things. Using KitMaker (an extra $30) I was even able to port a bunch of maschine drum libraries over to the MPC for use in standalone mode. If I really want to use Kontakt or a more complex maschine kit, I'll just resample them in MPC, bring my mk3, or just bring my laptop with me. Definely not worth $1400 when theres a $700 option that will get you 90% of the way there.
You people dont get the point ... NI is a company and a company needs to make money.
People who already invested in NI are not making them extra money really.
They want new customers, and maybe even MPC users that were suckers for standalone devices.
All these Maschine upgrades are only costing them money to develop and expansions are not making them much revenue so they need to come out with new hardware from time to time.
So, the Maschine + is aimed at Mpc users, or users that are currently looking for a device and are not sure what to get.
Akai used to be the only one with a one stop solution but now NI has this new device.
Once more, loyal customers are not the most important, they already have their money, it’s the new customers that are important !
@@adamdykhouse5102 the mpc one sucks, has no arranger like maschine does. !!!! How to build up complete songs with the MPC in standalone mode?
@@lwpweb By using MPCs song mode. Although this is now more Limited since Maschine ist going to be able to place clips freely at the timeline.
I'm as big an NI fanboy as anyone can get... but there are a few things that aren't sitting well with me, regarding these first impressions of Maschine+:
1. The price. No way will people drop $1400 for a standalone Maschine (especially with millions of artists going broke because of this year and the pandemic), when you can buy a MK3 and a used quad-core Dell laptop with an SSD, 16gb of ram, and full HD display (Precision M4700) for a total of only $900. People have made videos of how they do a quasi-standalone MK3 with a custom stand and a hidden laptop with the lid closed (disabling "sleep" mode), underneath it. This is a great option, especially if...
2. There's no battery? None? Not even a port for a future installed battery of some sort? See number 1, above. A Dell laptop and the original MK3 can work without power for 3-4 hours easily. Just take your MK3, laptop, headphones and a short USB cable to the park, connect cable, close lid, and you're golden.
3. If there's no battery, people will go to the MPC Live 2, or stick with the highly-affordable MPC One... which is KILLING it these days. I used to not be an Akai person, but when they released MPC Beats, I got hooked on the workflow. I still think Maschine is better, across the board, but the MPC workflow is appealing. I think it was a wise move for them... and that immediately followed the release of MPC One... it didn't receive a ton of love at first, but people came around to it and now love the thing. Additionally, it can work with a battery bank and adapter.
4. I don't need a touchscreen, but a lot of people asked for one. What makes the MPC One appealing is the large amount of dedicated buttons (which the Live/Live2 does not have) as well as a touchscreen. Pads may be slightly smaller, but that's not a deal-breaker.
5. Lastly, people complained about MK3 not having a phantom power switch for condenser mics. This doesn't, either, so it seems....
I really dig all the Maschines I own (Studio, MK2, MK3, Mikro MK2, and JAM). But I don't think this is going to fly with a lot of people. Just reading through these comments, and the posts at the official Maschine forum... and seeing the amount of dislikes, already... I don't know. I just don't know.
What I like--- the (hopefully) improved encoders... the MK3 suffers from smooth to "too loose" encoders right out of the box (I returned two MK3s before hanging onto my main one-- which still has 3 loose encoders, and 5 good ones (been like that since day one)....
The main thing people want is the song mode, the arrangement improvements (the stuff that's coming, probably with the release of Maschine+). That's what we need most.
Just some food for thought! Still love the whole Maschine thing.
I could not have said it better. Well said!
@@jaunti Craziness! While we've been heard about a lot of things, we haven't been heard about a lot of things. Y'know?
chriscauldermusic I agree. As much as I love NI products, it has changed my life and perspective as a music creative but they’re seriously lacking ingenuity and innovation because, the only difference between the previous products and this one is the computer’s absence. Wish there was more effort on making the software more constructive than what it is now. I’ll stick to my Komplete Kontrol, MK3 and Mikro MK3. They do me just fine.
@@jaunti Absolutely.
chriscauldermusic they’re starting to become the “new” Apple. Jacking up the prices on new products with features that are supposedly “state-of-the-art” to them but the chances are slim to none for the customers. It is what it is, I guess 🤷🏾♂️
Wow...can’t wait to see more!
more of what the same thing its a ripoff its for the kids who wanna showoff fot ghere weird friends its garbage
2 days ago I went to guitar center and Sam Ashe and they were sold out of MK3.

Amazing update, stylish and modern. Really in time with the release during everyone is trying to produce own stuff.
Wow… 1,400 USD That is two MPC Ones ._.
Ok cool. Now update the software like we all been crying about.
That is the main thing we want. That is what we have wanted for at least 6 years.
chriscauldermusic it just doesn’t make any sense to me anymore.
What’s wrong with the software? I have no issues with it.
@@filmerdennis The lack of a proper arranger. We've been asking/begging for years. It IS coming... but with the release of this.

Bought the AKAI MPC Live II three weeks ago and I love it.
What's funny is I used to fantasise on how to redesign the MK3 for a standalone. I used to always come back to the original design of the MK3 with new internals and that's exactly what you guys have done a great job. The MK3 was quite good looking anyway.
Standalone maschine long awaited
I think $899.99 would be fair... $1399.99 is just to much, for what it is. I can dig NI really did step up and give us a STAND ALONE!
Yeah, I'd get a $800 laptop and Maschine MK3 (or maybe the Mini MK3) and would have better bang for the buck. I do like the stand alone concept a lot, but honestly I think even the MK3 is hugely overpriced at (around) $649. It's barely worth half of that.
Similar price as the Op-1 (which many also consider overpriced) this is way more expansive though. I like the idea of starting a beat away from the studio and bringing it back to a daw to finalize.
Totally agree on the price. I have a used $250 Dell Precision M4700 laptop with 16gb ram, full HD display, SSD... Maschine MK3... I disable sleep mode, close my lid and I have a standalone Maschine that runs on battery power for about 4 hours, with 75% charge. Total cost: $850 (when MK3 used to be $600, not $650). Everything I need, one place.
LOL... the Maschine studio was more than that and didn't have an audio interface builtin.
@@DopamineOverload Sounds smart
The fact that they priced this close to what you can buy an MPCX for is just mind blowing. I couldn't imagine not putting a few more hundred dollars down for an MPCX over this.
Very cool walkthrough 👌🏼
Great standalone hardware, way to go NI Team!
Imma wait just incase they build a maschine studio standalone
Im waiting for the micro +
There BOTH coming and so is the komplete kontrol they did the same bs with maschine studio then released mk3 (Which btw they completely shitting on all of us maschine studio users for mk3 users in terms of functionality and it constantly changing as well) then they dropped KK49 mk2 then the MK3 Mikro and so on.... Maschine studio, Maschine Mikro, Komplete kontrol ALL will be standalone and released SADLY before Maschine 3.0 ............
@@EliteOnTheBeat komplete kontrol keyboard will be stand alone ?id rather get that . You can use the whole komplete ultimate in standalone

@@ftj4441 there are people who want the daw inside maschine and for whom that's what standalone means.
@@ftj4441 i know what it means. now the same word can mean different things to different people i guess,, but if you can only create loops and no songs and you need a computer to create songs at least you should have some basic. sympathy for what it means *to me* and, judging by comments, to a lot of other people. Maschine needs to do a few things with their daw software, including make the piano roll easier to see and put the DAW in the Maschine Plus
Einfach nur Traumhaft ! 😍
this looks pretty awesome
This looks like it has some hug potential as a live performance tool, which frankly the electronic music world is screaming out for. I'm into it.
Fred again? Looks like you predicted it, he has been using this as a live performance tool
Great to see NI expanding to standalone universe for some good competition which will result in better products overall. However the price seems totally ridiculous. I paid $1700 for Akai MPC X new, and for $400 extra, feature wise it is incomparable. 8 CV outs / 2 XLR mic preamps with +48V (+ 2 switchable HI-Z line front inputs) + 2 line inputs or switchable Phono inputs / 4 MIDI outs & 2 MIDI in / huge touchscreen / 16 Q-link pots with LED screens and so on....
Love it!

This is great! But I think you missed an opportunity with not making it battery powered.

I was ready to purchase this online before I watched this. I kid you not; my credit card is sitting next to me on my desk. But this demonstration is so overwhelming and confusing to me, I'm running away.
about dang time!
HELL YEAH!! For people traveling and for live setups - this is GOLD. Props to the engineering team !! :)
Ignore all the naysayers here. Maschine definitely has a number of flaws, and the software is surely in need of improvement. But if you take the effort to learn to use the system, the workflow is amazing once you get into it, as it is! This new Maschine looks like exactly the right next step.
If only NI would offer a special upgrade price for existing users of Machine and Komplete!
Very nice, but… what about multi-MIDI and CV/Gate?
This things pretty much meant to play Komplete stuff. Aint a lot of room for ext modular gear in that universe.
Akai MPC X or MPC Live 2...
That's a Beast!
Good on ya mate x thank you for sharing
Its amazing they keep ignoring the real problem which is the Software functionality itself! The Piano Roll Screen is so tiny you need Glasses to see during extended studio hours.
love maschine but ya the piano roll could be improved
for me
I don’t understand why no one has copied fl studio. It’s piano roll has been king for decades. I wish that piano roll was the industry standard. I hate using fl studio but it’s ease of access and ideas does it for me.
facts thats why i went akai
LA Konfidential they need to just let FL studio be the software
One thing at a time. But you’re right. The piano roll is trash. I know they started off hardware focused but to be a complete daw you have to be flexible. Make it easy to click on melodies when you feel like using your mouse.
I knew this was coming. Thought it’d be a little bigger, but 👋.
Very Nice !
As I have a mk1, a mk3, an a49, massive x, komplete etc. and a ton of expansions, can I just have one please? It will be happy with me.
Dreams do come true.
Thank you for the demonstration .Would this eventually facilitate other NI plugins like Arkhis ,Massive X ,Pharlight or third party Kontakt instruments ? This seems to be a good application and the right blend of hardware processing software instruments .
Nice video thorough and concise You make me definitely have to get one

For the price of Maschine and a computer you can have Maschine + : a standalone Maschine with an integrated less powerful computer inside
Such a dumb product.
@@Digiphex I wouldn't say it's a dumb product, but it's more about the price tag. 300$ less would be ok.
But the idea in itself is great, it's always good to have less computer on a setup to focus more on performance and people. I hope they'll take the same direction with their DJ stuff (without the big price rise) :)

The MPC one is a nice piece of kit ...
I totally agree, the price is extremely high.I own an mpc one and I think it's a logical thought for everyone.
Agree; they screwed up on this one. Typical NI...they don't do proper market research. They have the right idea...but need more beef under the hood for that price -- especially when an iPad has more horse power.
Hahaha the mpc one is so bad, I bought it and returned it within a week. Super cheap plastic everything about it was cheap af haha no time stretching like native
NPC007 true on the time stretching but personally I have never really time stretched so that’s a mute point for me, I do mainly electronic music with recorded synths or softsynths. I use it to create drum patterns with one hit samples. As for the cheap plastic, I’m ok with that. I’m not hitting people in the head with it, it would chill with me in my studio or couch or whatever. The thing is, for $1400 I still have to bounce everything into ableton just so I can do something as basic as automation between patterns/scenes so I rather do that for $700 instead. I’ve been using maschine since mk1 and I keep upgrading because of the promise that it might be a one stop shop one day where I could finish a track with it. I think I’m done with it. The MPC one I can do most everything I need that the maschine does from my couch without having a laptop tether to it and then finish in ableton as always.
Why no touch capabilities when it comes at this price point? Would have made arranging and moving events way more easy. The MPC One has this at almost half the price. And again: Volume knobs on the back ☹️!!! Can we finally record mutes via Automation, nooooo!!!!
Thumbs up for the clip function, though 👌!!!
think the touch screen would make it much worse to control. I'm personally glad they did not go this path and stayed with knobs and pads as the tactility is one of the important features on a real instrument
jan twentyfortysix with Touch you can choose and have both ! Now you dont have that option.
Be honest, naming a file is crap with just knobs and cursors. Same as adding or removing or replacing notes.
Touch certainly has its advantages and can be much much quicker in certain cases.
Dont like it ? You use the exisiting knobs and cursor control like on the MPC.
@@Roomer645 Agree with you 100% on this one 👌! Give users both options.
Sergio Casino agreed, we are in a touch screen world it would be nice to have the option.
@@Roomer645 i still do not agree, touch screen is a horrible interface. It feels bad under the fingers and many things can get small quick, plus you cannot control it if you do not have sufficient lighting (on stage or during a day) more over you cover the information and it surroundings with your fingers, the position of what you control can change. It is just wrong, no matter that it is current trend. The real buttons and knobs are always where they are and that is super powerful on its own. Replace the strings on guitar with screen and will see how well you perform.
Great beast of machineplus ...soon ill make a review of my beats on the machineplus so stay tunned

@@Longjohngolden Yup, most of the expansions that come with Maschine.
Why couldn't you have just added a battery, especially at that price point.

Only one pair of outs, no battery, plus a $1400 price tag is a no for me, dawg.
No Battery defeats the purpose for me. I wanna be able to sit anywhere with this thing and no strings attached.
@Dallon Ghan plus, can you imagine how many issues there will be to sync this up with software. For this price you can buy a decent computer, which by default wins over this thing with features.
Only 2 outputs?
@@angelesk9382 only 1 stereo pair, yes.
@Jayo Delaware And this is ....what, this is not a computer? It has quad processor, RAM, motherboard, storage. This is a computer, buddy. It just has screen on the device. If you want to go old school, then get Akai S2500 and an analogue synth, buy a mixer, buy tons of effects, processors, other synths and sound sources. Then buy a tape recorder. Then go see how much that costs you. I loved working with tape, and no screen. It is different workflow. But expensive and tedious one at that. I am building my studio for years, adding pieces of equipment when i have a budget.
I wasn’t sold on this at first, but after thinking about the possibilities and the new level of intimacy with the music making. Hardware that I can make a Komplete composition with and then easily transfer it to my computer for final touches. I placed my order- I am so excited for this.
Best hardware offering on the market!
How you finding it?
@@ricflomusicthe things that are great about it are really great. Thr workflow is supreme.
I don't think they put enough work into computer integration for hardware projects, you're basically just navigating the SD directory to find your projects- would have been cool if you could have just plugged it in and loaded songs.
Also, after I bought it I immediately felt drawn to Renoise.
Had some good jams with it. As a hardware box, its got an impressive amount of sounds/possibilities.
I think the NI libraries are the main selling point more than the samples
@@RP-mp4ow Thanks for the info, I'm currently new to producing and actually want to step away from computer screens so I got an SP404 a couple years ago but beyond fx making beats doesn't full initiative.
After watching Freg Again boiler room set and other sources, I got a big feeling Maschine+ is what I need to double down on and I will be set for a long time before I question the computer integration.. hopefully. Nice one.
@@ricflomusic it really depends. Would you prefer to be completely separated from the computer? Or maybe you can just get a really long USB cable? If you have Komplete, you'll have more libraries with a mk3.
When you want to actually output your track, you'll have to dig through the directory to find your project- i think it would be easier to have the project in the computer
@@RP-mp4ow mk3 has been recommended. Just that my 9-5 is on the computer so I just want separation. I like djing with controllers in a similar way but love the idea of portability and playing live with it only when I get to that level

It's good and stable my friend has one and he has had no issues but if this has a battery... game changer
MPC smokes this thing :)
This is the final nail in the coffin for NI with me.....
this is an interesting idea to take maschine out of the studio/laptop, but there are other things I'd like to see - like better intersection/integration with DAWs like Logic. Especially considering many maschine users have a stronger computer than what's in this box. I (still) have a hard time moving from Maschine into a proper DAW to finish (arrange, mix, master) a track. Which moves me into the next big issue - maschine still doesn't seem to have addressed how to make a real track in Maschine vs. loops/beats. Ideas/song is a good start, but... not there yet. I don't need another computer - I need a better integrated experience with the rest of the ecosystem. Sadly this won't earn a pre-order purchase. I hope it's good enough for NI that they can get back to the roots of helping us make and finish songs more in the creative moment (which this does help with, but i quickly get to back to can't finish a track in maschine). Currently I have to come out of creative mode to think about how I get a beat into a DAW to make a proper track. I ❤️ maschine for making beats, but sadly I have not been able to easily integrate into my workflow with Logic. I'm probably the minority but the experience isn't there for me yet.
Yeah I def don't think you're a minority. Maschine fan since MK1 but also since MK1 I've dreaded the process of tediously exporting all of my patterns and then arranging in a different DAW. Such a buzz kill
I don't think you are the minority.
You say the new arrangement and clip thing has been released and already accessible in the software? Where is it I can’t really see anything about this anywhere.
looks noce!!!
Please let us connect Maschine Jam directly into Maschine+.
There are usb ports at the back so you can connect other NI hardware like Komplete Kontrol keyboards
Jay Que The Jam could control the sequencer, clips and idea mode. So it is more than notes. Having the Jam connected directly to Maschine+ would make it powerful for composing and still portable.
Jay Que yeah sure but will it Run Komplet also ? With that 32GB storage you can hardly fit any decent Komplet library.
Then you would have to install it partly on SD card .
Sergio Casino There's no standalone that can compete with the capacity and power of a current desktop. NI knows that and this is designed to be standalone, which means compromises have been added. It’s not clear yet how complete the Kontakt port will be. So it may only run sample sets that are specifically compatible. We'll see. Also not clear if SSDs can be connected to USB ports. If so, that would give you the storage for large sample sets but this is where the 4g ram might be more of a limitation. I imagine Kontakt Instruments would have to have a smaller footprint, like the play series, to work well on this standalone device. I can't imagine the Symphonic series chugging along on 4gigs ram.
@@jkq2006 question is: if it will play you intend to do.
I want to know how you use your expansion packs in stand alone mode. Will you be able to put them on the internal or extra storage, as card, via Native access?
Or komplete??
Most likely on the internal flash but thats just 32GB and when you turn the device on for the 1st time it only has like 18GB free due to the OS, maschine and massive software, 8GB standard library and what not.
Expansions max it out really really fast and the included 64GB SD is a nice touch but with the avid NI user its a matter of 1 day of downloads of previously purchased expansions and its full. Komplet is the same thing and even worse so your looking at probably a high capacity 512GB or 1TB (very expensive).
Ofcourse you could probably connect an usb SSD but it defeats the purpose of standalone if you constantly need to connect (and take along) extra devices.
The internal storage should have been 256GB which would have sufficient for 95% of the users. Right now i am sure that with the NI software the 32GB is NOT enough for 95% !
My studio situation has all my NI stuff on my 2TB SSD on my laptop. To my knowledge you can't have it registered in 2 different places right? So i would have to unregister my stuff and put it on an external? That's what it's seeming like.
@@SiriusLeeMusic I thought about that too but I'm sure it will come with Komplete selection or whatever it's called.
@@Roomer645 My thoughts exactly. Need to add a HIGH capacity SD Card. All my expansions are on an external SSD now so if I had to duplicate that, I'd be ok with it. SSD capacity is pretty cheap these days. I just picked up an internal 500GB drive for less than $85. Small, lightweight. No real inconvenience.
Wow 🤩 😊😊😊
Gotta say the aesthetic looks dope as hell
1400 for plastic garbage smh
This is frustrating because NI is trying to get everyone to use their software, but for my personal needs and musical style I rely on some boutique VSTs and Ableton, which this won't support. You were so close NI
what should they have done? Build ableton into the device? if you prefer ableton, push is your goto, isnt it?
yeah push2 is great that would do it, nothing is perfect,is it gonna be useful to you for the money thats all you need to ask
It's meant to be standalone with other gear. If you're just looking for a controller for Ableton then push 2 is the answer
@@HenningSprang Well ideally a standalone controller should be DAW agnostic and support VSTs.
@@tony_ypnar vst's are OS specific - most are built to run on mac or win some run on linux. It might be possible to support the Linux ones, as I heard M+ is based on that. the other ones might be difficult, even though i read there are libraries that promise to make mac/win vst plugins run on Linux, I assume it's difficult. I have rarely heard of Hardware that can run VST plugins, and no current standalone device in this price range does it, obviously so far nobody bought these things in the past, so why should a company invest in trying this one more time?
So I see the CPU meter hovering around 63 - 69% for the demo track (which doesn't have much going on). Is this just due to unoptimized software or are the standalone limits going to be hit pretty quickly?
This is my exact trepidation or I'd be a pre-order customer. My [2019 16GB i7] laptop has trouble/hiccups after 7+ tracks with few EFX running and the sample rate low.
Its still a beta. Once properly compiled expect a pretty big difference
@@ShroomJesus Useless for yourself...
looks very very cool, nice video too.
Thank you very much!
I love you, NI! And, I love Maschine! Immediately pre-ordered.
really lol sad for u fhis is garbage i would cancel that order
KGX Beats just watched the music on your channel; you are definitely an expert on “garbage”!

Can the Ram be upgraded?
great question, but i think its integrated
Nope
Maschine+ MKII dropping in November 2020. I'd wait.
seriously?
Speculation or facts?
I'm ready for the DAW improvements for my MK3. I'll probably get a future + iteration, but not this particular version.
it doesn't need a computer because it's a computer by itself...very attractive , looks super cool
This will make the limitations of the Maschine software even more evident, especially given the absence of a touch screen and not being able to use computer (in stand-alone mode). Why not just make Maschine and Plugin instruments/fx for iPad and use that attached to hardware controller without screen?
Never understood that in all these years they never took advantage of the Ipad.
They could reach a huge new market as many many people have an ipad.
Sergio Casino my dream machine would be ipad as brain with maschine like controller
@@supremelc3667 Exactly !! Being able to hook up the machine controller and everything would be done on the iPad.
That's portable, powefull, secure and piracy would be a thing of the past.
Probably too logical for NI.
I hate to say this, but sometimes it is because, money.
Please tell me that you improved the quality of the Endless Pots !?
Are they finally keep the same resistance longer than just a few month ?
And keep working without parameter jumps more then 3 Years ?
Agree. I have tried so many Maschine and every time the encoders are loose, tight, all over the map. Please fix this NI!
Christopher Edmondson So, they become worse and worse after time ? Any solutions to that ?
the exact same reason my once beloved mk2 is now shelved. no proper solution for years. moreover, NI support refused sharing a slightest bit of info about the encoders. I dont have authorized NI service out here, and you dont want to help me fix my shit in any way. alright then, bye bye NI
@@plrplm Sell it and get a new one. Be honest with the potential buyers in your ad description. You'll get something for it. Then use that money to offset the price of a new one. Why keep it on a shelf?
they not fixing shiy
Friends, I think we're missing what they're trying to do here.. We aren't supposed to take this out in the middle of the park somewhere and make beats like the battery-powered OP-1 or 404. This is so we can ditch our computer (which I couldn't be more ready to do). I hate taking my computer out to shows or on the road. This is like taking out a real synthesizer instead of a midi controller. I've used the Maschine MK2 for years and always wished I could stay in the Maschine workflow without relying on my laptop and maxing out my CPU. Idk, I feel like this is a great solution for my own workflow at least. Thanks for letting me ditch the laptop NI!
The peoblem is there is a competitors device that does both with more options for less money
Could see this getting used for live performance. Curious if they'll put out a Komplete Kontrol version of this...
Totally been waiting for them to release a standalone komplete kontrol keyboard that could sync up with maschine +. I only have a Maschine MK3, but I'm considering selling the MK3 and taking the cash I make from the sell and pay the difference to get Maschine +.
I don’t see amy reason to upgrade to the Maschine + when I already own the Mk3 , Studio and Mk1, because I use with the Komplete instruments, yes I can connect to my computer and use with my software instruments true, but to pay twice as much as the Mk3 just so I can play in stand alone mode with a sequencer I rarely use and lack of touch screen is a major fail for me, I have gotten use to my akai mpc x, and live ll touch screen as well as my Korg kronons, Roland fantom 6 and yamaha montage all touch screen. Imho what native instruments needs to get back in the game is a komplete kontrol standalone with maschine pads and all of the komplete software and effects all included in in the New Komplete Kontrol workstation, with a large 8” touch screen and touch knobs and mixer sliders, then you will have a powerhouse.
THIS RIGHT HERE: what native instruments needs to get back in the game is a komplete kontrol standalone with maschine pads and all of the komplete software and effects all included in in the New Komplete Kontrol workstation, with a large 8” touch screen and touch knobs and mixer sliders, then you will have a powerhouse.
Donald Richardson Word!!
Even without the drum pads this would be a beast!
It's not for me either, but people have been crying out for standalone Maschine since MK1. So the market is definitely there, it's just not us.
@@teacee With all that s%^^& (Kronos, Fantom 6, x and live II), why the f^$$ are you even considering Maschine +??? Your channel says you are a production artist or some s^$$. No music on your channel. Where is your music posted? Im curious. It better be good.
And the million-dollar question is: “Will NI eventually port all their synths and fx to this platform and if yes, will you have to pay for them again if you already own Komplete Ultimate”?
They will needa much bigger internal Hard Drive vs the 32gb one in this model. I think a 1TB SSD would be ideal and 16GB Ram
Yeah good luck getting them to do that with the current specs. Maybe for the Maschine+ Mk 3
@@cockur yeah, my nukbers are a bit ambitious and unrealistic but it would be cool
Can one stream samples off the internal drive or the SD cards? Or does the unit solely function using the 4Gb Ram? I am assuming there is no streaming of samples... just like the Akai units.
It’s a beast
Who's ready for the software version to get even fewer updates? 'Cause that's what's going to happen.
lol. Exactly, as cool as the new hardware it is if i cant automate tempo, time signatures, suppoort vst3 or have real time stretching in sampler mode then I am sticking with ableton until they do.
Nope, they will come with version 3.0 and will make previous users pay for it ! Like they did with V2.0 and the loyal maschine mk1 users that had to pay an extra 100 dollars to get the functionality that they needed to have from the get go.
Mark my words !
The new Maschine+ users will get the upgrade for free ....
@@Roomer645 You know charging for major software updates is very common right? Most of the major DAWs charge for software updates. Even a few VSTs charge for updates, like Omnisphere. It's something to complain about but it's a standard. And who knows, they have different leadership now there's a chance the philosophy has changed on that matter. But $100 for a software update is truly on the low end of the price scale compared to other companies.
It's going to be running the same software there's not two versions of the software here.
That will be available as a subscription model.
For this price...I'd rather a laptop
You should more verbs with you. (:
Well good luck with Windows 10 when inspiration strikes and the laptop don’t want to let you.

Sadly, this device is defined more by its limitations than new capabilities.
Limitations make hardware good.
Tu Maldita Madre how does that make any sense? When you are making music, do you think its okay to feel limited by technology?
@@TuMalditaMadre Unfortunately, this is not 1994 anymore, so as much as we are enamoured by the SP-1200 or the MPC3000, there is little excuse for hardware limitations in 2020.
@@EternalFiresky To be fair, limitations bring another sort of creativity, and it is a some sort of challenge to yourself to be limited by tech.
It feels like the same exact MK3 except with some onboard processing.. for double the price.. I’ll stick with my MK3 and hope they update the software soon (like they’ve been promising..)
It will work with Maschine Jam?
That’s my question also
Our focus is on supporting the current portfolio of products where we can be sure to provide an optimum experience. Support for MASCHINE Jam is not planned at this time as we are focused on features for the broader user-base.
@@NativeInstruments He mentioned features already accessible in the latest update released, we have yet to see this update.
When will it be released?
@@NativeInstruments thanks for the answer, I mean if the Jam will work chained with the + as a complement, as it normally does.
