If they'd only actually UPDATE the bloody thing properly. There are hundreds of workflow niggles that have been requested for years now.. still just crickets from NI. So yeah, I have no idea what the heck you are going on about. NI is just deflecting here. It's a dead product as far as I can tell.. and the horrible flop of Maschine+ only made it worse.
The more I used Maschine, the more I came to understand it sensibly. This video turned my boring understanding of specs into a creative activity. Boris, you are the best!🔥❤
I'm a big fan of Maschine! And I feel so inspired every time I see these videos. I am currently doing everything on Maschine without an additional DAW, and it's been fun! 🙂
Here's some words of advice to anyone with a new Maschine, watch these kinda tutorials, (and there are literally dozens and dozens out there, Doug from "The Sound Test Room" has some nice ones!) And watch them , if possible , while using your Maschine, it's one of the best ways, I've found, to totally implement and then ultimately remember the knowledge!! Have fun with it , God knows you spent the cash!

It would be great if we could also get an in depth tutorial on how to mix and master the final track on the Maschine itself. It would be super useful for those who plan to buy the Maschine MK3 or the Maschine + and are looking forward to producing the entire track in it without exporting the stems to other DAWs.
Bush league question: Can Patterns and Scenes' trigger states be adjusted like with Ableton Clip Mode. I want to select the next Pattern or Scene in a performance, and let it kick in when the current Pattern or Scene finishes playing out. Any suggestions or fixes? Anybody? TY in advance!

This was great thank you. This video makes sense to produce at this time. With so many grumbles from current Maschine users that there have been no significant updates, this can renew your faith and help you explore what you have not known was possible. Veteran users may have already known these tips but those wanting to get into the NI Maschine environment can now see that there are cool things that can be done if you are willing to delve into it. Im pretty certain a major update is on its way. Seeing as the new Komplete Keyboards do not or have limited Maschine integration this can mean that NI can possibly move in a more focused manner where Maschine is concerned.
This thing needs an update. It could be the final groovebox if only they Will bring the ability to sound design on the m+ standalone and an improved step seq with probabilities and such

Maschine (+) really has a lot of hidden useful features! I was still hoping for update news for the same hardware like the complete Kontakt 7 Factory library and Play Series for Maschine +, rendering a pattern to audio with a button instead of the mouse, audiowarping incl. audionquantizing like in Ableton and more DAW features.

You guys made this video instead of updating the damn software? Great. Thanks. We still can't automate tempo or time signature within our projects & the audio module still causes problems in standalone mode with Maschine+. We also still don't have round robin sampling?! No pad/loop hold? etc.
You came close here to a clear and complete explanation of how to use the input and output sockets and what is required in terms of routing internally for different scenarios. I took my Maschine plus on holiday and I tried to play in some location recordings over cable from my phone to the sampler. I just couldn't get any audio in spite of hours spent searching for what to do. I think the basic explanation of audio routing input left and input right how to get that into the sampler detect mode would be a good place to begin. I just couldn't get it to work.

I got a used Mikro mk2 and just got the license software this week and these drums hit hard. Got the Ultimate 14 and that came with tons of expansions.
Thank you. Maschine MK3 is my favorite tool right now, after playing with many hardware boxes, Elektrons... If I could wish something, it would be nice if it would also support MIDI effect plugins, e.g. for some generative stuff, then switching patterns for a group over MIDI, and an individual record arm per group feature... also nice if I could still hit a pad if the sequence playing for it is muted, as another option for mute (audio, sequence, playing).
This! Please. The hardware is fine. Love it. But, the updates are needed on the software side. I would rather stay in the machine software rather that record the audio files into logic to finish up with automation. I would love to have Machine become a more full daw with more features so I don’t have to leave it.

We have a lot of competition out there and our coach is leading us to fail…. Please update machine. We need visual EQ’s, gross beat like features and many more…. Great Video and inspiring! Can we please see a current Maschine MK3 video showing Intrigation with different DAWs (especially MIDI)? And with the Keyboard controllers (ex.M32). The changes in technology have made the integration process more complex. While it's still possible to integrate with some additional steps, it would be fantastic to see this process simplified in future updates. Thanks Boris.

Whenever (over the years ) the usual machine doubts get louder an louder, there comes a ligth and some hope through you that the way of The Machine will continue. I still love my MK3 and Jam combo for jamming and making my sound carpets sketches. I have one wish… for the next round: The integration of a fader port (i.e. an external mixer (with motor fader)) into the machine. I use it in my DAW if I want to continue. Because when it comes to a whole track/mixing, you can't make it in maschine …at the moment ;-). But that's old old hat. I do the real arrangement with Studio One. It's a shame, because I actually don't want that and my way of music doesn't need it. I want to make and combine a lot of good sketches and not paint perfect paintings. Still having problems to use an external hardware synth in maschine … loosing the midi connection? Old problem. Keep it up… When can I order MK4 ;-) JL
NI, can you guys partner with image-line to make Maschine and FL studio work together like butter? When I use Maschine as a plugin in FL it’s a nightmare. I know this is not many people’s workflow but it would be nice to see a collaboration between my two favorite companies.
Hi there, it's not possible to automate the master level of the track at the moment. Also, it's best to use a DAW's multi-track recording capabilities.

I been using logicpro X; Luna(UAD) and Maschine 2, back and forth together oh boy NI Maschine 2 is absolutely a masterpiece with software-hardware integration since audio recording and the new clip editing mode is possible making a very fast secductive workflow. the only downside to make it fast you need to creat your own template project, or groupe user special for real instruments audio, en vocal, cause the setup is a bite long but when you creat group user then is going very fast, the design of software is amazing as well. I think native need to creat more group template and project template pre-made with effects/side chains, as well for the masterbus template for different styles and genre of music, with better integration of iZotope software. NI got everything to make the best DAW and workflow ever, with an integration keyboard Kontrol MK3 will be killer, c'mon NI you can do it seriously!!! don't disappoint us again please.... so I can't wait for the new uptade of Maschine2 or even better Maschine3. and a new Maschine MK4 hardware with crazy and game changer add and update
LoooooooL I have my Maschine on my shelf and there is a table light near it. Had to try the Vegas Mode :D Hooked up the usb-cable to the light, pressed the four buttons and On. Works perfectly and looks very very cool on the shelf. It actually looks very "inviting". If you decide to update it, make it so that IF you hit a pad, it would send a ripple of light.

On the first tip can I use keyboard mode on all the pads running the instrument off one plug in ? And can you add individual effects to each pad ? Trying this after work

Hi there, it's not possible to draw Program Change events inside Maschine+ right now. You can however set up Program Changes in Maschine software, save the project and open it in a standalone mode.
Can you explain more about programming midi inside maschine to change scenes. I can do it by running maschine inside another daw as a vst but wondering if it can be done in just maschine alone. So you can do a live performance using a midi controller to change scenes and record the midi notes to sequence.

Yep, and a polyphonic step sequencer please. But I think sound design with synths won't happen on Plus, I cannot imagine implementation of that.

Great Video and inspiring! Can we please see a current Maschine MK3 video showing Intrigation with different DAWs (especially MIDI)? And with the Keyboard controllers (ex.M32). The changes in technology have made the integration process more complex. While it's still possible to integrate with some additional steps, it would be fantastic to see this process simplified in future updates. Thanks Boris.

How good it feels that something is happening, that you r keep on doing that.
Whenever (over the years ) the usual machine doubts get louder an louder, there comes a ligth and some hope through you that the way of The Machine will continue. I still love my MK3 and Jam combo for jamming and making my sound carpets sketches.
I have one wish… for the next round: The integration of a fader port (i.e. an external mixer (with motor fader)) into the machine. I use it in my DAW if I want to continue. Because when it comes to a whole track/mixing, you can't make it in maschine …at the moment ;-). But that's old old hat. I do the real arrangement with Studio One. It's a shame, because I actually don't want that and my way of music doesn't need it. I want to make and combine a lot of good sketches and not paint perfect paintings.
Still having problems to use an external hardware synth in maschine … loosing the midi connection? Old problem.
Keep it up… When can I order MK4 ;-)

NI, can you guys partner with image-line to make Maschine and FL studio work together like butter? When I use Maschine as a plugin in FL it’s a nightmare. I know this is not many people’s workflow but it would be nice to see a collaboration between my two favorite companies.

Hi there, it's not possible to automate the master level of the track at the moment. Also, it's best to use a DAW's multi-track recording capabilities.
@NativeInstruments @TheJgraham12345 Since you can have almost an unlimited amount of groups, the Best "Workaround" is to route ALL GROUPS to a "MASTER GROUP", Treat it like The MASTER and there you can fully automate,

I been using logicpro X; Luna(UAD) and Maschine 2, back and forth together oh boy NI Maschine 2 is absolutely a masterpiece with software-hardware integration since audio recording and the new clip editing mode is possible making a very fast secductive workflow. the only downside to make it fast you need to creat your own template project, or groupe user special for real instruments audio, en vocal, cause the setup is a bite long but when you creat group user then is going very fast, the design of software is amazing as well. I think native need to creat more group template and project template pre-made with effects/side chains, as well for the masterbus template for different styles and genre of music, with better integration of iZotope software. NI got everything to make the best DAW and workflow ever, with an integration keyboard Kontrol MK3 will be killer, c'mon NI you can do it seriously!!! don't disappoint us again please....
so I can't wait for the new uptade of Maschine2 or even better Maschine3. and a new Maschine MK4 hardware with crazy and game changer add and update
LoooooooL I have my Maschine on my shelf and there is a table light near it. Had to try the Vegas Mode :D Hooked up the usb-cable to the light, pressed the four buttons and On. Works perfectly and looks very very cool on the shelf. It actually looks very "inviting". If you decide to update it, make it so that IF you hit a pad, it would send a ripple of light.
Now that's a cool feature

On the first tip can I use keyboard mode on all the pads running the instrument off one plug in ? And can you add individual effects to each pad ? Trying this after work
Can we just put the massive in to the pad and play it with keyboard mode in particular scale?

Hi there, it's not possible to draw Program Change events inside Maschine+ right now. You can however set up Program Changes in Maschine software, save the project and open it in a standalone mode.

Can you explain more about programming midi inside maschine to change scenes. I can do it by running maschine inside another daw as a vst but wondering if it can be done in just maschine alone. So you can do a live performance using a midi controller to change scenes and record the midi notes to sequence.
