    Hi,
    There is a group on Facebook called F1 10th Circuit UK where we discuss all things F1 RC it may be worth joining as there is plenty of us that can provide help/opinion.
    F1 is a difficult class to master

    Are the speedos sensored or sensorless? You’ll get gogging low down if they are sensorless.

    We have a group of us that have social F1 get togethers in a car park track on tarmac. You would be better off running a sensored motor, we run 21.5 motors. It usually takes newby’s several sessions before they get the hang of them. They spin out under acceleration and have high speed understeer. We turn brake strength down to stop them spinning out under brakes . But IMHO nothing improves your driving like regular F1 sessions.

    You can also get tyre additive to make them more grippy. With additive you could play with under & oversteer by painting different amounts of the front/back tyre width. Foams might be better in cold weather also?

    • @RCKickschannel

      Foams are so much better in the cold conditions. I was also running my Fantom and that stuck like glue.

    Gav, in F1 aero is the whole package, they need the bodyshells. Also kinda hesitant to judge them driving around on a normal full sized paved road. Those usually have undulations and gradients built into them. Put em on a track my friend.

    • @RCKickschannel
      @RCKickschannel  3 года назад +1

      Yes I agree the cars need the bodies but this was just a chassis shakedown to make sure the cars actually run with no fundamental issues. Bodies will come.

    Both chasiis' look fantastic! And as someone else mentioned, if the motors/ESC's are sensorless then that would explain the cogging, not the pinion gear. Sensorless systems do tend to 'cog' unfortunately. Looking forward to seeing them both running to their full potential!!

    • @RCKickschannel
      @RCKickschannel  3 года назад +1

      Yep it was good fun. Just a shakedown to make sure the cars actually run and nothing is too out of whack but it was only minimal power due to location and especially conditions. Bloody cold lol. I’m a big F1 fan so the tyre warmers look like a cool addition.

  • @Luke-en2tk
    @Luke-en2tk 3 года назад

    They are probably the hardest race class to drive with them being very narrow and having no proper suspension, other than side cars that is, don't go there 😂. Setting the ball diff is a crucial setting especially in low traction. You don't actually brake a lot in this class if you do it's usually to get the front end turned in as they do understeer a lot. Are you using a sensored system?

    • @RCKickschannel
      @RCKickschannel  3 года назад

      I think I will tighten the diffs a bit more. These are not sensors motors.

    • @Luke-en2tk
      @Luke-en2tk 3 года назад +1

      @@RCKickschannel you usually want it looser if it's struggling under acceleration. I think you will struggle with running a sensorless system, Hobbywing do their Justock ESC which is very popular in stock racing.

      Hi Bill, I can't really say as I have never had a F104. I love my F201 and I would recommend that to an F1 fan as it does look like an F1 car under the body. The ICON & FP1 are full track focused cars so its more about performance than chassis F1 realism.
