You have to remember that Band Maid is more than a metal band, they are really their own genre, taking different themes, elements and motifs that are familiar (rock, metal, pop, punk, progressive, etc) and putting their own stamp on the music they make. A genius collaboration of five really talented musicians.
Band-Maid is mostly Hard Rock but they do have some metal sounding tunes ! I think y'all would like "From Now On" MV and the "Blooming" MV Both have killer solos =) Thanks Guys Great Reaction✌🤘🔥🔥🔥
One unusual thing about Band- Maid is that new (or for that matter, older but new-to-a-recently-minted fan) songs that fans didn't like at first become favorites really often. There is a LOT to discover in every song, and with 120+ it can take months or even years. Meanwhile you can still rock out to what hits you immediately 😊
Guys, I’m not sure what else you’re listening to but I don’t know if there is a more exciting bass player on the planet than Misa of Band-Maid. And I’m an old school John Entwistle, Chris Squire, Geddy Lee and Les Claypool fan…she’s in their company, plain and simple. So, you can’t stop at 3 songs from the Maids to appreciate all 5 of them and understand how comprehensively exceptional this band is. Not sure what you’ve heard but next I’d recommend an online live they did during the pandemic to get a better sense of their range (even though it’s just a fraction of their expression)… - “Manners / Black Hole” - official live video The more you hear from them, you start to understand how they practically burned the Lalapalooza stage to the ground last weekend with the heat from their performance 😂 Enjoy the journey, take care and rock on 🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🎼😎✌🏼
Guys, If you really want to see how Band Maid sounds live, pull up the Band Maid performance at Lollapolooza, especially the Dice/Hate back-to-back songs fromHulu.
To help you understand the lyrics (where they mention "Shura"), this song is the ending song for the Japanese anime show, Kengan Ashura (Season 2). Band-Maid is their own genre. They can pull off pop punk and then swing the other direction skirting the line between rock and metal. Mostly residing in the prog something category, but they don't fit into any one genre of rock. This is great heavy B-M and I'm glad you liked this one. Great reaction. How about Black Hole, After Life, From Now On, Warning and Unleash. ぽ
If you liked this one, you will like FROM NOW ON, PUZZLE (official live), PLAY (live), SECRET MY LIPS, MORATORIUM (live), I STILL SEEK REVENGE (audio only), HATE? (audio only), BLACK HOLE (live), WARNING, and BLOOMING (one of their very best).
Thanks for checking this out. I think where the Japanese bands are really off the charts is the depth of talent at bass and drums. It's easy to get swept away by the guitarists (as Lovebites have done to you guys) but the biggest WOR is in the rhythm sections, as you'll see when you check out bands like Gacharic Spin and Nemophila. And MISA is considered by many as the best of the lot at bass.
For me you can do just about any Band-Maid. If you only like the hard and fast though, I suggest, Different, No God, Puzzle, Black Hole. But they have some fantastic bluesy rock stuff too, Manners, Dragon Cries. My first and still a top one for me is their Pop Punk song Dice.
Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid. So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘 Thx, Guys!
We generally prefer heavier music and if I recall we weren’t overly blown away by the two previous tracks we reacted to from them. This song is more in line with the kind of metal we like.
@@metalheadsjourney Dragon, or Gila Monster. KGLW. You'll probably thank me later. And Band-Maid can go pretty hard but they are mostly a good time hard rock band like acdc.
I'm surprised. The last two reactions were Domination and Rinne. I can understand Domination maybe, but Rinne is one of their heaviest songs. And they seemed to love it. At least that was my impression after watching their reaction again. Maybe something changed? IDK. Maybe they had second opinions after listening to it off camera. But if they liked Shambles cause it was heavy, thinking Rinne sounds "pop punky" seems strange. ぽ
With there being 3 other guys besides me it’s always hard for me to remember how much everyone liked something 😂. I’m the top left guy and I usually like most of what we listen to but I don’t always speak for the other guys haha.
@@metalheadsjourney I would like to know what Band-Maid did that was so wrong that it required a redemption for the upper right guy. Missed their golden opportunity to make it right for him, he says. A shame that. Meanwhile, despite the lack of a headbanging halftime section, this video is setting records for Band-Maid, with over 600,000 views in ten days.

re: "BLACK HOLE": dark, mind-bending insanity or...feel-good concert closer sing-along romp? Yep, they can somehow make it work both ways.

Try some of these Band-Maid bangers: Rinne, Warning, Blooming, Don’t You Tell Me (live version), Secret My Lips, From Now On, Onset, Unleash.
