Their latest video release " Don't You Tell Me " live from Yokohama HAS to be the one you do next - you'll understand why when you watch it - and I guarantee you won't be disappointed ! 😉
As much as we all love Misa.......If you really listen.....Akane's drumming absolutely stole the show on this one. The double kick work is off the charts and the speed of her fills is lighting fast. And listen how she gets out of the way during Misa's solo....... A masterful performance !!!!!!!!
Misa and the entire band are great, but if you're not picking up on Akane's insanely great drums here, you weren't really listening to the song. She's god-tier on this song.
If you guys want to see MISA's pick to slap technique visually, you should watch the "NO GOD" live music video on the official page. There are two official live music videos for "NO GOD," so watch the older one that was released. This one was released during the pandemic, so it is a live performance without audience released via online streaming, but as far as I know, it is the video that shows MISA's technique most clearly in close-up.
Do "Don't You Tell Me" (Live), their latest MV teaser from the Yokohama 10th Anniversary show, which will be released Mar 27, 2024 on Bluray/DVD, Po! I think there is a little bit of the bass going down in that MV, Po! 🦍🍌
NO GOD live has a slap and pop bass solo that will blow your socks off, I'm not lying. If you listen to any of the online acoustic set you'll see her finger picking, or you can watch ABOUT US for combo playing. If you watch ONSET live you can actually see her switch from pick to pop and slap during her solo if you pay close attention. Just remember, without any of the parts it wouldn't be Band Maid.
Thanks guys, great reaction and it seems like you've been captured by an 810 year old evil pigeon's devious strategy of dominating the world with unbelievably superior hard rock music while disguised as cute maids. Shambles is the 2rd season closing song for a Netflix anime series "Kengan Ashura", a brutal fight anime, started on Sept. 21st. If you like bass, don't sleep on their latest live release 'Don't you tell me" from their Nov. 2023 final concert of their 10 year anniversary tour.
I suggest these Band Maid songs: Thrill, Dice, Manners, Bubble, Blooming, Influencer, No God (live), Puzzle (live), Don't You Tell Me (live) & Onset (live) BTW - Band Maid and The Warning are big fans of each other
You haven't done their latest upload DON'T YOU TELL ME-LIVE with an awesome Kanami/MISA conversation. Also on the ONSET-LIVE video you'll see a MISA closeup from pick to slap. Also uploaded today on BAND-MAID PRIME (but you gotta pay to play) is the aforementioned conversation only recreated in studio. Peace. 6.26
6:48 - Here you go, you best believe the BM awesomeness continues below: Freedom (2020 live) Don't You Tell Me (2023 Yokohama) Onset (2020 Official) Dice & Hate? (2023 Lollapalooza) Blooming (MV) Also the makers of the Japanese anime show (on Netflix), Kengan Ashura, asked BAND-MAID to create a Season 2 outro credits song and Shambles was the result.
Manners / Black Hole live next gets my vote, 2 very different songs. Manners is a groovy, bluesy, jazzy tune and Black Hole is sheer madness. Lots of bass goodness to keep you happy.
You can't go wrong with Band Maid! I highly recommend you check out Lovebites, We the United from Knockin' on Heaven's Gate 2. Live performance. Put on your seatbelts.
Since you like the Bass, "Onset" live from their RUclips channel is a MUST. Watch Misa in her feature as she tucks up her pick. And it's not just what Misa does - the song is yet again another top tier banger ... an it's an instrumental where they ALL get a chance to shine. These guys will keep you busy for many months to come.
Guys, you need to jump to their most recent release. "Don't You Tell ME" (one of their older songs), the official LIVE video, is out on the Band Maid channel on RUclips. If you love Misa's bass, you will love her "conversation" with Kanami on the video.
3:16 "they are not messing around." Yep, that pretty much sums up Band-Maid. *"Manners / Black Hole"* from a covid-era live stream. It's missing the crowd interaction but it's a good example of their range. The first song is old school groovy rock and roll (with MISA providing the groove). The other song is not. It's not messing around, either. Yeah, you're not going to get a group of Band-Maid fans to agree on which song is "best." Reddit polls will have maybe 60 songs mentioned and the top vote-getter will be under 10%. It's truly remarkable. There are _so many_ really excellent songs from this band.
I'm on board with any of them. Don't you tell me from Yokohama would be a good one. In reality you can really pick any one of their songs. They are that good.
Gentlemen, if you want to hear Kanami go totally 1986 guitar hero you need to check out the mv Blooming. Total shred solo that will absolutely blow you away.
Shambles is the closing song for anime , Kengan Ashura , its an anime about fighters , its on netflix . next a two for one video , Manners / Black Hole .
Jimmy page saw these ladies live several years ago and got his picture taken with Akane (the drummer). He said she was the closest thing to John Bonham he had ever seen.
If by any chance you’ve never heard Mike Dawes cover of Jump by VH, you should really consider reacting to that. As engineers and musicians yourselves it’ll leave you stunned.
CHOOSE ME. They had a cameo in the movie Kate (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and that's the song that they were playing. Oh, that song is also in Peacemaker (John Cena)
Hey guys! Band Maid released a brand new live video this morning with the song "HATE!" Yokohama Arena version. You guys got to react to it next, it has one of the most epic bass and guitar solos ever!!! Since I know how much you love your bass:)
"About Us" live ruclips.net/video/qicgVAxCYV8/видео.html with finger plucking on the bass. "Onset" live with Misa switching between picking and slapping at lightning speed. And something obscure, their cover of Memories of Wind and Wine (Dawn Winery Theme) from the Genshin Impact Concert 2022. They were one of the bands invited to cover music from the Genshin Impact online-game. The tune is based on the old song "Greensleeves" and you have Misa playing lead on the bass in the 1st part. ruclips.net/video/-M2EYvqeTdI/видео.html The maids knew what they had in Misa, their 1st MV Thrill has a short bass solo. She switched from a 4 to a 5 string bass she felt it worked better for Band-Maid's music. She finger plucks on some of the slower songs but usually uses a pick. And just about everybody comments on how good her tone is. And finally, yes, "Don't You Tell Me" live from Yokohoma is a must.
Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid. So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘Thx, Two Crazy Guys!
Suggestion for next reaction. a three for one shot of older live vids to see how great they were even back then. Remember Live vids... - Real Existence - Secret My Lips - Non-Fiction Days
Do all of the songs from the Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and ZEPP 2018 concerts. (found on bili and elsewhere) They are all HOT as a supernova! 🌟 Thx, Guys!
@@ericifune5543 That's the best plan, Eric. And one that I use to fully support. But the more who see these two great concerts, the more fans Band-Maid will have. And IMO, Band-Maid should have ten times the amount of YT Subs they currently have. Look at The Warning. They are highly visible allowing access to most of their content. And they are growing much faster than the Maids. Band-Maid needs all the help they can get to grow at a clip that will allow them to reach a success level necessary to control their own destiny. Band-Maid mgmt. should release both these concerts. I'll bet the BD/DVD sales for Shinkiba and ZEPP are very low, if at all. So it's a trade-off -- continued restriction vs exposure of their older, great material. Most people have never heard of Clang, Fate, and dozen of other songs. That's a marketing misstep, imo. Thx, Eric!
Another great one! Got a suggestion for a band. They're only a few years old, yet all their stuff is great. You should give Holy Wars a try. The last few months they did three videos, I think you'd really like their Deus Ex Machna song. They're on RUclips if you need to find music videos. Again: Holy Wars. That's my suggestion. 🤘😝🤘
I know you guys heard the panning on the vocals, but I couldn't. For some reason the music through your channel is coming over Mono here. What happened to the Stereo? Years ago the LIVE version of 'Don't You Tell ME' was pulled from RUclips ahead of a DVD release. It had, and still has, the ultimate bass and guitar Call & Response "Battle". Now it can only be seen on the Chinese site Bilibili. The 9th song in the Zepp Tokyo LIVE concert. They kind of brought it back for Lollapalooza, but it wasn't quite there and was overshadowed by the one in 'Hate?' LIVE. Well, the brought it back for the Yokohama 10th Anniversary Tour Finale and it'as almost as good. You should check it out next.
You should check they Lollapalooza show last year the songs Dice &Hate...bass& guitar duelle just I say 😉 Another banger the song Corralium live/find the video here on YT the chanel: Instrumental Maid 😉Werry technically song 😉.Just a suggestion if you want joy for every day you should make a each day Maid 😉They have too many songs and I can't find any bad one's 😊 Another thing they just give you new stuff almost every month.Another suggestions check they oldies as well including side project Band Maiko the full album it's a hidden treasure and you can find they YT chanel. Some oldie suggestions what probably you just can find some fan made video one of my favorites:You and Matchless gum, Decided by myself, Unfair game, Arcadia girl,Hide&sick,... Because you are a bass player I think one of your favorite will be from the fenomenal album 'Unseen world 'the song "Still sick revenge" Absolutely Misa song 😉 Well enjoy discovering this talented band !Peace

Misa and the entire band are great, but if you're not picking up on Akane's insanely great drums here, you weren't really listening to the song. She's god-tier on this song.

There’s that one section where she does a fill like every 3 seconds. 🦍🍌
She is a machine.
Happy smasher!
If you want to see a clear shot of MISA's BASS TECHNIQUE, you have to watch ONSET- Official Live Video.
Agree....and you can see it excellent in domination live....which they already reviewed and missed
@@BMfaninTN When they do get around to reacting to ONSET, I'll wager they play it back at least 3x. What say you?
Blooming is a masterpiece with multiple solos!
I was just going to suggest the same song. Kanami goes wild

BLOOMING! MV! Thanks fellas!
Yes BLOOMING MV

Do "Don't You Tell Me" (Live), their latest MV teaser from the Yokohama 10th Anniversary show, which will be released Mar 27, 2024 on Bluray/DVD, Po! I think there is a little bit of the bass going down in that MV, Po! 🦍🍌
