Been going for ten years. Worth taking a look at their live stuff on YT. When people say they are good. They really are that good. Forget about reactors who just react to get numbers. People like Drummer here knows what they are talking about and you will find musicians genuinely love the band.
Greetings from Germany and welcome aboard! Get ready for a great journey, because these ladies know how to rock! 🔥🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Forever!"_ 」 - from *BAND-MAID* - 'Manners' 🎶🕊
I think you hit the nail on the head about consistency. I think there are very few bands that can nail writing consistently great songs, and continuing to grow and improve over time; especially in the rock genre. Sure some songs are better than others, but you can't deny they are all great songs nonetheless. Some bands get stagnant and lose their drive. These bands don't. They keep improving, trying new things and getting more explorative with their sound, yet still holding to their foundation. Bands like Rush or Tool come to mind for me. Band-Maid is one of those bands. ぽ
Excellent song breakdown and great comments! Thanks for the big screen and thinking about your viewers as Band-Maid deserves to be seen in their entirety. Band-Maid's amazing song "Shambles" will be featured as the season 2 ending song of the popular brawling manga serial "Kengan Ashura." The song's lyrics alludes to the dynamic actions occurring in the show which will be broadcast on Netflix starting September 21st. Cheers!
What differentiates Band-Maid from other "rock/metal/punk whatever" bands existing today and/or having existed in the past is that the major song writers/arrangers in the band, i.e. Mincho, MISA, and Ahchan, all READ and WRITE musical scores. They do so because they ware educated that way, and it is nothing special to them. And, this fact, I think, helps them build or construct their music with very high precision.
"Band-Maid just dropped a new song. Immediately I don't care about anything else". You, sir, are a man who has sorted your priorities well. Edit: The entire Band-Maid concert at Lollapalooza can (still) be found on RUclips (Hulu streamed the whole gig live and good fans have shared it (until "someone" may strike it down) - so see it while you can.
And if you're short on time, at least catch the no- holds- barred version of "Hate?" starting at 42 : 57 complete with a MISA-Kanami battle in the middle
Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid. So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘 Thx, Robb!
If you love a band this much, cut that rope holding you back and go to one of their concerts. Who knows when you'll have another chance? Whatever you think is huge enough to stop you just might not be. Fly, take a bus, drive, borrow money, find a way to get to see them in the US this month.
I would but I'm already going to Babymetal next month. The wallet is plenty tight and I'm not one to dig an unnecessary debt hole. One of these days they'll be back in the area and I'll make it
damb ive never heard of this band that was some 🔥🔥🔥 music, also gotta give a gold star 🌟 for those maid outfits.

I love seeing different kinds of musicians react to Band-Maid and notice some of the details that say a regular person would notice

As a drummer I've got my bias but I'm never going to be daft enough to ignore that a band isn't a band without everyone's effort 🤘
AKANE's drum FIRE🔥‼️
Fast and Flawless!

Country is too big and my wallets too shallow. Gotta know months in advance and they'll need to be close enough to drive 🥲
Good luck to any Air Drummers out there with Akane...lol
