My favorites part of this song was the lead and back-up vocals...... and the bass.....and the rhythm guitar.....and the drums..... and the guitar work.
The new improv they do for that song is amazing. It was my favorite off the EP and I always thought it was a strong song. I can't even imagine what improv they are going to do at Yokohama Arena🤯
Appreciate your reactions from a musician/fan perspective. They are really their own genre, taking elements from other familiar genres and putting their own stamp on the song. Five terrifically talented ladies - BAND MAID!!!!!
The Maids are at their heart a progressive band, but when they rock they are at their best IMO. Kanami is a rock girl. She can write killer hard rock that all at once is very classic but still completely new. And with the absolute talent in the band it hits like a wrecking ball every time.

what i've heard people replay this about twenty times the first day
I asked myself the same questions after the release of World Domination in 2018. How do they top this? Can they top this? Never underestimate the Band-Maid!
Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid. So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘 Thx, Chris & Sam!
A thing about the maid outfits, Chris: as Fans and Maidiacs know, Miku -- the 2nd guitarist, lyricist, founder and who worked at a maid cafe -- wanted to show that everyday working "Kawaii" girls dressed as maids in high heels while having fun and smiling could rock as hard as any guy band sweating it up in their hip, poor tortured artists "outfits"... and by showing that contrast (the Gap), it would generate interest, which it so successfully has done! It also represents Woman Power (Equality), which is an important theme with the Maids. Now they show up as Maids for all band business and interviews, etc. and have created a long-lasting, unmistakable, visual band brand. Very cleaver, Miku. Your diabolical plan for world domination is working, Po! Of course, none of this would work if their music and stage performance wasn't at such a remarkably high level. Band-Maid is considered by many of their fans and Maidiacs to be the best hard rock band in the world - maid outfits and all!
Hey you guys... You must react to band maid the song Hate? live in Chicago Lollapaloza 2023. It is simply fenomenal... the girls really break it down. Please do it... Greetings from Brazil
Initially, there were some people that were disappointed with Shambles (not me). I believe it's their second fastest to reach 500k views on YT and for me anyway it's one of their best songs.
Kanami write complicated stuff. Feels like Black Hole, they are playing different stuff at the same time. And in sync. I am not sure I have heard any other rock band that do that so good.
Great review! Actually their new release before this was the ballad "Memorable" - a love letter to their fans. (After "Memorable" they did release live versions of "Sense", "Puzzle" and "No God" but they were older songs).
I didn’t care for this at first. The muffled riff is the opposite of what usually catches my ear. I love hearing articulation and punch. Kanami’s guitar is buried. And you got it instantly!? The riff reminds me of “Slither” from Velvet Revolver. Apparently my ears aren’t what they used to be, because all I’m reading is how awesome this song is. Maybe it’s a grower? Band Maid has a bunch of songs that took me a while to get behind. This will likely be another. Still, I wonder what someone like Mutt Lange Brendan O’Brien, or Rick Rubin would do?
With all the resistance they got from having Tony Visconti produce "The Dragon Cries" I wonder too. But Kanami seems like a very perceptive and inquisitive person, and having somebody like Rick Rubin produce their record would be such a learning experience. He seems like a producer that doesn't come in with preconceived ideas. He doesn't try to change a band's sound to fit his preferences but instead hones what the band already sounds like. Since they already sound pretty distinctive it would be very very interesting. Any of those guys, actually ...
Hate? and Shambles my two favorite Band Maid songs at the moment. I can't believe early on people were commenting that this song (Shambles) was disjointed. I think their hearing is disjointed...
Band Maid are simply a cut above ...
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! "Push the Envelope Like a Fierce Tiger"
My favorites part of this song was the lead and back-up vocals...... and the bass.....and the rhythm guitar.....and the drums..... and the guitar work.
🤘😛🤘
You forgot Saiki's breath...
Same!!! How odd.
you need to listen to this live. it sounds even better.
They made the level of the song higher and higher. Band Maid level up !
Name another band where all 5 members are equally known and equally loved. Usually it's the singer and guitarist. I absolutely love the Maids.
They don´t write songs. They maniacally craft small multifaceted pieces of art intricately complex and at the same time surprisingly catchy.
I don‘t know how often I‘ve listend to this song in the last 10 days, but at least 5 times every day. My new favorite Band-Maid song!
Hope you guys will react to their HATE? performance from lollapalooza

Can't think why but your reaction to this brings to mind the phrase " Kids in a candy store " ! 😂😉
Exemplifies how great they are.

This band is soooo good! The arrangements are complex, but they have such great hooks you never get lost. I HAVE to see them live.
Just saw my 1st live Band-Maid. Affordable tickets. Best show I have ever seen. Gotta see!
Saw them last night in Spokane. They mentioned the song and that we need to watch it many, many, many times. It was amazing. To hear them play live.
Controlled chaos by our Maids. Best band on the planet.
Maid excellence 👍 Still waiting for the 'Onset' era 😁
love your excitement for band maid... rock on!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 they make your face melt ...they should be big right now
Getting there!
10 years in the making banger after banger

Enjoyed guys, you should give "From Now On" a listen, their most recent instrumental. IT will be another track that you love.

This song was written for the brutal martial arts anime "Kengan Ashura"'s second season. It's the closing credits theme.
Seems like they are constantly touring in the US. They must enjoy it.
So fellas did you like it 😂😂 what a fcken band Viva the Maids Po 👍🎼🥁🎸🎤🍻
“It was so good! You wanna play it a second time?”
Dont mind if i do…😂
This is definitely some of their best work, and it gives me hope for the future of music!
This song will be used as the end credits of season 2 of a netflix anime. Still excellent though!

Thx for your reaction and to Band-Maid for their music. 🤙
This song is a bit similar to their old song SHAKE THAT(more heavy) check this song too...
Initially, there were some people that were disappointed with Shambles (not me). I believe it's their second fastest to reach 500k views on YT and for me anyway it's one of their best songs.
Who are these lunatics that you speak of?
Kanami said that the room was indeed on fire for those scenes and quite hot.
No matter how many times they shoot, they do not miss!
Thanks gents. Beautiful rock drumming!
G'day gents! Look, I'll just thumbs up before we start... no doubt in my mind that you'll be jammin' to this one.
Akane went full Gorilla mode on this one left me in shambles haha😮
A couple older songs that rock are "Freezer" and "Shake That" IMO
Let me add Arcadia Girl from the same album.
Metall Maid 🤘🤘🤘

What was "Memorable" about again? I forget.🤭
@@GaryHolloway-810maybe it was About Us? 😬😜
@@GaryHolloway-810 It was about how they miss coming to London to see Gary. Or something...
@@kent-oveprestberg3578 Yes that sounds plausible to me.😁
Until the Maids come back to the UK & we see them I'll have to miss me for them.😔
Thanks guys ! I've watched many reactions for SHAMBLES...Yours is one of the best ! 🔥

The live version of Hate? from Lolopalooza is so much fun!
@@stand.and.deliver.5 Definitely a top tier performance!
A Commie? It's Akane.
😁
10:58 - "You've lost the ability to even"
Love the Babylon Bee Elon Musk/Twitter Takeover reference! 😂😂😂
STRIKE ONE: Never ever pause a Kanami Guitar solo to rave above a Drum roll that Akane already did like 5 times before NOT COOL MAN
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
