And this was just Kanami’s first try. And Warning has never thought about having that much instrumentation. Give them about five more songs together and you have a mini-EP for the ages.
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo back in June where they live debuted this song Also caught the premiere of this video this morning. Nice to get to read the lyrics on this one Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too!
@@martinbuber9416 I don't think it was longer, just arranged a bit differently. Bith drummers plated the whole time except at one point when they traded licks kind of salutingbeach other. It was not like a completion at all, but a celebration of their talent.
Band Maid is one of the few bands that features a bass lead by MISA regularly in their songs. They regularly have guitar bass duals in their songs with a couple of recent live videos from their 10th Anniversary Tour at Yokohama: "Hate" and "Don't You Tell Me" both about 11/2 min long.
The biggest discovery in this collab - while touring Japan, Dani discovered Spicy Ramen, Po! Now, the Spanish version, por favor, Pou! Arigatou, Po! 🦍🍌FYI, in a PRS Japan interview with Dani and Kanami, they eluded to a CDMX collab (2025?) with The Warning taking the lead. Dani challenged Kanami that they should write and sing a Spanish lyric'd song, Po! 🇲🇽
Be prepared to be jealous! I was at the show in Japan when they debuted this song. It was better live, even thiugh this was great. Oh, by the way, i dont see it as dueling instruments, but that V they were collaborating with partners for the good of the song. There was no shiwboating in this arrangenent, just excellent musicianship, IMHO.
The great thing about this collab is that both bands retained their own "sound" and created a great song that combined their styles. Although I have to admit, I think Band Maid are more technical in their playing.
Yeah, if want bass solos, BAND-MAID is the band for you!! Misa is an absolute beast on her 5 strings. She plays barefoot live and is known as the “Barefoot Assassin”. 😂 Check out - “Hate?” - official live video - “Don’t You Tell ME” - official live video - “No God” - official live video - “Influencer” - OMV That’ll get you started. There are some special “White Room” instrumentals where she goes off, too. Take care and rock on! 🤘🏼🌍🔥🎸🥁🎤🎼🇯🇵🇲🇽😎✌🏼
There are some great live clips of The Warning if you can still find them from Wacken(Six feet deep) and some from Pol'land Rocks festival In the Poland ones Ale's bass stands out
Agree that it would be great if the breakdown “duels” had been longer, especially because their respective styles of playing (bass, guitar solos, drums) are so different. 😎👍
FYI: This was largely written by Kanami (Band-Maid's lead guitar player and freaken genius composer and arranger) and recoded basically while The Warning was on tour in Japan, so ... as a first attempt, with what were probably huge time constraints ... well, I'll take it ;-) I haven't heard a lot of The Warning, but what I have heard they are good straight up standard rock, very tight, and talented, with the gift of 'family vocals', but Band-Maid are just a level or two above in terms of musical instruments & musical composition ... that said, some people prefer The Warning, and I can't shit on them for that ... I like Band-Maid more than I do say "Lovebites", and I have no problem admitting that Lovebites are technically better technicians on their instruments .... but just as some people think Band-Maid is too 'flashy for flash sake' and prefer the simplier style of The Warning, I prefer Band-Maid because most metal, to me is 5 minutes of 'scale practice' ... impressive, but not very interesting (same think I say about most jazz ... fun to play, but listening to it is a chore! ;-)
Remember the all female music festival called Lilith Fair? I'd love to see that concept today and into the future but with just these bad ass rock and metal female bands. Including Nemophila, Gacharic Spin, etc. Would you be down for that?
My friends: DarWin, The Warning and 3 super Bands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was hoping Pau and Miku would have a singing part together. Maybe there is a longer "director's cut" for this song released later on. Probably not, but fingers crossed.
Pro Tip - Stop the video when talking. Some of your mic levels are so low that it is just noise relative to the playback audio level. A good song, but not great. A fun collaboration, no doubt.
I agree with You, this is a Good song, but in my opinion The Warning and Band-maid have better songs than this one. But by the Warning standards, this is an OK song. Love both Bands, but The Warning is my favorite.
Hot Take................bro,,, GTFOH. I'm glad for both bands, and appreciate their appreciation of each other. And it's a good song. But they each --- on their own --- wipe that song up. I think it was strategically created for Air Play in North America and the UK. Salute to them both. And a noogie to you, for saying such things.
Hello, for me it's a fine song, not a great song. This is a Band Maid song and if you listen closely, I notice that BM probably made sure that their solo parts stood out a little more. But it's not about who is better, it's more about mutual respect and the fun that both bands had. And that's ultimately what it's all about.
Totally agree. This is a GOOD song, made for Band-Maid to shine. Im a The Warning fan and was waiting to hear Ale´s bass and more of Pau´s Drums, but it was a great colab. Will go back to listen to the Pol´and´rock concert again.
Truth. I noticed that and went back and counted the close-in cameo shots of each guitar player, I counted 42 of BM and only 18 of TW. So your observation is correct in not only the actual solo length and exposure, but the total number
It sounded like a bandmaid song with TW playing along. Maybe Dani struggled at that range…she’s more natural and octave lower. Pity Ale’s riff was drown out. Dani had fun, the others were backing support….sorry…just my perspective.
Dani struggled? What video did see that! The live version I saw, it was the other singer who had trouble, you could clearly hear she passed a luggie on her part.
The Warning has way better songs than this one, and Band-Maid as well. So I think you should watch the 2 last The Warning Concerts, like Wacken adn Pol´and´rock.
They met at Aftershock in 2022, became instant Besties, and the rest is history...or future....🕊️⚡
🍺😁
And this was just Kanami’s first try. And Warning has never thought about having that much instrumentation. Give them about five more songs together and you have a mini-EP for the ages.
Great collab between two GIANTS of the genre!...Dany and Saiki sound great together.
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo back in June where they live debuted this song

Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too!
I was there too! I cried when they played this. The aggectuon they have fur one another! Sigh
Was the live version longer with more solos?

I was there too! Energy was great!!
If you haven’t listened to the Keep Me Fed album by the Warning, check out Sharks…. They are opening mosh pits to it live
Best rock colab I’ve ever seen ,,..it should win awards for the production and mastery of.

I was at the show in Japan. It was incredible.
Po indeed!!! If I got the bucks and time I would be there!

The guy at the top left "What are you smoking?"
Baand-Maid and The Warning are the new "Power Couple" in rock!!!!!!!!
The great thing about this collab is that both bands retained their own "sound" and created a great song that combined their styles. Although I have to admit, I think Band Maid are more technical in their playing.

I’m not sure if my favorite of either band lol. But it’s a great collab regardless

It’s a great song, but BAND-MAID have 120 other songs you haven’t heard yet.
The 2 things most accurately that you’ve said is: more secs would be awesome and a whole album would be fenomenal!
An extended mix with an epic ending to the song would be incredible to hear !
🎀 W I N W I N !!!!!!!⚡Thx, M-Heads.

That’s a super hot take but you are right the song is super fun and the “duel” part was ecstasy
They need pau pau to sing!
I was hoping Pau and Miku would have a singing part together. Maybe there is a longer "director's cut" for this song released later on. Probably not, but fingers crossed.
An extended mix with an epic finish would push this song to a much higher level again .Great musicianship on show here !

Where's the collaborative album? How about a Blu-Ray/2 CD package -- one studio, one live?
🤘⚠️🤘
Hot Take................bro,,, GTFOH.

And it's a good song.

you guys are so lost on The Warning, anyways The Warning just dropped new videos from Error 2023 Pepsi Center, you will be amazed
The hot take was also the worst take
🤘🏽LOVEBITESRULES🤘🏽
How can you even say that? You haven't reacted to the PEPSI CENTER LIVE CONCERT, that's not even close to be the best song of the warning
Hello, for me it's a fine song, not a great song. This is a Band Maid song and if you listen closely, I notice that BM probably made sure that their solo parts stood out a little more. Yeah BM made the demo and sent it tho The Warning and then they added their stuff so you probably right.
@@bl4ckfl4g but in the end Good Stuff 🙂

100 % agree. The Warning was the guest, but i wanted it to be a bit more of their Sound.
Good song, reminds me a lot of The Offspring but you can tell Band Maid are better musicians than The Warning.
Depends on...Lyrically wew!...faster or technique doesn't always means better musician or MA Batio would smoke all these ladies, but, NOT.
Not better, just different style.
The Warning has way better songs than this one, and Band-Maid as well. So I think you should watch the 2 last The Warning Concerts, like Wacken adn Pol´and´rock.
