Written especially for an anime second season. They are becoming the almost go to band for anime themes. But stand alone it still sounds like Band Maid. A bit of a nice throw back to the slightly heavier sound of things like Rinne etc. But then they are a great band for mixing and matching.
Awesome take and insight! Your the first musician/songwriter who highlighted Kanami’s willingness to essentially “give away” riffs for free. I totally agree with you that if I happen upon a nice riff or motif, I’m going to get some mileage from it. They do have a formula. They do repeat structures and features. But only in the most superficial way. Band Maid is one of a select few artists where I have fun diving deep and studying what they’re doing.
I've heard at least one other reactor mention it. I forgot the song he was talking about, but he had said that other people would make 6 songs out what Kanami puts into one.
While many bands could probably pull off a competent cover of SHAMBLES... Nobody could display the exquisite balance that most every Band Maid song has. The ingredients that each member adds make for a perfect palate pleaser !
Good job. One of their heaviest riffs probably. In this time I love how the rhythm section manages to rise so high and be so prominent in a song with such chunky riffs. Thank you!
I'm with you, Po! Saw them at Sac and HoBA and I can't get over how beautiful they all are up close on the rail, especially Miku. I can see why there is a "Dawn Patrol," Po! As a bass player, I'm a huge Akane fan because she is always in the pocket (makes a bass player do crazy things and sounds great). I'm proud of Miku's guitar skill level now. She is a consummate student of the craft, i.e., saw her run her index finger from the high E to D, then place her pick on the D to setup for her mini solo on "Rinne." Kanami-sensei, thank you for your investment into you student, Po! 🦍🍌
I see what you did there -- using the Michigan area code 810 as a way to show how good Band-Maid is... or was it San Francisco radio KGO 810? Well... either way, very cleaver, sir! 🤓
A "silly anime tie-in" song, yet it's Band-Maid, so it's like the best song released this year. They always give 100%, even for theme/credits songs like this where you might expect a band to phone it in a bit. Nope; they can't help themselves from achieving greatness.
Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid. So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘 Thx, Ronin!
Not sure where to request a reaction video. A new group called “East of Eden” have released there first track called “Evolve” The group members are some of the best from Japanese rock / metal scene. There is a video on RUclips. Thanks…..

Unpredictability is Band-Maid's M.O., and they make it work every single time. Glad you're still hangin' around.

Akane in full Gorilla Mode ! 😍
No Matter what, you can guarantee that BAND-MAID will always turn up the heat to 810.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Celsius or Fahrenheit? 😋
@@Parker-- Well i use Celcius & you use Fahrenheit so i couldn't decide between the two. Let's say 810 on the Po scale :)
@@GaryHolloway-810 Those are some melted masters and princesses.
@@Parker-- Especially in Fahrenheit. Omg you would've thought they'd have created a hideously melted emoji face. Tch.😒

Thanks, Ronin, nice to get a songwriter's perspective!

Flawless take, Tom... Couldn't have said it better !
Overall, it's all the Maids' show.... Lol. The ever so present musicianship and teamwork. ❤💙💚💛💜
@@kylenavyguy It is, isn't it. Every member is a show unto themselves.
