I’m way late to the party here but swhat was you actually grinding down on the backside of the finder? I assume from what I can see and hear that you were grinding on metal. Did you cut or anything on the bottom of the wheelwell liner? If you did, how did you reattach the liner on the bottom to the body of the wheelwell?
Might be because they aren't quite as wide, could the offset of the rim etc. I may put a suspension lift in but I do have other plans for the ute. So not too fussed at the moment
Well timed video as im just about to put exactly the same size tyres on my collie 👌🏼 Only difference will be i'll have a 2" suspension lift before the tyres so im hoping to do less grinding
Awesome mate! Yeah they look good hey! Just an FYI, the wheel i have is a 16x8 with Pos20 offset. Hopefully you don't have to do as much grinding as me.
@@CallMeMurqqa +30 better for stealth 265 or 285/75 r 16 with minimal cutting. 0 offset means you will do more cutting and have more problems including chopping and plating the body mounts just behind the front tyres. If you love the poke look be prepared to get the grinder out! 😁😁
Your right about 31.6" but people will refer to 32" because it's as close to 32" a metric tyre size can be, in there defense some brand tyres do come with deeper tread depth which is closer to 31.8ish. I know one brand I had was closer (brand new) to 32" than 31". Maybe they can be forgiven
Bummer about being stuck down there mate! This is a very common issue and would love to develop some offset and adjustable upper control arms for the people here is Oz since I cant seem to find any. Being a boilermaker will make it a breeze, i just don't have a workshop at the moment since moving.
@@chiphood2966 Yeah depending on the offset, people can get away with that size. Stock wheels i think have a Pos38 offset, The wheels I have are Pos20 with ever so slightly taller tire than yours.
@@AutomotiveActionMedia yeah still surprised considering stock size tyres looked like they were almost scrubbing. Was meant to put 265/75/16 on but the shop ordered the wrong set

That’s a work horse there off-road for real what it’s built for 👍🏾👌🏾
Just getting out there and having fun!!

why not a 2" lift kit ? I got ome on my d-max and running 255/75r17 ,no cutting or scrubbing

At how many kms did u get your clutch replaced? And did you have a lift when you put those 265/75s on and had to chop up your guards? Cheers
No lift

Hey mate nice collie. I have a 2015 collie with a 2 inch lift, would she scrub on 33s ?
hey man i wanna know this aswell
did you find out
Love your vids , would you ever do a body lift one ?
I am considering a body lift so there is a chance I may do one!
Arh i miss qld. Stuck in Victoria now. My stock size tyres on 50mm lift almost scrape so haven't upgraded yet

If you do a body lift install. The video will get loads of views!
I sure hope so! Will see what the future looks like
When is the body lift vid coming????
Did you grind the body or just the guards
Just the mud flaps, didn't even grind the flares either.
Will the 265/75/16 fit without chopping if I have a 2" lift on rear and front torsion bars wound up?
I believe most people do get away with it. But when offroading on compression of suspension, it will still rub. Hopefully not on daily duties though
265/75r16 fit stock '05 Ra Rodeo, only rubs in reverse at half lock
