Its really simple. Follow the bar the runs from your lower control arm to about the middle of your truck, near the transmission crossmember. At the end of the bar there will be a bolt that runs perpendicular to the ground. Lift the front end up with a jack, so its off the ground. Then turn that bolt (count how many turns) and repeat for each side until you reach the height you want. Remember as you tighten the bolt it increases your spring rate on your torsion bar making the ride stiffer. Thanks for watching.
Remember guys, once you crank your torsion bars, you mess with the camber and shocks plus it rides like you're sit over a brick rolling over skate wheels.
02' edge here as well. had it for 7 years. 100k miles. always had stocks 235s... Past 2 years been running 30x9.5x15 and not to much power loss, better look for sure. But with stock wheels jujst not enough offset. Considering spacers but is it worth it or is it going to cause more harm than good?
@@sk8forever12 i wouldnt know ive got the same trim & year I managed to fit 31’s. had to remove the mud flap bracket. if your at stock ride height still you’d probably rub unless you cut the fender up a bit. aslong as you maintain the stock suspension & run quality spacers youre okay generally.

How much did you lift the front/rear to fit? About to throw some shackles on the back and TBAR the front. Just don't know how much to lift.
Couple cranks of the Tbars is all I had.
I don't have coil overs, fwd, or t-bar on my 1998 Mazda b4000. Would the same size apply to this
Probably not.
I have 2006 ranger 4x4 . Got some 17/1250 /33 ford wheels .bolt studs measure 5 and3/8. What is wheel pattern
Should be 5x4.5
I have a 2003 ford ranger xlt 4x4 and I’m currently running 245/75/16 would I be able to install 255/75/16 at3w without any rubbing or any problems?
For sure.
Can I get the exact size and brand along with the type of wheel, this is the exact setup I’m looking for and I can’t find it
The links to the exact tires and wheels are in the description of the video. :)
I'm a bit late to this party, but great video! I've got 2009 Ranger sport. I originally wanted to lower it, but Canadian winters being what they are and me being poor decided bigger tires were a better idea lol I don't believe the RWD Sport models have torsion bars. I have 265/35/15s on her right now, I'm curious if it would be cheaper for me to get a good set of wider 15's and put on the biggest tire that I can find that won't rub? What would the rim size be for something like that? 15 x 10?
Depends how much tire poke you want and what size. I had 31/10.5R15 with 10 wide had torsion lift and rear shackles. I’m also lowered now with 20” Dayton rims.
@@funkymonkey89 what size gears did u have in the rear end?
@@caedenthefarmer9918 4:10 gear ratio.
@@funkymonkey89 ah okay i got 3.73s rn i wanna try and find 4.10s, any idea if a ranger with a tow package has them?
@@caedenthefarmer9918 yes I think ether the tow package or maybe the fx4 I’m not sure but mine is tow package and fx4. If you just need the rear end I would do a explorer rear diff with disk brakes. Most of those are lsd and 4:10 I think.
Thank you for this video man. Cheers
Those are some nice ass guitars, man.
Thanks man, another hobby of mine.
Bro your videos are great! You should make more! A LOT more! You got the views & subs off to a great start but nothing in a year?
I just bought a ranger, need my new favorite Ranger tuber to show me way more about it & no doubt you’ve hilarious educational ideas on many other topics as well… Thanks for all u did so far & here’s to hoping more are posted SOON bro!
New stuff coming soon!
hi I would like to know which piece you have for the mag hub. I buy the same set up but with 31/10.5r15😝thank’s
I am not sure what you are referring to sorry.
hi I had a question I have a 2002 ford ranger with a size 15 rim do you think this tires size would fit my truck if not what’s the biggest size tire that would fit it? please and thank you
Mine is a 2002 as well. They fit pretty tight but they did fit. If you dont have an offroad bumper you will have to cut the bumper to make these tires and wheels fit.
I have a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT 2WD 3.0, will that tire size fit my Ranger?
2WD have different suspension. I dont think they will fit without extreme modification.
Great Video...Super informative! Mad love from Cali...
Hey man would these wheels work with hub lockers on my 95 4x4
Yes. You just have to check bore size.
question for you bro. great vid by the way...
i just put some 31's on my 2001 ranger stock rims with a level kit 1.5in and now im getting a growling noise everytime i brake. did you experience any thing similar whem putting bigger tires on your ranger ?
Just the tire
I didnt. It could be a number of things. Without seeing the truck its hard to say. I would try and pinpoint where the sound is coming from. If it happens when you hit the brakes, Id say its probably time for some new pads.
Excellent setup! 🤠
Price is another thing to consider.
Always.
I have an 05 Ranger FX4 with a Rough Country torsion key leveling kit, Monroe montotube shocks and 275/65R16 tires. Truck looks awesome. Paint shines like new. I ended up gaining 3.5 inches of lift in the front and 1 inch in the back with the leveling kit and bigger tires. I’m going to a 20x10 with Goodyear Duratracs in a 275/55R20 shortly. Looking at 20’s right now. Decisions decisions.
Wheels and tires are always the hardest decisions in my book.
Hey man I’m looking to start doing some off-roading in snow and have been building my ranger for a while. I was wondering if you could send me where you got the wheels and tires they look great! And how have they been now that you’ve had them a while?

Here are the tires as well amzn.to/3j2fGoX
what offset for the wheels youre running?
I have a whole video about the truck and everything on it. Its the walkthrough video. Thanks for watching.
@@DoinitwithDoug I have to watch a 14-minute video to know the offset you're running? It takes two seconds to just type it out... lol
@@liamjackson2299 Or you could skip to where I am talking about my tire and wheel set up. Also the link for the exact wheels are in the description of this video. Takes 2 seconds to click on it. Lol just saying bud. They are -44 offset 15x10 Procomp 252s
@@liamjackson2299 Not trying to be mean, I just work hard on these videos and to have to repeat myself 13.3 times a day is a bit exhausting. I appreciate you watching man, and hope your project is going well for your truck.
Thank you so much for making this video. It helped me out a lot.
Do you still have stock gears?
4.10s so yes.
I have a 1.5 in level kit on right now and I’m looking to put 33s on, could I clear them?
Probably.
What Size tires are those and what brand?
If you watch my walkthrough I talk all about my setup. You should check it out ;) Thanks for watching.
honestly looks nice but I like my stock rims a lot and I’m just looking into better tires cause I only put 40k mile tires on it and I want to change them out later on when I’m making better money
Thats fair!
How can I crank my torsion keys on a 05 ford ranger fx4
Its really simple. Follow the bar the runs from your lower control arm to about the middle of your truck, near the transmission crossmember. At the end of the bar there will be a bolt that runs perpendicular to the ground. Lift the front end up with a jack, so its off the ground. Then turn that bolt (count how many turns) and repeat for each side until you reach the height you want. Remember as you tighten the bolt it increases your spring rate on your torsion bar making the ride stiffer. Thanks for watching.
Dawg those are huge…. That is sweet
They just look big cause its a small truck. lol
I want 33x10.5 but don’t know what lift I need to not cause rubbing
I have 32x11.5 and they rub at full lock very slightly. So, you might be okay with only 10.5 wides but that depends on your offset too.
@@DoinitwithDoug ok thank you
Look into falkens, those bad boys ride smooth!!!
What is the rim brand? Or where did you get them?
amzn.to/3Xzr9ve Here is the link. Thanks for watching!
Where did you get your topper and how much was it
It came on the truck. Sorry.
Will these wheels & tires fit on a stock 2007 Ford Ranger XL 4x4?
Should be a very similar if not identical set up. Thanks for watching.
@@DoinitwithDoug I just bought the same rims & tires for my truck. Should I get an alignment as well? or is it not needed
I'm about to by the RC lift for my 2008 im tired of cranked torsion keys it rides like crap
Consider doing a coilover swap if you dont plan on doing more than 3 inches.
I miss my 85 TTB Ranger. 08 XL 4x4 is my daily now. The ride was so harsh up front that I took off the front stabilizer bar.
Thanks 🙏🏿 pro keep posting🤞🏾
New one coming out tomorrow. Thanks for sticking around!
I have a Ford ranger 2011 xlt, would these fit my truck?
They should.
2011 Rangers sit lower than previous rangers. 2008-2011 sit lower due to Ford changing out torsion keys and rear blocks for gas mileage.
the answer 31-33 if you pull all the shrouds
What size tires do you have on the ranger?
amzn.to/3j2fGoX
Remember guys, once you crank your torsion bars, you mess with the camber and shocks plus it rides like you're sit over a brick rolling over skate wheels.
I have a 2002 ranger edge and it sits pretty tall stock. I've seen other rangers sit super low compared to mine. I also recently put A/T 30s on it
Yeah, it really depends on the truck for sure.
Damn good choice. I’ve got an 03 Edge and I couldn’t love it more.
so 30'' wheels it is. ive got a 02 edge as well
02' edge here as well. had it for 7 years. 100k miles. always had stocks 235s...
What offset you running. Wheel specs plesse lol
-44 offset. 15x10 rim.
I have a 2007 ranger fx4 level 2, will it fit 12 wides?
It could depending on offset and tire size.
where did you find the camper shell
It was on the truck when I bought it.
What’s the biggest tire I can go on a 05 xl single cab?
I would have to know the truck height.
Did u have to trim anything?
Not will the offroad bumper but with a stock one I would imagine you would have to trim some plastic.
I just subbed and liked! Keep up the good videos!
Hey!! Much appreciated.
You can fit 37s on a stock Mazda b3000 lol and it work good
Jeeze, How do you turn? lol
What kinda bumper do you have
amzn.to/3HvqipN
never forget to loosen your lugs lol
Awesome job my friend
Thank you for watching! I appreciate the support.
HOW MUCH DID THEY CHANGE THE SPEEDOMETER
Probably about 4 mph.
whats the wheel offset?
