Rami Malek did Freddie Mercury proud. He’s phenomenal in the movie. And I enjoyed the movie very much. And I’m so glad Brian May and Roger Taylor supported him and everyone involved in the movie.
As a queen fan ..Rami malek did Freddie mercury proud..he deserves an Oscar for best actor for this movie ...he was absolutely phenomenal, I'm so glad Brian May and Roger Taylor supported him and everyone involved in this movie ..Freddie mercury is a number one rock icon
Yes, I agree!!! Tami Malak DID do a phenomenal portal of Freddie Mercury in the movie. The side by side of the Live Aid Concert was truly unbelievable!!!!😄😳😄😳😘
I’m so impressed by Rami as an actor and as a human. He really honored Freddie with the effort he put into this performance. He really became Freddie. Also, Anita and Freddie had a very close friendship. If she cried at Rami’s performance, that says a lot. Bravo.
TheClassica91 Classic Anita crying was unfortunately not true. She laughed at rami but later apologised, he said so at an interview he had. I'm guessing jimmy fallon. I'm not saying Rami didn't do a great job though I cried like a baby both times I've gone and seen the movie so far 😂🤧
TheClassica91 Classic Sorry, wrong late night host. It's the video called "Rami Malek had to watch queen see him play queen" something. And I know that it's not true because it came out of rami malek's own mouth 😩
What blew me away about the accuracy of the Live Aid recreation for the movie we how Malek moved so perfectly. It wasn't just him recreating the moves beat by beat, but doing them with such natural movement that it looked completely organic and not at all like a rehearsed routine. The movie itself was good, and the men playing the bandmates were spot-on, but that Live Aid recreation is movie-making, history-making perfection. It is just as memorable as the real Queen Live Aid performance! Truly it is! I hope the DVD has the full set in the bonus features or director's cut.
I agree it was great, but he didn't clap his one hand with the microphone in the other for Radio Ga Ga. Rami slapped his leg instead. They will be releasing the full Live Aid set.
What was so impressive to me, was that Freddie wasn't a dancer. He didn't dance, he just let his body move the way it felt like moving. Recreating that was very impressive.
@@MM-dq2pi That was a different section of the song, a different chorus. For some reason, in the edit, they skipped the first chorus and showed him singing the second. And if you can find a side by side vid (they get taken down for copyright), you can see that that is indeed what Freddie did for that chorus of the song.
Yes, thankyou. I haven't been able to watch the film yet, but the side by side that went viral, which I saw, made the error of using the wrong section in that song. I was thinking that it was something so obvious so I am glad it wasn't an error.
It's incredible all the hard work Rami Malek did to portray Freddie Mercury. I really liked Bohemian Rapsody. Rami Malek should be nominated for an academy award for best actor. He did a good job.
on Ellen he was talking about the way she taught him Freddie's movements and they're actually pretty cool! "imagine you have bath water running down your back, now giraffe it, now serve a plate of spaghetti" it came together so perfectly! lol
he’s a really amazing actor. while i was watching the film i truly felt like i was watching freddie come back to life before my eyes. he did an amazing job and deserves many awards.
John blunt is the perfect freddie mercury in appearance. But this man's performance is phenomenal he really put an effort in becoming freddie.. he may not look like freddie in his whole appearance in the movie..but freddie's physical aspects, actions and passion in music was delivered by this man almost perfectly . for me he nailed it..10/10.. screw the critics.. the movie is great
Johnny Blunt captures the "manliness" Freddie had, the strong posture he showed on stage, as a stage man. Rami, personally I think, captured the tender side of Freddie's soul, that spark that moved him towards being a genius on and off stage, a side not too many people cared enough to look for in Freddie ♡
Rami did brings out Freddie back .. the world can feel him again, and love him again .. like no one can ever do .. So proud that I can watch the movie ..
LOVE,LOVE, LOVE this wonderful movie. The connection this legendary group had and still has. I Love the True Love that they carry in the heart's for Freddie Mercury. Now this is the Love and unconditional Love that we all should have for one another. Freddie Mercury would be so proud. He was so loved then and even now and generations to come. Timeless. Rest in Peace Freddie Mercury, sincerely Lisa Herrera a fan of Queen.
a lot of times the actors get most of the credits or praise for their performance, but it's 99% of the time a combination of the actor's talents AND the crew's as well. It's refreshing to see this video shed a light on the people who helped shaped the film behind the scenes. It was truly an iconic movie shedding light on the life of arguably the biggest icon of the 20th century.
Every interview Rami has given on this movie he has named specific crew members such as the makeup, cinematographer, etc. and their contributions. he's been very gracious in that sense
Anish Pol I’ve seen Queen in concert many times and Rami did an amazing job. This whole movie was cast perfectly. Yes there are Hollywood liberties taken and not everything is factual , however it was a wonderful tribute to Freddie especially in Rami’s portrayal. I could see the turmoil Freddie felt and as someone who lost a loved one to AIDS I was deeply moved. I’m so sad you as a fan (I assume) cannot see that.
Rami was magnificent! He deserves the Oscar. I felt he had the Spirit of Freddie and his movement. He does not really look like him. But no one can. Freddie was the one and only. Masterpiece of a man! But much love to Rami. Wow!
It was such an inspiring movie and I love the way Polly Bennett described our "movement heritage." This makes perfect sense. Something else I'd observed in a couple of performance scenes: when Rami is wearing a bit of a longer wavy wig, he looks like Mick Jagger!! He could easily play Mick as well!!
Transformation was definately on point! Rami slayed it..! Just seen the movie..and extremely impressed how well all the characters were portrayed..!!! Best movie in quiet awhile, i believe..!!! 👍🏆 surely will get lots of awards on this one! In many vatagories as well..!#!
I was a fan of Rami and my mom became a fan after watching Bohemian Rhapsody. I assumed the Aid bit was taught to him as a choreography, so it's interesting to hear her approach was different. Would love to hear more of the process she took... Very interesting, great job!!!
Rami did a fucking good job. It was incredible to watch the movie with my dad who raised me on all the greats and share that experience with him. We aren't very close these days but we both laughed and cried together during the movie. It was good daddy daughter time and it will always be a good memory. ❤️
Rami truly matched Freddie's energy for the film. Production did a spectacular job of casting because everyone was spot on even the guy that portrayed Bob Geldof in the Live Aid scene. I see a lot of Oscar noms and hopeful wins.
Can we also acknowledge that the people who did Rami's movements and make-up both also helped Eddie Redmayne become Stephen Hawking? I found that insane since both Rami and Eddie pulled their roles off to a T. Freddie would've been so proud!
Sad that Freddie has died 27 years ago but he would probably be happy that they have made a movie about queen the band you will stay in are hearts Freddie Mercury
He also didn't wear contacts to make his eyes brown , I read somewhere he wanted to keep the emotion in the eyes and felt that contacts will take that away .
In my opinion I feel like this movie should have been in cinema on the anniversary of Freddie’s death or when Queen got together the first time or on Freddie’s birthday
No wonder Freddie was in good shape physically. Long-distance runner in his youth eh? I also heard he boxed when he was in Queen. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong? (Sorry for the late comment, btw I saw the movie when it came out with my brother)
Oh rami malek if I ever got to meet you I would just be speachles I wouldn't know what to do you are just amazing ❤️ you did the best job in bohimian rapacity
This is all fascinating stuff (especially how you can make someone's eyes look closer together), and I am just as awed by Rami Malek's performance as everyone else here. But there's one question I can't seem to find an answer for anywhere online. Why did he keep his natural eye color instead of wearing brown contact lenses? Was it to help him connect with the camera more emotionally, or was there some other reason?
Rami was a perfect choice from the universe. Rami was meant to play Freddie Mercury. Destiny, called on Rami for this part. He deserved the OSCAR AWARD! He worked so hard to imitate. Be Freddie!
Rami Malek did Freddie Mercury proud. He’s phenomenal in the movie. And I enjoyed the movie very much. And I’m so glad Brian May and Roger Taylor supported him and everyone involved in the movie.

He needs all of the awards. His performance is simply so transformative. It's brilliant.

My point is, he might have said it in another interview.

Kinley Terbrock thx!
Bohemian Rhapsody was simply the best movie of the decade. There are no words for how amazing Rami Malek was in this role.
Rami wasn’t portraying Freddie Mercury in this movie, he was Freddie Mercury
Absolutely!
It's incredible all the hard work Rami Malek did to portray Freddie Mercury. I really liked Bohemian Rapsody. Rami Malek should be nominated for an academy award for best actor. He did a good job.
He HAVE to be given an OSCAR.
They did!!!
rami is the perfect actor to play freddie. i saw the movie twice and i was right

He was flawless! As a die hard fan, I couldn’t believe how amazing Rami was!
I cried throughout the film. A lot of happy memories. I wish the live aid was the original one, And Ramik did the script.
Rest in peace Freddie
I admire Rami's performance in Bohemian Rhapsody. He did great and in fact, made Freddie Mercury alive again. 😍

Yeah, Queen said that they wanted someone to capture the essence of Freddie, not someone who looked exactly like Freddie
John blunt looks alot like freddie
