There has never been an actor who fit the role as perfectly as Rami. Like someone else pointed out. He wasn't playing Freddie, he became Freddie and was Freddie. The best performance by any actor that I have ever seen in my life
There's no words to describe Rami Malek's performance, if that is not an Oscar I don't know what is! Sorry Bradley Cooper! And Gwilym Lee is like Brian may's twin, I couldn't believe, that should be supporting role nomination too!
I've watched bohemian at least 40 times now. He did an amazing job. My only complaint is they didn't give him brown contacts. Freddie didn't have blue eyes. All the actors were amazing. You forget they're actors and not the real people .
Yeah those details usually bother me, but his eyes are not a bright, bright blue so not distracting. If they were electric blue, like Cameron Diaz’s eyes, then it would not have worked.
I want to say that this mans performance was absolutely incredible and he did an amazing job in the portrayal of Freddie. I have seen the movie twice already. A great representation of my favourite singer and band. Hats off to you sir.

I live in Rio de Janeiro and went with the family to watch the movie last Sunday. At the end of the film, everyone present applauded, between smiles and tears. A brilliant, moving film that stirs our emotions ... makes us want to sing, dance, cry, go back in time and embrace Freddie if it were possible. Thank God for having had the chance at 65 to watch such a touching and perfect movie.
It's crazy to think that you were much younger than him as well. Freddie would be 72 today, and yet here are so many 18-25 year olds who weren't even born while he was alive being able to enjoy his impact on the world. Truly beautiful
Miyagi absolutely.... queen is rare, once in a lifetime artist.. I've grown up listening to them n learning about Freddie, I also played their music for mu children. I in my 40s, They in their early 20's and I hope it continues..
Don´t you see that Rami Malek can NEVER play Freddie Mercury??!! This childlike looking little boy with chubby cheeks and hands, his short face with a big forehead, the big blue lizard eyes with pouches, the incongruous babyface with harsh/dreamy facial expressions, the unnatural disfiguring teeth they put in his face and make him look like a Simpson, his broad hips, stocky extremities, the stiff way he moves his body and the unfunny way he talks. I wish the film would never have been made. This obscure boy sometimes looks like Mick Jagger, but never like Freddie.

Rami's performance was spooky , the movie felt like Freddie Mercury came down and wore Rami's being as a vessel, some say an actor is a channel of the collective soul of humanity...
@@shayvogler It´s a phenomena which can be seen in all artforms. And yes it is considered, not only to be a good thing, but to be the ultimate state/level of "mastery" an artist can achieve. It is often said that you go through a process of four steps when learning something. It is: Knowledge, Ability, Mastery and Creativity. (But for some there is also a fifth step). Knowledge - First, you learn the craft/the artform. Ability - Second, you become familiar with/good at it. Mastery - Third, you achieve mastery. Creativity - Fourth, you unfold your inner creativity. The fifth step, is a state where you become an instrument (a vessel) to the craft/artform. You set your ego aside. It is as though, that you as an individual no longer exist, but instead have become one with a greater whole, a collective field of consciousness.

There has never been an actor who fit the role as perfectly as Rami. Like someone else pointed out. He wasn't playing Freddie, he became Freddie and was Freddie. The best performance by any actor that I have ever seen in my life
I agree he did the most amazing job
Yes it was like actually seeing what he was .
Rami was a phenomenon as Freddie Mercury!
John Vickrey He rocked, they all did.
Oh man the guy who played The drummer and Brian May looked so much like the actual guys!!! Even the actor that was Geldof was awesome too!!!
There's no words to describe Rami Malek's performance, if that is not an Oscar I don't know what is! Sorry Bradley Cooper! And Gwilym Lee is like Brian may's twin, I couldn't believe, that should be supporting role nomination too!
I don't think anyone could play it better !

Yeah those details usually bother me, but his eyes are not a bright, bright blue so not distracting. If they were electric blue, like Cameron Diaz’s eyes, then it would not have worked.

You can kind of tell that Rami took the character with him because he still has some of the head tilts and mannerisms he did in the movie when he portrayed Freddie.
I thought that too!
It's almost uncanny how much they transformed each of the actors to look JUST like the real people they are playing! Gwilym Lee as Brian May was too spot on! It just adds to the greatness that is this movie.

I hope this is a good thing..... If I'm reading it right, what you are saying is good?
