BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet.
The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury's lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.
Starring Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aiden Gillen, Tom Hollander, and Mike Myers

I've already got my ticket for opening day first show.
im waiting to showing in the philippines bohemian rhapsody
Saw it last night, apart from some little poetic licence details it fantastic and I will go and watch I again
I saw it last Friday! It was amazing, I really enjoyed it.
Fantastic saw it twice already
Brian's voice didn't change the last 40 years. He still sounds like in his youth.
Very well educated talented people❤
same with Roger
Still looks the same💕
routinier13 I was thinking the same thing.
Brian May still has a youthfulness to him, even with the gray hair. He's a super nice guy to be such a rockstar. Handsome as ever too!
I remember back in the seventies while raising my three young daughters Queen had very different songs but you always knew it was Queen. Wonderful composing, harmonizing and instrument playing. It was always talked about with amazement that they were all so well educated and so well spoken. They were not the typical Rock Band. They were so kind and respectful in interviews. I’m still a big Queen fan and have the greatest respect for John Deacon, Roger Taylor, Dr. Brian May and the late great larger than life Freddie Mercury. They still bring me great joy.
They really loved him.....can read from their faces.....how much they wished he was still around.
I think it’s super cool how they’re behind the movie 100%!
Okay, but this two look like a scientist from 40's or 30's
I like how Brian still has his rocker hair
He was born with it
maybe it's maybelline
@@jonlloyd1084 lol that reference tho!

The guy that played Brian May in Bohemian Rhapsody was a clone. I am convinced.
Ikari Shojo lmfao ikr!
Also the guy who played Deaky. Looked pretty much the same to me.
The film's Deaky is the one who played the boy (grandson of John Hammond) in Jurassic Park.
even his voice sounded identical!!
The very first promo pic I saw was of Rami and Gwilym as Freddie and Brian...and I thought it was a pic of the REAL Freddie and Brian. Even while watching the move, I would have sworn I was watching the REAL Brian May.
And I think you're right..... Brian May was cloned for this movie!
You can hear in their voices they still miss freddie.
meme 😭
Freddie was the man. No doubt about that. No doubt about it. Anybody who disses on Freddie are not my friends.
😭😞
It makes me so upset that they lost there best friend 😪😭 someone they truly lived
Loved*
Freddie always said 'don't make me boring'. Oh how he hated boring. I hope he's portrayed well.
Tim Guttesen he was!
Definitely was. Rami was sensational.
The film is incredible
Boring would be the last thing to come to mind when seeing Rami in action.
@lindowan123 Ive seen it, Rami was good, unfortunately the script let him down.
Please go watch this movie. I got endless chills, the actors were so similar to the original queen!!
Elle57910112004 especially brian !!!!
Elle57910112004 that’s how you do a movie. You really picked best person that can portray and look liked them unlike other movies that performed by known artist but you won’t feel much of their existence unlike in this movie they indeed made a very good choice in that ans rami malek portrayal exceeded my expectations. You will feel all the emotions in this movie and suddenly at the end of it you’ll missed Freddie so much.
Rami Malek is far from looking like freddie but ok
Edi Lipovac Looks more like him than Sasha.
@@EdiLipo but his movements and actions were so Freddie
I laughed and bawled like a baby. The actors were so believable that I genuinely thought I was watching the band. Amazing film and deserves awards.
I cried during Radio Gaga.
Gypsy Freedom totally agree. Didn’t expect to cry so much throughout the film. Phenomenal experience.
Tristan Murray it really was! I’m going to see it again, loved it so much
Tanya Marie i cried during “we are the champions”, man i’m born to late😐.

Im so glad the Brian and Rodger were involved , not some wannabe film maker who never knew Freddie and his close connection with Brian, Rodger, and John. The movie shows that close connection. A Masterpiece.
tracy Byers I assure you that a lot of people knew Freddie way better than these two.
Iggy Casagrande wtf
Iggy Casagrande You don't even know what you're saying, do you?
Where is John Deacon?
@ So you know a man you never met better than the people who actually spent their entire young adult lives with him. Logic.

Depends on who the wife is, doesn't it?

@@bub-games It's from the fucking film...
I pity those who clicked
If Brian and Roger gave it their approval, then that is good enough for me. I don't care what any one particular group or community claims or says, the QUEEN story belongs to Brian, Roger, John, Mary and Freddie, not anyone else. No one outside of the group knows what went on behind the scenes--there is only speculation and assumptions from people who want to make this movie about themselves and not the people who were actually involved. But as always, as long as there is a reason for someone to be outraged--even if it isn't their own personal outrage--they will take it and run with it.
And also John. Don't forget the bassist :'(
i'm new to this queen world. who is mary?
@@crookedprojects Mary Austin--she was Freddie's girlfriend for a while in the 70s, and they stayed friends after breaking up. He said he considered her his wife.
@@CossackGene thanks for the info!
If you think that Brian and Roger have the last say on what the public image should be of the product 'Queen' then think again, the stakes are a little higher.
and Roger taylor stills being adorable and cute
and always sharply dressed. still cute!
so is brian =)
And Brian too.
He's the cutest thing!
And still very smart in his reply and choosing the right words. Its so unhealthy to have such huge crush on a man who is older than my father.... :(

I've watched this film more than a couple of times....I'm in my 60's and the first time, I cried @ the end....magnificent performance by not just Malek but all the cast ! ! Rami deserved that Oscar, yes ? ?
I really do hope John goes to the premiere with Brian and Roger
I had hope's for that too, but John Deacon fell off the earth twenty years ago now; Although he does have business connections to the Queen management, he has not spoken to either Brian or Roger since 2001. John Deacon is a grandfather many times over, been married since 1975, and I think he guards his privacy. I also think Mercury's death really affected him deeply.
He won't. I would bet on it.
John Deacon may not, but his son might since he spoke with Joe Mazzello (John Deacon) for hours about his father. So perhaps his son will represent for John.
Mad Bad And Dangerous To Know Yeah, me too
He'll probably attend a screening in his hometown.
I never knew Brian may was a great actor. He nailed his role in the movie.
That wasn't him... it was an actor
@@terigary9974 You missed the joke
@@terigary9974 r/woooosh
@@terigary9974 oh really? Shit we had no idea
Everyone saying the film is watered down and inaccurate is forgetting two important details: 1) Freddie was a human who mattered to people who are still around. 2) it's a movie not a documentary or autobiography.
The people who love Freddie don't want to see him picked apart on screen. They wanted to tell the bands story along with some of the struggles Freddie dealt with. You know how long the movie would have been if it were as detailed and chronologically accurate as everyone wanted it to be. So just relax and have fun when you watch it. Let the man rest and just enjoy the celebration of his life that they've put in front of you. ❤️
CocoandNuts The critic’s were upset that it didn’t focus more on his sexuality. But that’s not what Freddie would have wanted. The movie was amazing
I think the only odd part was me was making it seem like Freddie left the band when at the time both Brian and Roger had their own albums out and it was supposed to be civil. Paints him badly and I don't know why
overthemoonwithme I agree. I think they did it to cause drama but they all decided to pursue solo projects at that time. I think Roger Taylor was the first to do so. I also hate how they make it seem like Mary harbored resentment towards Freddie when they ended their relationship. She was in truth very accepting of his sexual identity from the beginning so that was an inaccuracy that bothered me.
@@stregadisalem732 yeah I agree. I realise that it's not a documentary but I there was definitely a bias in whose lives they took liberties over
That's the big thing I would say was that It was a MOVIE not a documentary. They wanted to entertain people who never even heard of queen as well.
The fact that actual members approved of it tells me crtitics are bullshit. Sometimes they're right but these two lived and breathed queen and they liked the portrayal so legit everyone else can die LOL.
"Legit everyone else can die LOL" Calm the fuck down. They just see this as a movie telling a story about freddie rather than an omniscient documentary, which Is how most people see movies unfortunately
I love that Roger and Brian are true friends to Freddie. Protecting his legacy like real friends should .
3:39 They looked so fond remembering Freddie and that particular memory. 💕
Claire MMB that’s my favorite part of the video hahah
Me, just listening to this video, Brian May's speaking voice sounds very young, seems like i'm hearing a man in his early thirties...
Even with his gray hair, he still has a youthful presence. He's a great dude.
The guy that portrayed Brian May ought to get his own BRIAN MAY biopic !!
3:30 - 3:40 One of my most favorite parts of this interview 😂
And what they said is exactly why the critics got it wrong.. I went in not knowing much about Queen and Freddie Mercury except a few of their more popular songs.. I was a kid when he died...and what I got form it was a portrait of a man that was a great artist but also a great human being. Made me so sad he’s not with us today.
Shauna McIlwraith exactly. And I came out a fan. I knew of them and knew someone who saw them in concert. But I became a fan in that cinema.
Yep. No movie that's a shade over 2 hours can ever hope to tell "the whole story" of a band like Queen. But I think movie did a very admirable job and hitting the main points and providing a clear arc to the band's career, all the while sharing in so much of what made them a phenomenon. Rami Malek was just outstanding, but everyone else too turned in excellent performances. And the music was a fucking kick in the ass!
@@manakin5 I wasn't expecting the whole story but I was surprised that it strayed so far from reality. They had just finished a 48 show tour before live aid, Freddie Mercury didn't leave Queen. I'm sure they could of added some drama without twisting the facts so much.

Freddie, actually.
nr99 I totally believe that.
His son Luke went tho
The fact that I’m a huge Queen fan, and also a huge Prince fan, it’s so cool to hear Roger say that Freddie admired Prince and that he noticed “serious talents”.
RIP to both
Prince once said he used watch Queen concerts over and over as he was fascinated with Freddie.
I've heard stories that Freddie did the same and watched a lot of Prince's Parade Tour at his parties and had that album played over and over.
There’s a photo in the 1986 Queen calendar and there’s a photo from the One Vision sessions in Musicland studios and in the background you can see Princes Around The World In One Day LP!
Omg wow! I’ve just finding it but I can’t find anything
spot on; I didn't know it before this interview
Brian May you picked the best achor to play him. Thank you for showing freddie Mercury as real as you could .
What are you on? They were consultants but they're not filmmakers. The director and casting director generally advised bu Queen are the ones who decide.

While this is an interview between Roger and Brian I believe John fortunately is happy with the film and that matters given how important he also was to Queens complete story which went from 1970-1992 (most of which is fortunately captured in this film).
KeyboardMaestro that’s what I found a bit difficult, yes Live Aid was phenomenal and was a very big part of Queens story but I felt the ending to the film was quite abrupt and missed a lot more incredible music that Queen created after then :(
It’s so clear that Roger and Brian have such a great respect and love for Freddie even after all these years.
That’s why they betrayed him with this fictional movie.

Yes Freddie was portrayed well by Malek. The rest of the cast also did! I enjoyed the movie. All the necessary pieces are there! Thanks Brian and Roger for giving us a chance to peek into some of your private moments. I don't mind the critics. They didn't love Queen in the first place!! But boy oh boy, was I entertained!!! Apparently poor old Brian wanted to kill Freddie half way through the movie and show how the band went from strength to strength ha ha
The Roger's voice is the sameeee, so cute
ohhh how i wish freddie mercury is still alive up to this day.. how i wish I can tell him how I adored him so much
The Actor playing Brian May, looks more than Brian May, than Brian May looks like Brian May.
I was completely affected by this movie. After it was over, I sat there and the theatre was empty. Didn’t want to leave what I felt was the band’s company as if they dropped by to tell me a story. Because of how young I was at the time of their success, I was clueless to who they were and their story leaving me completely shocked in all aspects. I too thought the same things they explained about the level of acting. I will own the movie when it comes out.
You are still clueless if you believe this movie, it is a work of fiction. To portray the great Freddie Mercury as having been diagnosed hiv positive BEFORE Live Aid is complete nonsense, to portray Taylor and May as being objectionable to the wild partying is absolute bollocks.
Maybe I will never be able to see these Legends in real, but I'm so happy that they continue working and controlled the production of BoRhap movie!
Thw actor playing Brian May got his voice so spot on it's scary. I mean he looks a lot like him, but the voice!

I somewhat disagree with what Roger said. Prior to this movie when you heard the name "Freddie Mercury" you thought; one of the greatest frontmen of all time and that he's the legend that music found, not the other way around.
Or at least me and everyone who I've associated myself with had thought this way.

How in the world do you "forget" that Freddie was a brilliant musician???
EXACTLY only a moron would forget that. Freddie was the outstanding songwriter and musical force behind Queen. ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ officially proclaimed the most uplifting song EVER written was also penned by Mercury.
Dipshit, they worked with him, they know it more than anyone else. It's just that or other things slip away.
A lot of people seem to be more focused on his sexuality rather than is amazing show man ship
@@MrParisienWalkways All members of Queen were great song writers in their own right. They've all come up with songs that are regarded as classics.

@@kevinzhang3313 I agree, way too strange.
These guys are basically gods....they're interviewing god of the olympus. I mean, they are fucking gods.
Hands down....the best bio movie seen. I can see why some may disagree or not like the movie at all and most of the reasons involve on how they portray Freddie, how some things didn’t happen the way it was portrait in the movie or how the audience felt as if they didn’t shown enough Freddie in the very beginning to the very end, basically every little detail about him. But those people have to understand something. 1) Freddie was not a perfect human being. Yes, perhaps a perfect performer and musician but he is also human. He has made mistakes long the way and had a sassy attitude. Eventually, consequences did come his his way but that’s simply how humans are..we make mistakes, we have flaws and this movie did a great job showing Freddie as a flaw person instead of a legend with utter perfection. 2) Brian and Rodger knew Freddie. We didn’t. As much as we wish we did and believe we did, we don’t. So for everyone to say a certain thing didn’t happen this way or “no that didn’t happen, that’s bullshit!”. Have it ever occurred to u that perhaps that was purposely done? Yes, Brian and roger did want this film to make justice for Freddie and how things went down but also certain things that happen were personal, maybe even so much for Brian and roger that wanted to keep those moments to themselves and touch a few things on certain scene on how things went down. They can share what happened truly but also protect or keep away the very true true way things happen because again, that’s something personal and maybe don’t want to tell how all went down exactly. 3) this is a Queen movie. Again, QUEEN MOVIE not a Freddie mercury. Yes obviously it’ll face mostly on Freddie because he was the lead singer but it’s about how Freddie and the boys became queen. How they’re friendship began, went through ups and downs and make up in the end. Reaching every detail and aspect of Freddie like everyone wanted to see in the movie, defeats the purpose on being a Queen movie. Overall, the cast did an absolute great job. Rami is a phenomenal actor who cross his boundaries and limitation to get this non fiction character just right cause he’s a legend like that. For people who haven’t seen the movie yet, please do. Those who have and hate it...can go suck a nut cause even if it wasn’t “truthful,” and over dramatic, it was still entertaining. If you have, then watch it again 😂. That’s all I gotta say. R.I.P Freddie aka legend on rock.

I honestly don't get why this film got bad reviews. It's a biopic: you know they're going to mess up the timeline and add extra drama: what did you expect? It's not a documentary or something. This film costed like 50 million dollars, it's a blockbuster, they have to earn that money back so it has to be accessible for the big audience. Unless they change literally everything and everyone, I don't see the problem with minor inaccuracies: the band members approve so it can't be that unrealistic.
Great Movie! Not only Rami, all other was brilliant too! Like the real Band, each of them was a Mastermind!
Think Freddy would be well entertained!

As a fan since 1989 I find it quite of a pity that their music ,which is indeed magnificent ,is engulfed in this show business vortex. I do prefer by far those days when Queen's music was not regarded as main stream.
