Nice to see someone who actually cares for their animals. Too many youtubers with racks or more pets than they have room for and the care is compromised. The level of ignorance and denial is so frustrating.
I sadly agree, but there are also some really great reptile youtubers out there as well
not all rack systems are terrible though, snake discovery is a great example of a good rack system.
Your probably one of them

Holy crap I almost didn't register it when you said some animals were stolen, you said it so matter-of-factly ... Wow I really can't imagine how devastating that would be. I'm so sorry that happened!
For real I rewinded, devastating man, not just you pets but your family, when he said his tegu I couldn't imagine doggie. I been really wanting a tegu latley
I got such bad cold shivers during the break in story. I am so sorry that happened to you, some people are so low
This is so sad. I just want to hug this guy. I hope people are keeping an eye out on the for sale sites!
Wow hearing his loss really broke my heart. I wouldn't know what I would do if mine were taken. That said I truly love his indigo snake. I actually volunteer at an Indigo Center in FL that is working in repopulating them at certain parts of FL. I love handling them and feeding them, they truly are amazing.
I may be in contact with you about doing an episode on your work :)
lol not really my work I'm new, but I can ask those in charge to see if the are ok with it.
Thank you so much for your comment :)
There was a huge indigo near the stables that lived in a gopher hole under a palmetto when I went to camp in central Florida. 8 ft plus easy whose iridescent blue skin was indescribable. Owners said they 1st noticed it 20 yrs ago. Massive animal.
Amazing! I love to see really well kept collections. I love his tortoise sand pits :)
Emzotic I love how the main animal community on youtube comments on eachothers videos ;D
Emzotic yea btw love your channel
Thanks Em :)
Thanks Emma!!!
Thanks Emma!!!
Such A Beautiful Hearted Guy I'm Glad You Got The Chance To Interview This Guy Wonderful Guy I Really Really Enjoyed The Video
Thanks! I am too
Thank you so much!
Really sorry about the stolen animals, thats horrible, I can't imagine what I would do if mine were stolen.
Anyway, amazing collection, thanks for sharing.
This guy is a gem. What a great person to have in the reptile community.
He's one of the most awesome people I know
I absolutely agree with everything Bill had to say - wild type, odd ball "uncommon" and rare species are the way to go.
Although I love a good morph, I also love the wild types of rare species.
thanks a lot! I appreciate that :)
What an amazing collection and genuinely lovely guy.
I know this is an old video and this comment might be eaten by RUclips, but were any of the stolen animals recovered? What a devastating thing to happen, I can't get over people being so greedy, selfish and downright cruel. I've been burgled before and that was awful, but I can't even begin to imagine how truly soul destroying it must be to have what are essentially members of your family stolen, as well as having your home invaded.
To end this on a cheerier note, those bright green (Emerald?) skinks are adorable with their curious head tilting! So many gorgeous creatures, so well loved. I really enjoyed seeing this diverse collection, so thank you both for sharing!
I saw a follow up vid Dav did and he did get 1 bearded dragon back they found for sale somewhere and were able to prove it was his by specific markings they matched with pictures he had of it. The cops actually got it back for him and were investigating the guy who had it but not sure if anything else ever came of it.
Sorry for the loss, man. It must be heartbreaking
I'm sorry your animals were taken it would kill me if mine were stolen from me just hope they all are taken care of please stay strong and increase your reptile hobby Dave thank you for interviewing this man and keep the passion high big bro
Thanks for your kind words!
Thank you so much! I am taking your advice, staying strong and positive!
thank you both for taking the time to make this content. So sorry to hear about the theft.
Very awesome.
This is the same reason i have reptiles... Not to breed but to educate and enjoy.
Great video
Everyone should have a few herps in their collection that they just simply enjoy
The Reptile Channel - HerpersTV yes they do. 👍
Yeaha I’ve been seeing that a lot. Buying just to breed :/
This is awesome. I’ve always been obsessed with reptiles (despite my family being scared of them) but I have finally convinced them to let me get a crested gecko! I’m getting one at my next Repticon.
Awesome Abby! You'll love it!
❤️ You had me at skinks! Nice collection and video 😊
I love skinks too!
Hey thanks! I have checked out several of your video too. You have a great collection! Keep up the great work!
Sorry to hear about the break in.
Dave what a video, you do it every time ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ such a shame about having all those reptiles stolen, there are some nastie people in this world, I hope you’re keeping well, looking forward to your next adventure 🇬🇧steve👍🏻
Cheers Steve, I really appreciate that!
Wish this episode would have been longer. I would have enjoyed to see all animals in his collection
He seems like a very special person, breaks my heart someone would do such a horrible cruel thing right before Christmas, I hope they were caught but that is awesome that people put their differences aside and helped someone that helped so many thank you so much for sharing his amazing collection and story best wishes always..😊👍
He is one of my favorite people on the planet :)
There should be more people like you!🙂 I am So sorry for your loss!
This was awesome, really inspirational for a lot of keepers. Always look for animals to adopt before buying new!
Cool video. But tip for the future, when talking about specific animals, especially those rarer and less well known examples - please put the name on the screen so we can go off and discover about them some more. Sometimes its hard to understand what letters you're exactly pronouncing, which makes googling for the animal in question like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Thanks for the good suggestion! I've done that on a few videos already.
thanks for the comment! I had a lot of things to show Dav and some didnt make the cut, on top of me taking so fast lol..
I aspire to be as good as this guy is when I grow up. He is truly inspiring. Keep up the good work!!!!
I’m sorry to hear you lost so many of your pets. I can’t even imagine to lose any from my little collection of a leopard, crested, and Mediterranean gecko, or even my green anole pair and their one baby I have I’m so attached to them I couldn’t imagine how you feel,
But on the other hand one day I hope to be involved in the reptile society as much as you guys,
And my favorite gecko that like and wish to get in the future is a leachianus gecko, and panther geckos oh yeah and rough or smooth tailed geckos they are so cool they look like those one dinosaurs btw I liked and subscribed don’t worry man keep your head up
Amazing video / interview. What a truly beautiful collection.
Love all of the collection
Another awesome video Dav , Thank you Bill for sharing your collection.
Thanks mate!
awesome video. thanks for sharing his story!
This collection is so impressive! Great video 😄
Pretty awesome, isn't it?
Omg how heartbreaking to hear he got 25 animals/babies stolen!!! that made me cry. And it’s completely true about the reptile/herp community... one big loving passionate family... good material Dave. Thank you 😰🐍🦎🐸❤️
I'll be filming a follow up with him soon!
Such a wonderful collection! I’m also very sorry about your loss ...just awful!
Sorry for your loss man. People suck. Keep on keepin on.
Awesome collection, my favorite would have to be the rhino viper; especially babies-can't beat the beauty!
Love rhino vipers!
Awesome bro, thank you for sharing
Cool! I'd love to see some care videos on some of the less known reptiles.
It's in the works
Bill is awesome!
This was a great video
Amazing animmals
A wonderful spotlight of a lovely man. I hope the thieves are caught and his animals returned. Thank you Dāv for another excellent video.
Thanks Michelle!
Whoever robbed him knew him enough and knew he was moving that's why they hit his place up
Very interesting on the runting in captive breeding!
Very nice!! Props to the local herpers!! Go Bucky herps!! 🐢🦎🐍
Awwww the water skink is so cute!
Oh my gosh Carl is the cutest name for a cute turtle!
This was amazing! I never seen half of the reptiles in this video, great video!
The ones that look like leaves were so freaking cool. Nature is so amazing.
Good vid Dav. I love the hobby breeder and collection vids😊 ... Very nice i like😉
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them!
There were quite a few reptiles that I didn't know of and I love that
Man this dude is a good dude. Love his passion. Hope the thieves get caught!
At the very least I hope the animals ended up in the hands of people who are taking good care of them. Poor babies.
More videos like these please man.....
Thank you Dav for having my father on your channel!!! I love it!!
My pleasure Hanna. You're dad is a great guy and a good friend!
So sad people have to steal something someone really cares about! I definitely would feel the same way if someone stole my reptiles. But on a positive note what a great collection loved the pancake tortoise!
I don't have any snakes but African House Snakes are my favorite species of snake
My blood python is def my baby. He is super mellow and will lay on my lap and watch tv with me in the evenings. I also love how short and chunky he is. Great video, very unique collection!
Bloods are awesome!
My favorite is my hypo Columbian boa, not only is she my first snake but she is so docile, she is constantly changing people's opinions towards snakes, Im now hooked and looking forward to a tegu and also a turanchula.
Great video and awesome collection! My favorite is my rhino rat snakes 😊
Rhino rats are awesome!
Ive met your Teague before, he was sooooo sweet and awesome. I was shocked to hear that her was missing. He caused me to look at reptiles a different way. I hope youre able to find all of them.\
My favorite snake is the boa constrictor imperator. Ive got two of them and i absolutely love them. Theyre still small but theyll grow until theyre big. I just love the shape of the head, the pattern and the power they have.
I always wanted to take care of reptiles, but my family don't like them. They never understood my amazement towards those beautiful creatures.
It broke my heart that someone stole some of the guy's reptiles. I couldn't hold back a tear. You can see it in his eyes and in his voice how much he loves them.
I was in that same boat when I was younger but I never lost my fascination with them. If you can't have them now, read everything you can about them, and get out into the field and find and photograph them. Keep your passion going!
I really like this one it's way better when u really with them about there stuff rather then just let them talk the whole time awesome brother
I appreciate that!
Awesome😁👍😁👍
Thank you
sorry bro glad to see it didn't break your spirit toward helping the community learn and grow you do a special thing and it takes a special person to do that so thank you and David for everything you do for us in the reptile life.
Great video and amazing collection!
My favourite snake in my collection would be a tie between my Red Bellied Black Snake and inland taipan. The tai for its colour and how active she is and the black snake for how relaxed he is
Very sorry to hear about the stolen animals too
The Reptile Channel - HerpersTV did you happen to see the video we did for Venomman20 with our red belly? You might enjoy it
I haven't. I'll look it up for sure.
U an Aussie too! My favs are green tree pythons Morelia virdis
U have a inland tiapnd
Oh man these are so gorgous! The emerald and the black indego snake? Oh I cant! i wish i could see them in real life, just astonishing!
I know this is super old now, but it really sucks that people can be so heartless as to steal someone’s pet family members and these were animals that were used to educate people about reptiles and show them what amazing animals they are. Whoever stole those animals stole many opportunities for non-reptile keepers to learn about them and fall in love with them like we have.
That said, my favorite reptile in my collection is a normal “wild type” ball python named Zeus. He was rehomed to me for $60, had a few issues like stuck shed and being underweight, didn’t have proper humidity for I don’t know how long, but he’s the absolute sweetest guy ever. He’s around 3 years old, roughly 2.5 feet long and around 300 grams now though when I got him in March 2022 he was only about 150 grams or so. It’s now October 2022 and he’s thriving, having mostly perfect sheds and eating everything offered to him with gusto. He loves coming out of his enclosure to explore and will rub his head against my thumb while resting against my hand. He’s just the best and was my first snake I’ve ever owned but not my first reptile (first reptile was an eastern fence lizard we named Beans after the female lizard in the movie Rango).
I hope they caught whoever stole those animals and hopefully got some of them back. It’s a shame that people do things like that, especially when those animals were used for education and loved by so many.
Who else got sad about the stolen reptiles
Me. Angry and sad. I'd be devastated if anyone took any of my pets.
Me too
Thank you guys, Im trying to stay positive and focus on what i still have :)
Awesome collection, thanks for sharing. My favorite my collection is my zebra jungle carpet python (Morelia spoilt cheynei). I've been in love with carpets forever and the one I have is one of my rescues. And he is such a sweet boy. I named him Malka, it means Body Markings in Aborigine.
My favourite snake is a milk snake there morphs and triads I love also I love the *ALBINOS!*
I have a giant bull snake, very bright yellow... and she's always hissing and flighty but never strikes or bites. She's just fun... and she always poops in a moist plastic container making her cage easy to manage. Personality and clean... I think bull snakes are underrated... but... I benefit from that though. $
Bullsnakes are my first herp love, and I still have a whole family of them today. Awesome snakes!
The indigo is a dwarf so cute lol
My favorite is my female Albino Tiger Reticulated Python because of how docile and intelligent she is, I've had her since she was a hatchling and with lots of patience and respect is really is rewarding while handling her
Grey rat. Color, size, personality, ease of care. Hog nose. Uniqueness. My favorites are the larger geckos including Tokays and blu tongue skinks.
I don't have a collection, not even a single snake , but I luv King Cobras
I found a large turtle at root river in Sault ste Marie Canada in 2001. It was upside down on the side of the highway, run over . It's shell was smashed and Dr. Craig at Northland vet clinic built it a fiber glass shell. He called me at home and said it was doing well and later he released it
Robin Gagan that's awesome! Love stories like this
Always hope an updated video will pop
Up where he retrieved all his stolen herps.
Wow! Such beautiful kept animals. I’m so sorry some of your animals got stolen. Shame on them! To me its like abducting or kidnapping someones child. We grow bonds with our pets. Some people just don’t care or understand the heart and soul that we put into our pets. They’re part of are family. May God bless you for all that you do for your beautiful babies and for all the people in the community that you have helped and inspired.❤️❤️❤️
Hey I met you! Bill is a great guy!
Completely agree!
beautiful ! thanks a lot for sharing ...about snakes, my 2 issues is that i find lizards arms and legs really cute and I dont feel like getting mice for feeding the snake . But i agree , black snakes and hognose snakes are beautiful ...I might consider those one day , despite my 2 issues
Are those lizards or geckos at 2:08 & 2:11? Those are some of the coolest creatures I’ve ever seen in my life!
My favorate snake here is my Tropidolaemus subannulatus, shes a captive hatch to my good friend mine and shes 2ft right now super healthy...and i love her so much
My favorite snake is the snowcorn cornsnake :P Just causde i just got it and when i was an active rattler 15 years ago it cost alot of money and always wanted one but couldent afford it but now i got one :D
Hearing that loss was so heartbreaking D: I dont even have reptiles myself but i volunteer at a herp society and ya know the animals there are like kids to us and we are all really heartbroken when an animal dies and if someone broke in and took animals from us? God we would be devastated.
All those more rare species were really cool though!
It is really devastating. What herp society do you volunteer with?
the phoenix herpetological society in arizona :)
Out of all my reptiles my personal favorite would have to be my BCI/BCC boa hybrid. I got her as a rescue 11 years ago and she has such a good disposition and my kids love her. As far as a species I've always wanted would have to be a a black headed python.
i'm sorry for your loss
the madagascar clawless was cool i want some viper geckos
Kenyan Sand boa probably one of my favorite. Venomous would be the Gaboon viper for sure
ocellated and schneider skinks, that's what i'm working on this coming year
Hognose is my favorite but I don't own one. Wanted to start the family out with BP's but this spring I'll be looking to aquire a hognose
Hognoses are awesome! You'll love them
Do it a favour and don’t put it in an empty tub like so many ignorant keepers. Snakes need enrichment. BPs in the wild are semi arboreal. So many scientific studies back this up but it is in the hardened breeders best interest to spread the myths that they live in small burrows and don’t budge. They’re all in it to get rich and have no problem spreading lies and saturating the market. Bigger tanks are always better. The problem is people leave the tanks bare making the snakes feel insecure and their feeding response suffers. Block their sight lines to the outside world, give them plenty of hides and that won’t be an issue. Snakes benefit from UV too and studies have led to the belief that can partially see in the UV spectrum too. Sorry, just had an argument with a keeper with a bp in a small tub with just a water dish. Of course they eat in that environment... they have nothing else to live for!
Got 2 now.lol
Got each in 29 gal with Aspen bedding lamp with coolside and warmside hides. Plus Aspen is deep enough to burrow. Water dish is large enough for snake to soak. A few fake plants. A thermometer and a hygometer. Everyone has an opinion just be careful how aggressively you state yours or people will get defensive, shut down, and stop listening
Our favorite snakes? My favorite is well.. all of them!
Also I feel so bad for him.. I wish him good luck and hopefully find the guy who did that.
Golden-Tailed(yellow tailed) geckos are my favorite gecko if not lizard species!
Great video, I bet the thief was someone he knows,, even just a vague meeting...
I don't have any reptiles but if I were to get a snake I would want to get a California Red Sided Garter Snake.
For sure! I want one too!
I know this video was made awhile ago but damn that's so horrible that someone would just come in and take his animals, that's just so sad and sicken. But you can definitely tell he really loves his animals and takes amazing care of them❤
I'm kinda late with my comment but my favorite snake in my "collection" is my elaphe schrenckii (Amur Rat Snake). She's a real sweetheart and not shy at all. Plus black and yellow is great in a snake.
What bastard steals a mans animals who hopefully there still alive
I know, right?
lesser ball python my fav
Had a pancake tortoise growing up , got on my 7th birthday , His Name was Henry , had him for 13 years and don’t know how old he was but he got sick and we had no vets that knew anything back then , very disappointed to lose him
I'm the exact same way. My most "common species" I have are gold dust day geckos. My favorite are the Italian wall lizards, totally underated
I have a morph leopard geckos
Wild types are always the coolest.
