The one mechanic I really, really wished was in this is one sided relationships, or just different relationship bars or each sim. Have a couple where one sim is falling out with the other, but that sim is still super enamoured with the other. Or have a family where one kid hates the other, but that kid doesn't. Or maybe that would be better as a base game feature. It'll never happen, I know, but man would it have been good here..
Er, Sims 4 already has family dynamics which are sorta there for what you're describing, you can make sibling sims have Distant in family dynamic and make one hate the other fairly easily, gameplay, cheats, mods. But probably need the pack that introduces the family dynamics.
Pretty sure this is one of the features that is included in this DLC for romantic relationships

You could build your own, the graves and/or urned will always be on the lot where the sims died and for npcs that's mostly their home or wherever you saw it happen. You can then take your Sim and collect the gravestones/urnes and go into an empty community lot, place all the gravestones there from your Sims' inventory and then go into build mode and build your own, or go on the gallery, find a premade one (there's good ones) and then just replace the gravestones. Ik it's kind of involved but there is at least a way 😊

You fail to understand what they are saying. Of course the tombstone is on the lot where the sim died, we know that, but the issue is finding the damn thing!
When a sim dies- if they would just automatically end up in a graveyard then it would be an easier way of finding them to begin with.

It has functionality as well, in the sims 3 at least, it could be used as a way for the player to decide which ghost to be deleted from the world permanently because as of right now, the Sims 4 will randomly delete ghosts even the ones in your active household. it prevents the game from randomly culling your ghost in case you need the sim back either for playing, transporting to a new save, or meta save editing etc. it is extremely useful for lore/world building which is none-existent in ts4.
Cuddling better be a base game update.

It adds a new city with three neighborhoods, a new dating mechanic system, a new turn-ons/turn-offs mechanic, a new romantic satisfaction mechanic, a new relationship dynamic mechanic, and a new career. Depends on if you think that's enough.

I still can't stop thinking that these features should be part of a larger DLC and not the main focus of a full-price expansion.
This "larger DLC" was in The Sims 3 DLC but all Sims 4 DLC are "main focus on a subject only", that good if the subject can have a more complete gameplay than a larger DLC like in the Sims 3 but the disadvantage is that "full-price expansion" for that subject, I think a game packs would have been more appropriate that a expansion pack.

They should sell new " worlds " - I agree worlds are now actually neighborhoods, as in TS3 you could not leave your " world" other then in world adventures.
TS4 worlds are essentially all small parts of a larger world. This is necessary obviously as otherwise given the tiny amount of lots it would be unworkable othereise

Either way, it's seeming to not be worth the money. Even though I've already read everything that's been leaked, which is quite a bit. The world looks cool. The actual features will probably be a glitched mess, unfortunately. I'm hoping it won't be My Wedding Stories 2.0, but.. I'd not be shocked if it just broke the entire romance system :/

If a mod is massively popular, it shows that EA shouldve paid attention to the community and added it much earlier.
Also....the mods actually work unlike most of the expansion packs which upon release break the game.

dying is not a issue its part of the gameplay a sim can die if he feel sad enough, and that should never be removed or fixed its part of the sims 4 now that emotions affect you sim and can even kill your sims, but the reactoin is something that will be improved in this dlc they said there will be configurations on how the sim react to being cheated on based on personality cause not all sims should be the same some are just whores etc.

I expect tons of content that actually changes the way I play and gives me hours of gameplay. Not some new pointless animations and text boxes that don't affect anything, and a world that's probably just full of set dressing. Expansion packs cost almost as much as many AAA games, so I expect a lot of content.

I don't usually comment on the sims trailers, because no one who needs to hear this will actually read it, but this is actually ridiculous. Not only is this not worth being a whole $40 expansion pack, this isn't even something that will vastly improve gameplay or storylines. I had really hoped the whole romance theme stuff wasn't real or just a small feature a part of a bigger more interesting concept. Not only have I not bought the last few expansions for similar reasons, but I'm definitely not getting this one either.

100% agree, but after the Horse Ranch I knew they are too far gone with the quality of the EPs. They will be milking Sims 4 fans for every piece of content for several years to come. I am not buying this or any further EPs until they fix the existing ones and new ones have the depth of gameplay to justify the price.

I’ve been playing since the Sims 1! It’s embarrassing that they put this out and really think it’s worthwhile! Expansion packs are supposed to bring a new gameplay element to the game! University, high school, pets, seasons, active careers, apartment and city living. Nothing in this pack is creating a brand new playing experience, it’s just building upon what already exists-romance, woohoo, dating. I guess the dating app is new but for PC players there’s at least three mods that already do the same thing for free, and $40 is an absurd amount to pay for what this is. Like, $40 for a dating app, sex costumes and a skill? Be so serious, EA.

What the HELL??? Are they making a quick buck from us? This and wedding stories should have been one pack. They keep making the same pack twice: Cool Kitchen➡️Home chef hustle. Wedding stories➡️Lovestruck➡️Romantic garden. Parenthood➡️Growing together. TS4 has gone off the tracks. WTH even is this pack. They are running out of good ideas but keep publish garbage like this, why: they're obsessed with money. It's kinda disgusting. They rub these ridiculously expensive lacking packs off on us while the BASE GAME has thousands of issues both minor and critical... I wish I could refund my game and packs. I am disappointed.😢

@@natalie6061I think when they did those seductive dances, they're lacking facial expression, they look like emotionless. You know how EA animation always have this exaggerated facial expression even in their dance animation
I was hung up on the dance animation too. I watched it in slow mo and I think it's because at 1:00, her torso moves seperately from the top half of her body. And I don't know if that scene is sped up or not, but it also seems too fast, and the animations are almost *too* smooth. No average person moves like that and it feels unnatural.

My thoughts exactly. They missed on the opportunity to create a Paris inspired world (it's literally called the city of love) and incorporate hotels into the game.
When the pack comes out...after some REALLY good woohoo I want my sims to say "Yibsie...Yobba wetzle." I want to hear it, just once and I can die happy XD.

Yea there were a Lot of animations that are already in the game. I wish they would show us actual consequences and effects of some new systems. Even the crying with makeup seems to be a CAS item and not a new effect from being sad. 😩

@@digthewarmth They did, the woman dying from heartbreak is literally one of the consequences from the new gameplay. Several animations were brand new (kissing, cuddling in bed, cuddling and woohooing on the picnic towel, etc). It's an old game with severe limitations, there's never been any sort of animations in the game that could remotely justify makeup melting as being possible in the game, so I'm not surprised it's not actually possible.
@@purplecosmonautTrust me, if they could code teens developing acne and facial hair growth over time intervals, they could definitely program makeup running after a certain animation or emotion is developed. That is one of the easiest things they could code because it doesn’t require any new animations. It’s just conditional. A sim wearing eye makeup cries, the makeup runs. The only issue with this would be the coloring. If a sim is wearing red eyeliner, making the makeup run red is a harder task. But still, it’s their job to release an innovative pack. Especially if it’s an expansion pack. It’s just a trailer, but as of now this is showing game pack material.
Is it just me or 80% of the things shown here already exists in other packs ( the in closet woohoo animation and penthouses for example )

Underrated suggestion
The blog post about this pack mentions that you can rent rooms for spicy nights. So perhaps we can build hotels, which feeds into the core mechanics of the For Rent pack as well!

@tlswarbrick that's fair too! what helps me is I have MCCC so it lets me know if something messes up and also a tray importer which helps you remove briken CC and mods (also all my cc and mods are organized lord help😭)
