I’ve known that the sims community has been complaining about the whole “teens look just like adults” thing for awhile but watching this trailer really made me see how evident that was lol
@@hartage4 honestly, the preteen mod should just be called realistic teen mod lol. The children in the sims 4 already look between 8 and 10, while in the preteen mod they look like 13-14??? Nonetheless, though I do get that some teenagers look older, at the same time, it is very annoying that they have basically no differences besides some gameplay options.
This is the best... cheerleaders, prom, after school stuff, no rabbit hole, sneaking out windows, body hair, all of the stuff, more stuff for apperance like with the clothing rack, something with social media, graduation... JUST EVERYTHING OMG
@@pyuppy same it would be awesome if we could interact in the class but yeah apparently the high school itself is fully functional it looks like so yeah here is hoping. I mean it looks exactly like what I would expect I am just curious if sports are going to be added or if the field is just a cheerleader thing lol plus I am disappointed at no school bus or teens driving to school or in general which yeah school bus is am essential part of going to school and learning to drive a big part of teens lives so it seems odd they would Leave that out

@@monelmonelmonel don't most teenagers in high-school look like basically adults? It's not like they automatically grow 2 feet and become adults when they turn 18. Plus this is a high-school based pack, not middle school
They have a whole expansion pack based on high school and if they made it a rabbit hole I would be so confused. Like if they didn’t spend all their time and effort on actual high school, what possibly could they of spent it on?
Ok but the Island expansion trailer showed sims actually scuba diving and it was a rabbit hole. I will expect the worst for the high school expansion and let people buy and review before I buy. Wasted too much money on expansions that seemed cool and were boring as hell.
Finally a pack that actually incorporates into the core of the game and not just a niche theme that's a one and done experience that makes no use of the core gameplay.
No use in core gameplay for YOU. If the niche theme isn’t for you then don’t get the pack. Some people play with vampires everyday, some people make all their sims celebrities, some people use knitting all the time, that’s why the niches are DLC and not in the main game because you don’t have to get it.

@@noork5782 fine, but you're acting like niche packs are a bad thing all together, which they are not. And no, not only vampires would qualify for what I said. Maybe you find it easier to play with vampires so you say that, but that's the point. It's not for you then. But there are people who are obsessed with niche packs cause everyone plays differently. If anything I can argue why I think more niche packs over core packs are better, cause core things should be in the main game.
@@LangkeeLongkee they never said other people aren’t allowed to like it. Niche means that only a small percentage of people will be really into it. Most people buy those packs, play them once or twice then never touch them again. It’s good to have a pack I know I’ll constantly be playing with everyday and fits really well into how I play the sims.
@@rachelcookie321 I didn't say they said niche packs aren't allowed. I said they way they spoke comes across like niche packs are bad. And simply don't buy the pack. If you know you're not going to play strangervile more than once don't buy strangervile. You don't HAVE to buy ALL the DLC you know? Niche packs ARE those packs that you get a lot of use out of for some people. You may not like knitting, I LOVE having my Sims make gifts for their kids and using Plopsy. And like I said I could argue why core things should be in the main game itself and packs would be more for niches. You pay extra for something you want instead of something you need. Just simply DONT buy the things you don't want. It's quite literally harder to buy the things you don't want, why are you complaining? Do you just WANT to give EA more of your money? No one is saying you have to like the packs that aren't for you. My whole POINT rn is not yucking other people's yum.
High schools, body hair, cheerleaders, prom, amusement parks, photo booths, the ability to shave.. I'm seriously at a loss for words. This is everything I ever wanted in the Sims 4, ever! Finally glad that EA are giving the fans what we've been wanting for ages now. Can't wait for the update to drop
Not all of us, sorry. There is another group that still praises for BANDS and a real musician career! And we've been waiting for so long. Everyone gets farms, more cooking themes and everything but an update for the musician career and arts are pretty much ignored anyways.
If there were crushes, one-sided love that would be huge. Like good reputation leads to many crushes and if asks on a date and declining leads to one sided interest. High School would be perfect to bring this up!

Honestly, I’ve never been so excited for a game until this trailer. I’m excited and look forward to game play. The new world, cheerleading, football players, prom. This new pack seems a lot more interactive compared to others. This pack is going to open the door to a variety of storylines for our Sims.
Also, I can't but feel like this trailer really highlights how the Teens in 4 look like Young Adults. Reminds me of those High School Dramas where the "teens" are played by mid-late 20s yo actors 😂
@@hanlitwin I'd like that too. I also wouldn't mind if they keep the current physique of the Teens as well since some teens really do look like they're in their 20s (especially by the Junior and Senior years). Nice bit of variety.
I have same feeling about this. I don't want to rely on custom slider for ever just for make teen look exactly like teen, not like young adult in height comparision
It's gonna be a high school pack lol. The main account is teasing about student life and being a teenager on twitter. If it's gonna be good, and not half-assed, shallow, rushed or buggy or all four is another story..
this expansion looks really good and it seems like it has a lot of game play but the trailer just showcase one of my biggest peeves with this game and it's that teenagers don't look like teenagers... like you could tell me this expansion it's for university and i wouldn't be able to tell the difference
I didn’t think I would be excited about this. But I’m lying. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS! Prom? Being able to go to the school with our kids? SNEAKING OUT?! Sign me tf up
Ok I was skeptical of a pack based just on high school but I AM SOLD! Prom, photo booths, cheerleading, american football, carnivals, active school! theres so much and im so excited!
@@MiloKuroshiro I don’t know if there was a third trailer I didn’t see but I just rewatched the reveal trailer and gameplay trailer for discover university and it never showed classrooms or anything. I highly doubt they would do such false advertising, that’s just asking for huge outrage.

I’m the most excited about that carnival… the rides, scenery, haunted house! Wow… cotton candy and pizza booths would be great, maybe some fortune telling, ouija boards etc.
I am so hyped for this. People have been wanting a high school related expansion pack for years and now we’re getting it. I am hoping they have prom or homecoming dances. Or even cliques. I wonder if there is a new career option for teachers going to the school interacting with the students. Edit: I was right about things in the trailer. Like prom and the cliques. I am excited for this.
I really love this, I just hope we get the social media aspect they showed, but 9 times out of 10 we won't. I'm excited for this expansion pack. So they are breaking up "Generations" watch the next one be "Primary Years" (babies, toddlers, and kids) and then "Golden Years" (elders).
its good they are separating it due to my computer not being able to handle all three, and i do not want all three. Besides, they would have shorted it, instead of this giant expansion pack for JUST TEENS, they would have crammed them all 3 into an expansion and the three wouldn't get their own spot light as much. And yes, they do get more money. It looks like they are working for it tho!
This has me at Sims 3 levels of excitement, this looks so good!! THIS is something I wish was in 3 and from the trailer at least it looks like its gonna be a blast! THIS is part of the gameplay content for other life stages we needed!! Guys, if you all found a way to prioritize packs like this in the beginning we'd be loving the game even more!
@@georgiamary7428 Don't worry, I'm keeping a good portion of healthy skepticism just in case, if you expect the worst its less likely to be a major let down. Though I really hope they knock it out the park with this one... Its something I wanted to see since 2... playable school and more life interactions and experiences for younger life stages... I'm HOPING but not expecting this to be a banger of an expansion pack...
Holy crap they added so much to this pack! I’m seeing a lot of things from previous games which makes me very happy. I’m looking forward to this pack. So glad they included cheerleading and prom. Oddly enough, the carnivals have me the most hyped, PLEASE let this be a hint toward a theme park game pack or something. I have a feeling these carnival rides will just be rabbit holes so that’s why I’d hope for something with roller coasters and activities.
I'm glad to have the socially awkward trait in the game. Now I can replace loner with socially awkward instead, so I can have Insider on my Sim as well.
THE PHOTOBOOTH!!!! I really missed this from the Sims 3. It makes it so much easier to get cute pictures of your sims and their friends/significant other. So excited to see it in the trailer!
I was really expecting this pack but it's literally one of the worst that i've played. I stoped sending my sims to school after 1 week because it was just a routine, they just seat and take some notes and that's it there's really nothing interesting about this pack and the worst part is that every single pack cost the same amount of money, this additional features are really expensive and we are only getting a game full of glitches and a boring gameplay so this is why i don't buy packs anymore and just download them on internet bc it's really not worth the money. I used to buy every single pack until 2018 when i understood that the game was just not fun, i can play a game pack for 1 or 2 days and then i become bored bc there's really not much to do. I'm very sad cuz i'm a huge fan of this game since i was little, i grew up playing the sims 2 and 3 and they gave me amazing experiences, hopefully EA can stop giving us this incomplete packs and just start from the bottom with a new game.
As excited as I am for this, it would have been nice to add pre-teens as a new age as to give a more fluid separation between kid and teen. I don't like how when a kid aged from a teen, their appearance goes from 7 to 16 within a blink of an eye. There is so much that goes on between those ages. It also would have been nice if this pack didn't just include only high school if this is and college are the only schools that will not be a rabbit hole. I might be outlier here, but I think it would be fun to play as an elementary school aged sim in school. Middle school, I'm not a fan of (too many hormones and bad memories from that time period), but I am sure there are other simmers that are.
Honestly the days and the life span don’t show that there is space for another stage of life…at least for now. When u have 7 days each season. I don’t know if it would be easy to have pre teens when u have kids. Since kids stay like that for 7 days and teens for 14. U can tell they can’t changed easy
sims 4 dlc trailers taught me to never have high expectations. this *seems* like a cool concept. i'll wait until gameplay reviews come out before buying.
I gotta say that the most exciting thing I've seen from the trailer for me isn't the high school stuff, but the _carnival????!_ 😲 I really hope there's a lot to do there!!! 🥺

It looks interesting. I wish one of the updates they did was to make teenagers shorter and “ganglier” than adult Sims, because they still look like adults dressed as teens. It reminds me of CW shows and movies where they try to pass off 20-something-year-olds as 16-year-olds. The carnival/faire was a surprise. I hope they offer a variety of after-school events in addition to the scouts and drama club. I also hope there is a normal size microscope in here. When would be a better time to add it?
i mean they already added a normal sized telescope. it would be great to downsize the microscope too, i can already imagine potential science lab classes with a little microscope on the tables😩✋
Hugely agree with the microscope thing! Like i always want to be able to have one for my teens who are into science, but its so unrealistic for a teenager to have a giant piece of mega machinery just to dabble in their science interest 😆
same, I wish they made teens more shorter aswell. I think they made them the same as ya and elders so they can all share the same clothing instead of teens and elders having their own clothing category like in the sims 3
I’m not gonna lie this looks good, I am hopeful. By the looks of things The high school is not a rabbit hole but a get to work style immersive experience. Thank God, This will make it so much easier for our teen Sims to make friends. The cheerleading part of it looks good. And I’m glad that there’s a practice mat for at home practice. I hope there is some kind of like popularity system. The social media and gaming stuff as well as the carnival area looks interesting. I don’t know I’m feeling hopeful.
I just thought "yay more packs!" But then you brought up a really good point about it being easier to make friends. Everytime I have a child or teen sim its like they meet no one even when I set them to make friends 😭
I kind of hope it’s like get to work where you can choose to follow them or just let them to their own thing in a rabbit hole but I have been excited since the list leaked
After finding out how the pack does not run well with other packs and cheerleaders can’t even work on school grounds and the patch has caused some unfortunate glitches its safe to say this trailer is a lie. So sad cause the trailer makes it look amazing. Why can’t parenthood work with this ?
@@Marissa71490 That is not a good sign at all. Most Sims players want to play the game with all the packs. Not just one. I just hope a fix comes soon. If not then I guess we will wait for modders to fix this since that is what is happening at this point now.
@@Marissa71490 Well seeing as I am waiting for other mods i use to be updated I won't update my game yet. I already bought the pack. I will hunt down for those mods once the mods I use are updated. I can't play without mods since Sims 4 is boring without them.
I thought the same thing! I get that it's too late to change teen's heights but I will always be upset over it on some level. They should have fixed it in the first year of release. It's one of the most glaring reminders that sims 4 has always been a watered-down, more expensive version than the previous games. These critiques do not mean I hate 4, there is a lot I love about it, but there are things I'm not going to forget that EA made 4 bad until very recently.
@@gathoblaster4329 Well, it's more of their actual build. Would have been nice if teen sims were a touch shorter with narrower builds as a base. But we have what we have.
@@gathoblaster4329 You said the problem, *scaled down.* The sims 4 teens are not scaled down. Sims 4 is a video game, it doesn't need total realism. Sure, 16-19 yr olds might be tall, but the video game encompasses 13-19 and it should average that so these video game teens should be a size between child and adult, not actual adult size.
@@SunshineStorm The issue isn't even the height..it's their body shape and faces which makes these "teens" like 20+ years old. In Sims 2 they actually look 13-17 cause they have baby faces and less developed bodies; they are also shorter than adults and have their own teenage wardrobe.
I like how it can also be a reference to the previous game pack werewolves considering when you create a werewolf it’s just as hard for them to be the new member of the pack they choose to join and work hard to become the next alpha. Sounds about close to being the new kid and raising up to be the popular kid who’s also school president lol
I’m SO excited for this 😄 the ONLY thing I might suggest is that they make the teens just a little younger looking, you’re still a kid when you’re a teen :) other than that the pack looks fantastic
Maybe you ahould start actually making them look awkward and like kids then instead of super models who dress like 30 year olds. There's acne and braces man, use em.

I bought University for Building items only. I've played the thing twice. I don't even build there. Also for the Person talking about expansion packs, Get Together & City Living in my opinion are the Best. Season should just be added to base game. And Get Work , needs Work. The Rest are Fine.
I hope so and the bar is even low for that, I just hope it's functional and cross compatible like being able to have prom on a rooftop in San myshuno and graduation at a pier in brindlegnton Bay. Just not going to be excited with 3 interaction on a ball and no bands :(
If the gameplay is the same as the trailer. When truth is, the school got only 10 students and some just stand there and do nothing. I hope there is a lot to expect in The Sims 5.
Tbh that isn't something to be mad about. There is only 12 students allowed to spawn because of players with bad PCs. Besides, as long as you aren't a console player, there's the option of downloading a mod that allows 24 students which fills up the entire school. I'd recommend downloading that
It's insane to me how people call this pack a waste of money. Like, they legit added boba tea. There are so many CLOTHES, I guess I see how people say it should've been a game pack but the school is still functional! I always had a hard time having my teenage sims meet other teens and this is a great opportunity for that! The social media and thrift shop alone would've sold it for me. And people act like they aren't getting what they paid for 🙄 If you're going and getting upset over this, what life do you have outside of The Sims? I'm a simmer too, but what does it take for people to be happy with what they get?

I feel like this would be more fun if the teens in TS4 actually looked like teens. This trailer was kind of silly to watch it's like the 30 yr olds they cast as high schoolers on Riverdale
Not to disappoint you but most 30yr olds I know have extra lbs, no style, wrinkles or fine lines and hair loss. The 30 year old people you see playing as teens are attractive adults who really take care of themselves. And nowadays teens try to make themselves look "hot" and look like in their 20s so I don't think the teens in this game are too unrealistic.

I hope they also give the option in build mode to set whether the school/venue requires uniforms (kinda like retail lots). As someone from a country that has school uniforms as the norm it would've been cool to see that option! Overall im happy with the pack especially the carnival stuff! 💕
By their outfits in the trailer u don't think we are getting that cause the fashion stylist girl wasnt wearing a uniform and the hottie and the other teens are wearing normal clothes exelt for the pain in the a** girl lol
@@Renikee hm nah, it would be nice if there was something to modify each Sim's individual height. I'm much bigger than most of my relatives even though I'm a teenager. If we're talking about realism, that would be nice, but it would be a bit complicated and there would be a lot of bugs
As a devoted console simmer, I have such high hopes for this! I’ve ALWAYS wanted a school pack that would give my sims more life (instead of staring at the screen until 3p). And this year I kept thinking about some sort of amusement park pack/world. Great to see some sort of possible mixture of both those things. Really hope they deliver.
I already expect the worst since alot of the trailers showed they werent rabbitholes (island living scubadiving, University classes) so dont expect too much on this What I think will happen is that there will be a hallway with multiple doors and each is basically a rabbit hole. Also the possible thing is the school itself might be a loading screen (so outside can be all those things they showed us eg.horror house) and the actual classes will be a rabbit hole but we do get to see the inside of the school Kinda like that bunker in strangerville. But each class will probably be in a rabbit hole behind a door in the school hallway.Since they would need to have to think about classes and how they work since each class would have time and schedule and 1 hour in Sim world is way to small if u are to be given a task and with simulation lag being a thing (even on vanilla) theres alot they nid to do and I dont see them doing that. Over all I do hope they break my expectations and actually do what the trailers show but having low expectations will lead to less disappointment
@@KiotheCloud yea, I was just hoping it was more on the lines of get to work with certain tasks that need to be completed which would increase your sims grade. Now I’m thinking it might be more like university…hopefully not.
@@brylaia i mean in sulani diving was also shown underwater and university too showed us on of yhe classroom(the one with engineering table) but both were rabbit holes so yeah... dont get ur hopes too high but out of all the expansions I still think sulani was the best so far

@@theteacupbunny632 I know there is one.. I’m not sure what it’s called but there is a preteen mod that is modded to also have a middle school. Clair sobhán uses it in her not so berry challenge!
well, all the items from the high school were added so I think the point was to show a bunch of different versions of the high school to show the potential you can have with customizing. Imagine having to take out all of the items just to revamp the school, that would be super annoying
I really hope the High School is like the GTW or Get Famous acting lots. Your sims "go to school" and then go thru a loading screen to the lot. I really hope we can interact at school instead of just a rabbit hole!!
The thing is if it’s a high school EXPANSION pack then they have to allow for them to go to school and do more interactions because high school is a rabbit hole right now🥲😭
Personally I'd prefer a real high school but rabbit hole classes. Like the careers, I only want to play them through a few times, and since high school would be every day, every teen sim. I think classes would get boring really quick.

As a simmer myself, I do certainly wish that in a patch update, they make classrooms interactive for Discover University, just like for High School Years, which had a similar approach to Sims 3: University Life
Awesome. Ive been sick most of my life and because of that I was unable to attend my schools prom and i didnt even get to graduate. so glad that i can finally live out my highschool dreams through this expansion. :)
@@theminegirl3775 have you seen how expensive prom dresses are? Even renting one can cost a lot. And actually you have to buy lunches and supplies for any school. I was bullied on the bus and in class so I was removed from being on the bus. So my mom was driving us to school every morning and picking us up after school every afternoon. Homeschooling cut down on using gas in our personal vehicles and sometimes we only had 1 working vehicle that needed to be driven to work and wasnt available to take us to school. School supplies and paying for school books from a school costs more than buying books from online or at a store. Being poor caused the bullying, as well, because we couldn't afford to participate in the book fairs, money for fieldtrips, brand new clothes and backpacks every semester, ect. So your financial status does tend to interfere with your schooling.
This is the most Gen Z pack I have ever witnessed; HOWEVER, with that being said, as an OG avid Sims player (since Sims 1 was released) THIS IS THE PACK I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! Oh, and upright pianos. But it’s okay Sims team, you take your time, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there because you all DELIVERED!!!
And as a Gen Z I am very excited. It makes sense for the pack to be very Gen Z though because they want the pact to reflect the present and to not feel outdated already at release and currently Gen Z are the ones in high school.

My god, the Sims is such a goldmine. Never have I seen a crowd that is so easily to exploit. Awful pack after pack, with lackluster amounts of content for big pricetags and they just eat it up like it's the second coming of Jesus.

That's what I said but I am sure we will get it eventually in a separate pack as well as a middle school with preteens finally added to the game, and I would like to think a daycare/preschool pack (since toddlers already go to daycare when you leave) which I hope would be when they'd update babies or even just change the baby life state to newborn and add a new life state called infants which have better babies
Ok this trailer was amazing. Honestly the best one yet. I’m gonna get it regardless because it expands the stories and game play but I’m excited. I hope players can actually do everything in the game that’s in the trailer.
Really hoping that if this is an highschool pack they add bands, concerts, movie theatres, more hangout places for teens, cliques, maybe an attractiveness system, crushes, popularity, skate parks. I just hope it's good

Absolutely living for this pack. I can finally live out my high school days without a toxic friend group. Also, love the Minecraft poster, every single sim will own that poster.
So fun to come back to these trailers after some time! The Sims team is really good at making amazing trailers, still feeling the butterflies like watching it the first time 😍
i think this may genuinely be one of the best packs. just from the trailer you can see that there is so much for teens to do now, like my sims can get DETENTION??! this is literally better than I expected and i’m so glade they have finally been listening to us.
okay another of my ideas, they should add the pre-adolescents to finish the life stages of the sims, and give the option to the adolescents to go for a baby and that they must take care not to reach it, improve the infants , more clothes, pacifiers ect.

I loved everything I saw in the trailer (even watched it at half speed, the song’s not as good at that speed lol) and caught stuff I didn’t the first time and then watched Plumbella and James Turner formerly known as TheSimSupply do their reviews, DrGluon too because fezzes are cool. And everyone is so excited….. I’m worried. But man! I wanna go to the prom!! (I wanna hang out in my besties window too!)
@Zy'Keria’s Diary I am saying never because I'm being realistic. They're not adding a new life stage this late in the game. It took them like 2 years to create the toddler stage. We are not getting preteens. If we do, they will need to integrate all new clothing and animations for everything with teens and I just don't see them doing that. And they will miss content from all the other packs like Toddlers don't get any content from packs that came out before Toddlers came.
My only concern for this pack is the significant lack of nerdy + other stuff, I wanna see the kids who were part of the dnd club, or the students who were always in the woodworking part of the school, the awkward band kids, etc etc basically I want some imperfection in the highschool experience- overall though the pack looks EXCELLENT! Hope it lives up to the standard the trailer is building 👌🏻
woodworking isn’t really a common high school experience & neither are dnd (not to mention that requires licensing) clubs. it’s pretty niche in comparison to sports, chess clubs, band, etc.

@@hartage4 honestly, the preteen mod should just be called realistic teen mod lol. The children in the sims 4 already look between 8 and 10, while in the preteen mod they look like 13-14??? Nonetheless, though I do get that some teenagers look older, at the same time, it is very annoying that they have basically no differences besides some gameplay options.

Ok but the Island expansion trailer showed sims actually scuba diving and it was a rabbit hole. I will expect the worst for the high school expansion and let people buy and review before I buy. Wasted too much money on expansions that seemed cool and were boring as hell.
Finally a pack that actually incorporates into the core of the game and not just a niche theme that's a one and done experience that makes no use of the core gameplay.
No use in core gameplay for YOU. If the niche theme isn’t for you then don’t get the pack. Some people play with vampires everyday, some people make all their sims celebrities, some people use knitting all the time, that’s why the niches are DLC and not in the main game because you don’t have to get it.

Most people buy those packs, play them once or twice then never touch them again. Niche packs ARE those packs that you get a lot of use out of for some people. You may not like knitting, I LOVE having my Sims make gifts for their kids and using Plopsy. And like I said I could argue why core things should be in the main game itself and packs would be more for niches. You pay extra for something you want instead of something you need. Just simply DONT buy the things you don't want. It's quite literally harder to buy the things you don't want, why are you complaining? Do you just WANT to give EA more of your money?

Honestly, I’ve never been so excited for a game until this trailer. I’m excited and look forward to game play. The new world, cheerleading, football players, prom. This new pack seems a lot more interactive compared to others. This pack is going to open the door to a variety of storylines for our Sims.

I really love this, I just hope we get the social media aspect they showed, but 9 times out of 10 we won't. I'm excited for this expansion pack. So they are breaking up "Generations" watch the next one be "Primary Years" (babies, toddlers, and kids) and then "Golden Years" (elders).

its good they are separating it due to my computer not being able to handle all three, and i do not want all three. Besides, they would have shorted it, instead of this giant expansion pack for JUST TEENS, they would have crammed them all 3 into an expansion and the three wouldn't get their own spot light as much. Oddly enough, the carnivals have me the most hyped, PLEASE let this be a hint toward a theme park game pack or something. I have a feeling these carnival rides will just be rabbit holes so that’s why I’d hope for something with roller coasters and activities.

I was really expecting this pack but it's literally one of the worst that i've played. I stoped sending my sims to school after 1 week because it was just a routine, they just seat and take some notes and that's it there's really nothing interesting about this pack and the worst part is that every single pack cost the same amount of money, this additional features are really expensive and we are only getting a game full of glitches and a boring gameplay so this is why i don't buy packs anymore and just download them on internet bc it's really not worth the money. I used to buy every single pack until 2018 when i understood that the game was just not fun, i can play a game pack for 1 or 2 days and then i become bored bc there's really not much to do.
I'm very sad cuz i'm a huge fan of this game since i was little, i grew up playing the sims 2 and 3 and they gave me amazing experiences, hopefully EA can stop giving us this incomplete packs and just start from the bottom with a new game.

As excited as I am for this, it would have been nice to add pre-teens as a new age as to give a more fluid separation between kid and teen. I don't like how when a kid aged from a teen, their appearance goes from 7 to 16 within a blink of an eye. There is so much that goes on between those ages. It also would have been nice if this pack didn't just include only high school if this is and college are the only schools that will not be a rabbit hole. I might be outlier here, but I think it would be fun to play as an elementary school aged sim in school. Middle school, I'm not a fan of (too many hormones and bad memories from that time period), but I am sure there are other simmers that are.
The modder who made preteens were hired by EA recently, she probably contributed for this EP, so we might have preteens though...
Honestly the days and the life span don’t show that there is space for another stage of life…at least for now. When u have 7 days each season. I don’t know if it would be easy to have pre teens when u have kids. Since kids stay like that for 7 days and teens for 14. U can tell they can’t changed easy

It looks interesting. I wish one of the updates they did was to make teenagers shorter and “ganglier” than adult Sims, because they still look like adults dressed as teens. It reminds me of CW shows and movies where they try to pass off 20-something-year-olds as 16-year-olds. The carnival/faire was a surprise. I hope they offer a variety of after-school events in addition to the scouts and drama club. I also hope there is a normal size microscope in here. When would be a better time to add it?
i mean they already added a normal sized telescope. it would be great to downsize the microscope too, i can already imagine potential science lab classes with a little microscope on the tables😩✋
Hugely agree with the microscope thing! Like i always want to be able to have one for my teens who are into science, but its so unrealistic for a teenager to have a giant piece of mega machinery just to dabble in their science interest 😆

I’m not gonna lie this looks good, I am hopeful. By the looks of things The high school is not a rabbit hole but a get to work style immersive experience. Thank God, This will make it so much easier for our teen Sims to make friends. The cheerleading part of it looks good. And I’m glad that there’s a practice mat for at home practice. I hope there is some kind of like popularity system. The social media and gaming stuff as well as the carnival area looks interesting. I don’t know I’m feeling hopeful.

After finding out how the pack does not run well with other packs and cheerleaders can’t even work on school grounds and the patch has caused some unfortunate glitches its safe to say this trailer is a lie. So sad cause the trailer makes it look amazing. Why can’t parenthood work with this ?
Its like they forgot about every previous pack and only made this around base game.
@@Marissa71490 That is not a good sign at all. Most Sims players want to play the game with all the packs. Not just one. I just hope a fix comes soon. If not then I guess we will wait for modders to fix this since that is what is happening at this point now.

Wow, this entire trailer just really hammered home how all the 'teenagers' in the Sims 4 look exactly like adults.

I get that it's too late to change teen's heights but I will always be upset over it on some level. They should have fixed it in the first year of release.
It's one of the most glaring reminders that sims 4 has always been a watered-down, more expensive version than the previous games.
These critiques do not mean I hate 4, there is a lot I love about it, but there are things I'm not going to forget that EA made 4 bad until very recently.

Sure, 16-19 yr olds might be tall, but the video game encompasses 13-19 and it should average that so these video game teens should be a size between child and adult, not actual adult size.
@@SunshineStorm The issue isn't even the height..it's their body shape and faces which makes these "teens" like 20+ years old. In Sims 2 they actually look 13-17 cause they have baby faces and less developed bodies; they are also shorter than adults and have their own teenage wardrobe.

I like how it can also be a reference to the previous game pack werewolves considering when you create a werewolf it’s just as hard for them to be the new member of the pack they choose to join and work hard to become the next alpha. Sounds about close to being the new kid and raising up to be the popular kid who’s also school president lol

My wedding stories was a trainwreck, but cottage living and werewolves were very good-! And I hope it will be even better then discover university.
So far there hasn’t been a single expansion pack that I haven’t loved. But most of the game packs and stuff packs haven’t interested me.
I bought University for Building items only. I've played the thing twice. I don't even build there. Also for the Person talking about expansion packs, Get Together & City Living in my opinion are the Best. Season should just be added to base game. And Get Work , needs Work. The Rest are Fine.
I hope so and the bar is even low for that, I just hope it's functional and cross compatible like being able to have prom on a rooftop in San myshuno and graduation at a pier in brindlegnton Bay. Just not going to be excited with 3 interaction on a ball and no bands :(

When truth is, the school got only 10 students and some just stand there and do nothing. I hope there is a lot to expect in The Sims 5.
Tbh that isn't something to be mad about. There is only 12 students allowed to spawn because of players with bad PCs. Besides, as long as you aren't a console player, there's the option of downloading a mod that allows 24 students which fills up the entire school. I'd recommend downloading that

It's insane to me how people call this pack a waste of money. Like, they legit added boba tea. There are so many CLOTHES, I guess I see how people say it should've been a game pack but the school is still functional! I always had a hard time having my teenage sims meet other teens and this is a great opportunity for that! The social media and thrift shop alone would've sold it for me. And people act like they aren't getting what they paid for 🙄

Not to disappoint you but most 30yr olds I know have extra lbs, no style, wrinkles or fine lines and hair loss.
The 30 year old people you see playing as teens are attractive adults who really take care of themselves.
And nowadays teens try to make themselves look "hot" and look like in their 20s so I don't think the teens in this game are too unrealistic.

@@Renikee hm nah, it would be nice if there was something to modify each Sim's individual height. I'm much bigger than most of my relatives even though I'm a teenager. If we're talking about realism, that would be nice, but it would be a bit complicated and there would be a lot of bugs

As a devoted console simmer, I have such high hopes for this! I’ve ALWAYS wanted a school pack that would give my sims more life (instead of staring at the screen until 3p). And this year I kept thinking about some sort of amusement park pack/world. Great to see some sort of possible mixture of both those things. Really hope they deliver.
I already expect the worst since alot of the trailers showed they werent rabbitholes (island living scubadiving, University classes) so dont expect too much on this What I think will happen is that there will be a hallway with multiple doors and each is basically a rabbit hole. Also the possible thing is the school itself might be a loading screen (so outside can be all those things they showed us eg.horror house) and the actual classes will be a rabbit hole but we do get to see the inside of the school Kinda like that bunker in strangerville. But each class will probably be in a rabbit hole behind a door in the school hallway.Since they would need to have to think about classes and how they work since each class would have time and schedule and 1 hour in Sim world is way to small if u are to be given a task and with simulation lag being a thing (even on vanilla) theres alot they nid to do and I dont see them doing that.
Over all I do hope they break my expectations and actually do what the trailers show but having low expectations will lead to less disappointment
@@KiotheCloud yea, I was just hoping it was more on the lines of get to work with certain tasks that need to be completed which would increase your sims grade. Now I’m thinking it might be more like university…hopefully not.

@@brylaia i mean in sulani diving was also shown underwater and university too showed us on of yhe classroom(the one with engineering table) but both were rabbit holes so yeah... dont get ur hopes too high but out of all the expansions I still think sulani was the best so far

well, all the items from the high school were added so I think the point was to show a bunch of different versions of the high school to show the potential you can have with customizing. Imagine having to take out all of the items just to revamp the school, that would be super annoying

Personally I'd prefer a real high school but rabbit hole classes. Like the careers, I only want to play them through a few times, and since high school would be every day, every teen sim. I think classes would get boring really quick.

Because of poverty and bullying i didn't get to go to High school at all but always wondered what it would be like to be asked to prom and attend.
Some countries don't even have prom (like mine) so I'll be able to have a prom in my sims games. Something that I never had I'll be able to go through

@@theminegirl3775 have you seen how expensive prom dresses are? Even renting one can cost a lot. And actually you have to buy lunches and supplies for any school. I was bullied on the bus and in class so I was removed from being on the bus. So my mom was driving us to school every morning and picking us up after school every afternoon. Homeschooling cut down on using gas in our personal vehicles and sometimes we only had 1 working vehicle that needed to be driven to work and wasnt available to take us to school. School supplies and paying for school books from a school costs more than buying books from online or at a store. Being poor caused the bullying, as well, because we couldn't afford to participate in the book fairs, money for fieldtrips, brand new clothes and backpacks every semester, ect. So your financial status does tend to interfere with your schooling.
I can't remember a time where I was this excited about a pack!!! Can't wait for tomorrow!

And as a Gen Z I am very excited. It makes sense for the pack to be very Gen Z though because they want the pact to reflect the present and to not feel outdated already at release and currently Gen Z are the ones in high school.

That's what I said but I am sure we will get it eventually in a separate pack as well as a middle school with preteens finally added to the game, and I would like to think a daycare/preschool pack (since toddlers already go to daycare when you leave) which I hope would be when they'd update babies or even just change the baby life state to newborn and add a new life state called infants which have better babies

Ok this trailer was amazing. Honestly the best one yet. I’m gonna get it regardless because it expands the stories and game play but I’m excited. I hope players can actually do everything in the game that’s in the trailer.

okay another of my ideas, they should add the pre-adolescents to finish the life stages of the sims, and give the option to the adolescents to go for a baby and that they must take care not to reach it, improve the infants , more clothes, pacifiers ect.

@Zy'Keria’s Diary I am saying never because I'm being realistic. They're not adding a new life stage this late in the game. It took them like 2 years to create the toddler stage. We are not getting preteens. If we do, they will need to integrate all new clothing and animations for everything with teens and I just don't see them doing that. And they will miss content from all the other packs like Toddlers don't get any content from packs that came out before Toddlers came.
My only concern for this pack is the significant lack of nerdy + other stuff, I wanna see the kids who were part of the dnd club, or the students who were always in the woodworking part of the school, the awkward band kids, etc etc basically I want some imperfection in the highschool experience- overall though the pack looks EXCELLENT! Hope it lives up to the standard the trailer is building 👌🏻
